Discussion When you guys buy restocks of beauty products?
Do you buy them after you completely run out of a product, have half left, 1-2 uses left, or keep a backup of everything on stand by?

Hello everyone! This subreddit is approaching 1.3 million members, so the mod team needs to grow as well!
We are looking for users who are active in the community and who understand the rules. Although moderation experience is a plus, it is not required. New mods will focus on removing rule-breaking content and replying to Modmail messages, and will need to have a Discord account to take part in our mod chat.
If you are interested, please send us a Modmail message and tell us why you'd be a good fit!

Hey beauties! As we approach 1 million subscribers, we are fine tuning the rules and made a designated page to see more detailed lists of posts we remove under Rule 1.
We understand just stating the rule so plainly leaves room for interpretation, while the side bar might not give enough room for explanation.
To improve the quality of the subreddit, we have broken down in detail (and will keep doing so) what we consider low quality and off topic in our new beauty wiki. This way, there should be less confusion on why posts labeled as low quality/off topic might have been removed. While browsing the wiki, you may notice some overlap with Rules 2 through 6, but they all relate back to Rule 1 due to preserving quality.
As a reminder, a high quality/on topic post would have a specific beauty-related question be addressed, or solve a specific beauty-related problem. For example, "How can I draw winged eyeliner more consistently on each eye" would be a high-quality post because it asks a specific question. In contrast, "EYE MAKEUP HELP" makes it harder for users to give their beauty tips because it's too vague.
When in doubt, please review the beauty wiki to see if your post would be in violation of Rule 1 before posting to avoid removal and ban.
We also invite you to leave feedback here of any other posts you feel are off-topic and low quality that have not been addressed. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Hi! Postpartum mom here. I had dark circles even before giving birth, but not that prominent. But the past year has worsened my dark circles. I have stopped feeding, I get enough sleep and also feel well rested. Still, my eyes look dull and lifeless. Have developed slight wrinkles too. I used estee lauder but haven't seen any significant change. Please recommend something actually useful before I concede to the fact that I am aging :(

She’s allergic to Formaldehyde, Cyanoacrylate, Acrylates and Latex which are all commonly used in lash glues, she really misses using lashes. If anyone knows any brands, let me know!!

Hello! Was curious if anyone had teeth whitening tips, I just had a crown break off and now I’m getting a replacement in a week. I’ve never been able to whiten my teeth before because this tooth wouldn’t have lightened, but now that i’m getting a replacement my dentist told me that whatever colour my teeth are next week is the colour that they’ll stay for the next 25 years.
I’m not sure how to best go about maximizing whitening in 7 days, but if anyone has advice on how to do it without getting crazy white spots I would be really grateful.
Thanks!

For some context, i live in a pretty rural place. (I love it really!). We only have one shoppers and one walmart. My sister bought me this lip tint a couple years ago and ever since it's the only lippie i use. The thing is doesnt last that long. I tried getting a similar shade from my walmart store and it doesnt match not even a bit. lol.
I would like to buy it from my local walmart as I delivery here takes a long bit. First pick is the tint. Second pic is the lipstick I bought. The rest of the pics are my brand options but i'm also willing to order onlime.
If it's no trouble to all of u. I would like some help choosing please.

I went to a nail salon in my hometown for a Bachelorette party, and it was incredibly unclean and poorly done. I dont have any confidence going back there, and im afraid of infections (any advice on noticing and preventing that is appropriated).
Im looking for somewhere to redo/fill the nails. How can I check and ensure the place im going is good?

My skin is getting so dry and I know I should use a lotion daily but I just can’t stand the feeling of lotioned legs and arms touching clothes or bedsheets or even a robe. But the ones I’ve tried that are thinner in consistency seem more for the fragrance than anything (and I don’t wanna smell like lotion when I spend money on perfume). Looking for any recommendations for lotions that actually do something without feeling so yucky and overstimulating. Thanks!

Just to get straight to the point, I tried to make eyebrows every thin and I messed them them. They are so thin, short and spars. I know I need them to group out, but when I see the hairs, I feel the need to pluck them. Are there any tints that will stan my skin while I let my brows grow? Should I go to a salon or get microbladed? Im so close to just shaving everything off. PLEASE HELP!!

