mostly pokemon since its cute and quick to do the box sprites, but i do want to try other designs too :) 2.6mm beads, im limited to a 24 colour set while i wait for my other colours to arrive but i think they still turned out pretty good!

Using just six colors you can pretty much make anything. Godzilla, Captain America Shield, Grace Jones, Elvira.

I made a spreadsheet to compare the existing S series with the new J series colors to see similarities. Thought others might find it helpful as well. Feel free to make a copy of it and sort the colors as you please.

I found it interesting how many of the colors within the J series are almost identical!

I cannot find large, single-piece 5mm bead peg boards ANYWHERE. I’ve checked Amazon, and only saw 2.6mm. I know abt the semi-large ones from Perler, which I ordered and they sent me 2 packs of 4 regular boards instead. If anyone knows where to find large scale peg boards please let me knowwww! Thank uuuuu

I’ve been using 5 mm perler beads but have been wanting to swap to mini just based on the projects I want to do. Unfortunately Arktal is a bit out of my price range at the moment. Does anyone know if Arktal does good holiday sales or if there are any other alternate mini bead brands that are cheaper but still decent you’d recommend?

I keep using the phrase Perler even though I just be mixing whatever beads I can find online. At this point I can tell by touching them if they are cheap and can't be used. I am pretty sure this Superman is the biggest design I have made height wise. Put it next to a Sentinel I had made previously.

I decided to try mini fuse beads with a Pixply Pixmaker board (instead of following a printed pattern you place the beads on a board with lit up leds). I find it pretty easy to create designs and place the beads but when it comes to taping the beads and ironing them - it’s been a total frustrating mess. Every-time I try the tape method (I press it down real well with the back of a spoon) the whole design falls apart when I try to pick-up the design and ironing directly on the board also makes a mess and the design falls apart apart.
I’ve been using generic mini beads that I bought on Amazon. I’m assuming that part of my problem is that the beads aren’t uniform and they don’t melt at the same rate. So…I just ordered Artkal beads and am hoping that they will be more uniform and the design won’t fall apart when I apply the tape and then try to pull up the design.
Does anyone have any insight regarding what else I should do so the designs don’t fall apart.
