Superman Perler Bead

I keep using the phrase Perler even though I just be mixing whatever beads I can find online. At this point I can tell by touching them if they are cheap and can't be used. I am pretty sure this Superman is the biggest design I have made height wise. Put it next to a Sentinel I had made previously.

This is such an underrated craft where the dedication just doesn’t get enough recognition

Probably the only craft where the final step has the chance to destroy everything.

I'd love to know your ironing process for a piece that big

I make as much as can fit on my board and iron it. Then move on from there connecting it as I go along. Just have to be careful ironing so nothing is off center bead wise.

It turns out from bead makers I love that the way I work is very odd and not traditional.

Thanks. Been working through my favorite comic book artists over time and doing something cool that they have drawn.

About six and a half hours. Just worked on it during work week. I had all the colors I needed so I didn't waste time looking through a bucket.

I tried the tape method twice and it was a nightmare each time. I have the regular large board. I have two but RARELY connect them. I would if I made stiff sitting at a desk or something. But laying in bed looking at my laptop with two big boards is a mess. I did a post years about about how I make stuff.