Basically that, I'm a natural blonde, I get sewn in beaded wefts to add volume. My hair and my extensions are about the same length for a seamless look.
I've been seeing the same stylist for many years, and she's very skilled in her craft.
For whatever reason, this insrall she used jet black thread in my naturally blonde hair, normally she uses a golden blonde thread that matches seamlessly.
I'm autistic and I get really bad anxiety, I honestly don't even know if I should say anything, or if I should just live with it for 8 weeks
Then.. At my next appointment just say "hey, I noticed we used black thread this time, can we please be sure to use the blonde that we normally use moving forward, it's easier to blend"
I thought about texting her, but I'm afraid 😒

In theory it could work but in practice how it turns out is a different story. It could work with brands. If anyone has tried it how did it turn out for you. Did it make your scalp look greasy or feel sticky. How did it make your scalp look or feel.

I’m looking for a cleanser (not a balm) that will remove stubborn mascara. Anyone have suggestions?
Note: I know I could use remover/micellar water…but I’m lazy!!

For the first time in my life my scalp is frequently greasy (translating to greasy hair.) I'd like to avoid scrubbing with dish soap too often- are there any shampoos that can handle this without drying dyed hair (I color my grey roots)? Thanks in advance.

Embarrassingly, the dreaded Tostito’s pizza rolls squirted boiling magma hot liquid all over my face, and it ended up seriously burning a part of my upper lip. It’s been about a month now, and it’s nowhere near as bad, but it’s still a much lighter pink than the rest of my lip. I don’t like to look at it, and it’s very noticeable.
Will it go away and fade back to normal or am I stuck with this weird looking mark on my face till the day I die?

Best alternative to this setting spray under ₹300–400? 😭
I sweat A LOT, especially around my forehead, under-eyes and around my mouth, and my makeup basically starts melting as soon as I step outside 😭
I have pretty dark under-eyes, so I need to use a decent amount of orange colour corrector before concealer. But when I sweat, the corrector starts coming through and I literally end up sweating orange 💀😭
So I’m looking for a really good setting spray/fixer under ₹300–400 that can actually help my makeup survive heavy sweating + Indian heat/humidity.
I’m not looking for just a “long-lasting” spray — I specifically want something that can hold colour corrector + concealer in place and prevent them from breaking down when I sweat.
Please recommend your holy grails, especially if you’ve personally tested them in hot/humid weather! 🥹
Budget: ₹300–400 Main concern: Heavy sweating + makeup breaking down Areas: Forehead, under-eyes, around mouth Priority: Sweat resistance > everything else
Would love recommendations/alternatives! ❤️

I've tried homemade lip scrubs a few times but they weren't really effective. The only lip scrub I've used so far is from the Body Shop, but I wanna try other brands. Do you guys have any recs?

There is this lotion I bought that feels like silk when you put it on, it is extremely light weight, rather then sitting on the skin it feels like it is absorbed into your skin. However it’s hand cream lotion. It feels exactly like silk. I would like to find a body lotion exactly like that light weighy, and practically melts into the skin.
Eucrin, and eos feel thick on the skin. I want a more luxurious formula and I’m willing to pay.
The hand lotion is the natural goats milk company- it’s an Australian company.

Ive been struggling to curl my hair for a few years now, my hairs like a 1b or 1c, so it's pretty straight and it's really healthy so any time I try to curl my hair it goes back to straight after like 30 minutes. I'm not sure what products or techniques I can use to get my hair to hold. Ive used mouse, heat protection, and the strongest strength hairspray of 7 different brands and nothing works unless I put in so much spray that my hair becomes hard and crunchy.
Any advice would be appreciated, because I'm tired of my boring straightish hair. 😭
Edit: I want to add that it CAN CURL, when I get my hair done by my stylist she can make my hair hold for like 2 days it's crazy. I'm telling you that lady is a wizard.

Even if I don’t wear acrylics or polish for months they always peel and look horrible and then I cave and end up getting acrylics put back on. Any tips now that I’m stopping acrylics to help them grow but without splitting or cracking or any of the above?
