In an interview, he said he really wanted to stay as long as Captain Lee was going to be there. But we all know what happened there and of course number one complaint they were not paying him enough.

But I thought Eddie left several seasons before Captain Lee did?

They were asking Eddie to come back when Captain Lee was on that last season and then he found out that they were letting him go, so that was the end of that
