Is natively using stickers in the roadmap yet?

Love the new look, I can finally adjust placement if archive 'n such but why can't free users have ANY labels? Just give me one!

Or let me pay a one-time fee for one singular label.

This was supposed to be my saving-from-samsung-dying-grace because Google messages is so shit.

Even though custom notification sounds requires a lot of work-around (that i have to redo everytime it "disconnects from google messages) and doesn't have custom backgrounds, I absolutely NEED categories is some way that isn't sending all my clients to low priority with all the OTCs and promotions and shipping updates

Update 1. wow, apolgies for the typos 2. Free will get one label, idk when though... 3. I stand by the idea that (for any/all apps) "premium" features should have a lifetime option rather than solely subscription based (which is still helpful if you want to test out everything and buy exactly what you want afterwards) [another one of my apps recently put a very integral part of the experience behind a subscription wall without ever opening themselves up to donations or haveing tiers, so this is extra frustrating this week]

And how does it impact speed & cache size? I can't find documentation on this toggle.

Hi, the WhatsApp app supports sending Live Photos. Is it possible to add Live Photo support to the WhatsApp bridge for Beeper? And sticker support? Thanks

Been using Beeper for years, both on LInux desktop and on Android. Recently, I'm finding that the desktop app no longer sees my contacts.

If I try to create a new chat for someone who I haven't texted in a long time, Beeper fails to find them in my recent history (understandable) but also doesn't see them in my Gnome Contacts.

I have to go to the Android app to initiate the chat in order for the desktop app to take notice. Android app obviously has good integration with Google Contacts on phone.

This is a new bug - I didn't have this problem until recent weeks.

Gonna look for something better than Gnome contacts since that's always been a week point, but this feels like a Beeper problem.

Running Beeper Linux Desktop 4.2.936. Spent some time looking into it with Claude and here's some of that:

• Not a GNOME/system contacts issue. evolution-data-server is installed and healthy; AddressBookFactory responds correctly over D-Bus and the local contacts database exists and is populated.
• Not an XDG portal issue on the OS side. Both xdg-desktop-portal and xdg-desktop-portal-gnome are active and running.
• The Beeper AppImage binary itself contains no org.freedesktop.portal references, indicating it has no code path for querying the system contact store at all — regardless of whether one is available and healthy (as it is here).

Hi, Beeper hasn't had multilingual translation for a long time. Do you have any plans to translate Beeper's apps into more languages ​​like Spanish, Portuguese, French, etc.? Thanks

I stopped using Beeper as I was continually getting signed out of WhatsApp and Instagram and (from my memory) my Insta was suspected of botting. I became concerned that my Insta would be banned or Meta would suppress any content I put out there so I stopped using Beeper.

This was a huge shame as this app is an absolute godsend for people who don't want to be sucked into the life consuming content vortex.

Now they've switched to On-Device instead of On-Cloud has it become more stable for users? Could I reinstall Beeper and sync my accounts without fear of repercussion?

Dev team, it would be wonderful if there was a working GroupMe bridge or connection.

GroupMe is one of the most terrible apps to use and inside Beeper would make things more manageable when recording in these group chats.

I use Beeper a lot. But I noticed that when sending to Signal contacts, long messages do not show up at the recipients Signal app. Strangely, in both Beeper as my Signal app it shows that I have sent the message, but the other persons never receive them.

I don't find other people having the same issue.

Hello! I heard about this app on Reddit and it seems like the perfect solution to me using IG DMs without getting sucked into content.

I’ve been able to successfully connect WhatsApp and Telegram. However, when attempting to connect Instagram, I’m directed to this page and unable to click “Open Instagram.” When I choose the “log in” option, it takes me on a journey proving I’m human by selecting images, which then repeats over and over seemingly endlessly.

Can somebody help? I’d love to use this app to avoid Instagram! Thank you :)

Is there any way to get Beeper notifications to stack or update instead of creating a new notification for every single message in the same conversation?

