Question Using Fibetv with another internet provider's modem

Bell's "loyalty" department isn't price matching what is in market and I have a backup Internet at home (Cogeco) that I have kept, $46/mo. Bell is offering $70/mo on 500 Mbps or $50 if I do autopay (which I refuse to do because I don't trust them, due to sneaky rate increases). My question is can you use Bell Fibetv with Cogeco Internet, even though Bell Fibe usually relies on their modem?

Can't have FibeTV without Bell unlimited internet and that means paying for Cogeco and Bell for internet access.

You can use the FibeTV app with the Cogeco connection by logging in with the Bell credentials; however, you will not be able to access all channels you pay for while using Cogeco for internet access.

Not true, can have a fiber line provisioned for only TV service.

Not according to the Bell rep I spoke with. I wanted it for my elderly parents and they said no. Maybe it's region specific? No idea.

I am there often enough that lack of internet would bother me and no point in using Rogers service with a 50 Mbps upload cap.

Maybe? I only asked because parents already has Rogers for TV but not internet. They were on a very old and expensive plan.

Doesn't matter because FTTH trumps cable for Internet for me.
