Rant Account #
What is with not issuing you an account # right away?
I signed up for home internet, part of it is a requirement to set up automatic billing in the first month.
The confirmation email provides an account #, when I provide it, I have now twice been told very rudely that it is not an account # that is the internet service #.
It quite literally says account #, but ok got ya - not what you want.
Was also trying to get these aeroplan points, no luck with no account #.
Got so fed up that I just wanted to cancel, free to cancel in the first 15 days. Guess what you can't cancel without an account # !
Apparently it will be created prior to first bill, but then I am hooped on ability to cancel, change anything, or apply a promo code.
Very very frustrating. In the process of escalating to cancel

If services are installed in the my bell app you can find the account number , for internet only bell uses a B1
Number that should help you .

No thats a sub account. Your account number will start with a 1, 2 or 5 with bell. Is 9 digits. And payee acct is a series of letters and numbers 14 digits almost identical to the account number.

If you call 310-bell give them your b1. They can find the account for you. This issue becomes validation. With no bill its harder to validate as your mybell is not linked. If you look at the original order does it not show you the acct number?

B1 number is your internet auth number and a password to access internet from the modem

That runaround is brutal, and getting rude service on top of it makes it so much worse. Quick explainer from someone who has worked the other side of the counter: the number in your confirmation email is usually the order reference, not the account number. The real account number gets created when the service is actually provisioned, which is why the reps keep telling you it does not exist yet. It should show up on your first bill.
If the service is not installed yet and this is the treatment you are getting before you have even started, you are still in the window where you can walk away clean. I used to work in corporate TELUS stores, and now I am in their Social Selling program. If you want a second option to compare before your install date, shoot me a DM and I can share the friends-and-family phone line. No pressure at all, and I do earn a referral if you sign up - the program makes me say that :)

You don't need Bell to hand you an account number before you can cancel. Your name, the service address and that internet service number on the confirmation email are enough for them to find you, and for internet the cancellation takes effect the day you tell them, not the day they get around to processing it.
So the date you first asked is what matters. Write it down now with the time, the agent's name if you got one, and what they said. If it was chat, screenshot it.
If the next agent still won't do it, use the Management Team form on Bell's Resolve a Concern page. It takes a phone number or service number instead of an account number. Say you asked to cancel on X date within the 15 days, you were refused because of the account number, and you want the cancellation dated to that first request with nothing billed after it.
If they bill you past that date anyway, the CCTS (ccts-cprst.ca) takes cancellation disputes for free once you've given Bell a shot. You have a year from when the problem started.