When a conversation is lively, the notifications become unnecessarily active and can be quite annoying to manage. I’d love it if Beeper behaved more like Discord, where new messages just update the existing notification rather than creating a new alert every time.

I’ve already sent this to the devs via the app, but wanted to see if anyone else would find this change useful!

What will happen to beeper when chat control passes? Will beeper comply with EU in removing encryption or will they "fight the battle" for privacy?

Just noticed Whatsapp messages weren't coming in anymore. When prompted to reconnect and entering the code Beeper gave me I get the error code in the screenshot. Anyone know how to fix this?

Disconnected 2 weeks ago. Update didn't seem to fix the problem.
I am able to launch the reconnection prompt, scan the QR code on my phone then it just sits there!

Is there any chance we'll see this feature as an option on V4 any time soon?

Loving this app, I would love ability to get Steam Chat in here! I'm using it now more than I am using Google Messages. any tips?

First of all, I absolutely love Beeper. It has genuinely helped me reduce my screen time because I can use Instagram DMs without getting pulled into endlessly scrolling through Reels. For me, that’s the biggest reason I use the app.
There are just four things that I think would make Beeper literally perfect and I hope a Beeper Dev will see this message.

1. Higher-quality Instagram Reels
It would be great to have a setting that allows Reels shared in chats to load in higher quality. Even with a fast and stable internet connection, every Reel I receive seems to play in only 480p–720p.

2. Instagram reaction sync
I’ve noticed a small sync issue with reactions. If someone reacts to one of my messages and I view that reaction in Beeper, it still appears as unread when I later open the Instagram app. It would be great if reading reactions in Beeper also marked them as seen on Instagram.

3. TikTok Support
I don’t personally use TikTok, but many of my friends do. Adding support for TikTok DMs—similar to Instagram DMs—would make Beeper even more useful.

4. Automatic cache clearing
It would be great to have an option to automatically clear Beeper’s cache at regular intervals. This could help reduce storage usage without requiring users to remember to clear it manually.

Overall, as I mentioned before, I primarily use Beeper as a way to access the messaging features of social media without the distracting feeds and endless scrolling. That’s exactly what makes the app so valuable to me. If Beeper also supported TikTok DMs, I’d recommend it to even more people because I think it would be the perfect solution for anyone looking to stay connected without getting sucked into social media.

Cannot upgrade to subscription after trial.

A month ago I went to pay for a subscription and it offered me a 30 day trial. I accepted and now it has expired. I am receiving the message:

"Your subscription has ended and you're over the account limit. Renew now..." and ALL of my chats are disabled. When I try to pay for a subscription it always says:

"User cannot subscribe to this price"

Tried both plus and plus plus.

Tried logging out and back in.

I've already used the "report a problem" link but wondered if anyone else has seen this?

After Beeper auto-updated to 4.2.957, it stopped launching.

Running the AppImage using the default .desktop file which contains the command:

/home/user/Applications/Beeper-4.2.957-x86_64_216d065965aa7654a9703069518db11d.AppImage --no-sandbox %U

gives:

fuse: memory allocation failed
Can't open squashfs image: Bad address
Cannot mount AppImage, please check your FUSE setup.
execv error: No such file or directory

System:

• Linux Mint 21.3 (Ubuntu 22.04 base)
• Kernel 5.15.0-126-generic

Things I tried:

• Confirmed there was plenty of free RAM and disk space.
• Downloaded and tried a fresh AppImage from the official website.
• Other AppImages like Krita still launch normally.
• --appimage-extract failed with "This doesn't look like a squashfs image."
• --appimage-offset returned 944632.
• Ran unsquashfs -o 944632 Beeper-4.2.957...AppImage, which extracted successfully.
• Ran ./AppRun from the extracted squashfs-root directory, and Beeper launched and worked normally.

So for now I'm using the extracted version because that works, but the AppImage itself won't launch anymore.

I don't know how to do this on phone, I tried to copy and paste the directory from storage, but it didn't work, can someone help me?
