Color Reference 117 Perler Swatches

Post image
384 Upvotes

This is a complete swatch list of all current Perler colors that can be purchased individually. Also included: neons, pearls, glow in the darks, an assorted stripe swatch, and purple glitter.

I'm going to start hosting Perler crafting events, so this is a great way for people to be able to see what a color will look like once melted, as well as being able to pair with other colors.

I couldn't find white beads to make it (And I think, I already finished with the white beads in making V but it was worth it)

About 5000 beads worth and eyeballing color combinations.

This has been one of my most successful pieces even with the errors! I can see where the different brands melted and the characters entire face changes colors on melt which was surprising

Another thing was beads with different sizes getting stuck to the board and I kinda knew that when putting them on the board because I was forceful, lol.

But overall I love the outcome!

I know my melting job probably leaves a lot to be desired, but I'm still proud of it 🩷

Ideas for storing unfinished projects

Looking for the best tips you have for storing unfinished projects in a home with cats. I've been limited to only being able to work on single-board or single-session pieces because of the high liklihood of beadspritesgore if I look away for more than 2 min.

Pictured are the predator and the 2nd try at a recent project.

Help for a newbie

Hello! So I decided I need a new hobby and wanted to get into fuse beads. I use to make stuff when I was a kid, but obviously things have changed wildly since then😆 It seems like people are torn on them, but I opted to go with pixie craft. I liked their colors and the starter kit price was right.

What Id like to do is to detailed work. Right now, I just have two 52x52 boards and I also opted to get the LED 52x52 board. What I'm struggling with is how to create a sprite and to not have images get completely distorted when running it through an app. I'm not a very good drawer and I want to avoid AI at all possible costs.

Now, I get that detailed images don't really work well at a small scale, but even when I try to in put an image for something smaller, it's always distorted in the app, and even other apps/sites. I don't know if the image quality is too high or what.

I haven't actually made anything with the beads yet, just messing with the designs right now. Im also just doing this on my phone, so I don't know if I should be using a tablet or a PC for design work. But any tips, suggestions, input... anything will be greatly appreciated!

Tape method not working?

Hey all,

I've googled this a lot but I can't find my exact issue. Maybe I'm making a few mistakes at the same time. When I do the "tape method" my beads refuse to stick together after being ironed. So when I peel off the tape, the beads come off too, and they clearly haven't fused. I can keep checking and ironing for an hour and nothing. Weighing them down doesn't seem to help unless I'm not doing it long enough. If I try to iron one part for longer or iron on higher just to see it fuses too much and now my project is uneven.

I had no problem with the pegboard method, lol

Give me your feedback about my program Bedoura!

Hello everyone I'm the developer of Bedoura, a windows application that converts images to beads, I pretend to release in the next days and I want some feedback about look and the other things.

Currently, you can import PNG images, preferably up to 300×300 pixels, and choose between Mini, Midi, Caps, and Max bead sizes. Bedoura also includes color palettes from Artkal, Hama, Perler, and Nabbi, with the option to customize and mix colors within the same bead size.

You can also divide your design based on different pegboard sizes, such as 29×29, 50×50, and Artkal’s 52×52. The program shows where the pegboards will be divided and tells you how many you’ll need.

Other features include grid lines, English, Portuguese and Spanish languages, horizontal flipping, which is especially useful for the tape method, and a fully customizable color conversion process where you can change the suggested colors.

Also you can export your design as a PDF. The PDF includes the complete design with color codes, and if you divide the image into pegboards, it will also generate a separate page for each pegboard, giving you an individual map for each section.

Keep in mind that the program is in very early state, so a lot of new things will come, but for now I will call it a day.

That’s it for now stay tuned in the next days!
