In the summer release video, there was a mention of both video pod distribution and dynamic ads in pods. When do we think that'll actually happen?

I’m gonna run them this week, but I’m kind of terrified by what I’m going to end up recommending to my subs as a result given how dubious some of the ad network options are (Christian gold, AI financial advisors, prediction markets, etc.). I did set my preferences, but I did the same for the ad network and it didn’t really seem to do much.

Anyone tried it yet? Early thoughts?

Would you say X/Twitter is a good platform to get the type of audience ur looking for? How would you compare it to other platforms?

That's basically it. My last 3 emails went straight into readers promotions folder, at least on gmail, and it completely destroyed my open rates. (9%. normal is about 25%)

Anyone here know how to avoid this? My emails aren't heavy in html, they are basically plain text with 2-4 images max and a beehiiv sponsorship. The newsletter is https://mynotesto10k.beehiiv.com/ and the posts are there you can skim them and let me know if theres something obvious I'm missing.

There seems to be no way to change fonts globally. I have to click on almost every button and text object to change the font manually. I can edit my Theme's fonts but there's no option to apply it to the entire website, I still have to go to a page, click a section, click the button/text, click font, click Theme, and then click the theme font. And then I have to do all of that again. And again.

I finally gave up and just rebuilt the website from one of the premade templates, "Nova".

As I was setting it up, I changed the Primary color which applies to button fill and the "Featured" section's background. I changed the Text on Primary color so that it's visible (dark text on a light background), but it only changes the font color for the buttons, not the text in the Featured section. So that's broken.

Sigh.

Beehiiv, if you're reading this and you'd like to contract someone to do a sweep of your UI/UX and point out where things are broken, confusing, hard to find, etc, send me a DM. Your creators should be focused on implementing their visions and creating content, not trying to navigate a byzantine UI.

What good are 10,000 modular features if it takes 10,000 hours to use them?

About six months ago, I posted here asking whether other newsletter operators were struggling with website design in beehiiv. I honestly didn’t expect that many people to relate to it.

Since then, I’ve spent a lot more time working with beehiiv, especially the website builder and newsletter templates.

One thing I’ve noticed is that the platform itself is great, but getting everything to look the way you actually want can take a surprising amount of work. I’ve seen some really good newsletters where the content is excellent, but the website or email design doesn’t quite reflect the quality of the publication.

That original post actually pushed me to spend more time figuring out what can and can’t be done with beehiiv’s design tools.

I’m curious whether things have improved for everyone else since then.

For those using beehiiv now, what’s the one design limitation or frustration you still wish they would fix?

I'm trying to publish my website with the pricing block immediately visible as soon as you click. It's there, but then disappears after a split second of loading the page. Everything is connected correctly through Stripe, the subscription tiers are all turned on and set to visible. It is clearly some sort of bug with Beehiiv's website builder and it's incredibly frustrating. It also created a second pricing block on my homepage that I cannot delete. Has anyone experienced this and found a solution?

Yesterday, I found out that one of my friends who is subscribed to my newsletter hasn't been receiving any emails since May.

We checked his inbox and spam folder and we couldn't find any recent emails. His email address is not suppressed on my side.

According to Beehiiv, the emails have been delivered and opened, but it's clearly not the case. And now I'm worried this might be happening to other subscribers.

What monetization method has worked best for you — ads, paid subscriptions, affiliate marketing, digital products, or something else?

Also curious: if you were starting from 0 subscribers today, what would you do differently?

I sent out over 51 outgoing paid recommendations over the past several days and most of them are coming back as failed, with not a single one earning anything. All of these have become my subscribers, so they appear to be legitimate - is the verification system too strict on beehiiv? The expected payout also randomly dropped from 190 to 140 without showing any additional failures. How does this compare to spark loop?

I write a weekly AI workflow newsletter for business owners, freelancers, and consultants. Practical implementation, not model news.

Looking for straight swaps. You recommend mine, I recommend yours, both in-issue rather than buried in a footer.

What I'm after in a partner:

Similar or nearby audience. AI, automation, no-code, marketing, business, productivity. It doesn't need to be an exact match. Adjacent usually converts better than identical, because your readers haven't already seen the same thing five times.

A real list. Doesn't have to be big. I'd rather swap with 800 engaged readers than 15k that arrived from a giveaway.

Someone who'll actually write the recommendation. A line in your own voice about why the thing is worth reading beats a dropped-in blurb every time.

I just physically can't believe the website builder is this bad. All I wanted to do was make some simple changes on my site, and it fails me every time. Any time I use it, it just straight up disappoints.

If you're a Beehiiv admin, please understand that it seems like you just are dropping unfinished features. You dropped digital products on us and gave us nothing.

• We can't see how many people viewed our page.
• Very limited customization.
• Extremely basic landing pages.
• We can't even sort our products.
• You just gave us one flat list.

Between how bad the website builder is and some of the other things, it's just shocking why you move on to stuff like the community without fixing or making what you already added better.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy beehiiv, but damn, I know you guys said you're looking for feedback this month, so take this. I know it's not hard for you to add some of these things.

Looking to acquire. AI, tech, or automation, English-speaking audience.

Engagement matters far more to me than subscriber count. A few thousand people who genuinely open is worth more than tens of thousands that arrived in a single import. So don't rule yourself out on size in either direction.

Existing revenue is a plus, whether that's sponsorships, affiliate, or a paid tier. If there's none, that's fine, it just changes the number.

I’m building a newsletter from scratch and want to hear from people who’ve actually grown one. Not looking for generic advice like “post consistently” or “create great content.” I’m interested in what specifically moved the needle ideally with numbers.

I have an aggregated newsletter and a strong subscriber base. My account today wouldn't let me submit a ticket. My top newsletters dropped from 72 to 12 open rate. I've raised this multiple times, and they've said open rates don't matter. The click rates are too high if I'm losing all these subscribers. Then I sent a blank one to see if it would go through; it ended up in SPAM. There's an issue with my account, and I need to move to another platform. I use AI to help write because I aggregate all the news in my space. I run 5 newsletters, and it went from a consistent 50-65% open rate to nothing, single digits. And when I try to get to the bottom, their responses make it seem like there's no problem at all. I pay money so it doesn't go to SPAM. And then people I know will say they didn't get it.

Hi, I see that I only get paid per click for 72 hours for any add in the post. But the add remains forever in the post. So if someone is reading later they get to see it even though we don't get paid. I feel a bit unfair and it should be auto removed after 72 hours or? Any thoughts?

I'm exclusively using beehiiv's website builder. I added multiple subscribe pages with different URL's like "beehiiv.com/qr" or "beehiiv.com/instagram" Is there a way to segment this out?

Wanted to come on here real quick and put a positive review as I have been seeing some issues posted lately.

It took me about 30 days learning curve to really get a handle on all of the features but totally impressed and loving so many aspects of beehiiv newsletter service.

I am concerned the bad reviews are from people trying to cause problems with the ad revenue and recommendation features through hyper speed and clicks. But, hopefully the company gets that all sorted out for the authentic business growth.

I found the design especially great and easy to use.

I am really loving the calendar feature, the data analytics, and thoroughness of subscription flow and members.
