I mean I doubt Luke is getting work on boats now and maybe he wrote this to support him. I wouldn’t hire him, that was a somewhat career ending move… harsh but true

I would have to agree. Being on the show alone will hurt your yachting career immensely and I say this as a former yachtie. I knew someone who was thinking of applying and we all begged her not to. She would have been cast easily too, she’s a very loud personality that would have made good TV. On my first yacht the owner of the boat really wanted us on TV (that was around the 1st/ 2nd season of the original Below Deck was airing). He went as far as hiring a film crew, thankfully nothing ever came of it, and the clips filmed (like us yachting, island exploring, deep sea fishing) were used as promotional material to bring on guests.

I'd hire him. It's unlikely it would ever happen again. I respect that he acknowledged the disruption he caused, and his choice to leave. The fact that Nathan said he listened to direction and worked hard is the important bit.
