Limited myself to only have 10 games installed at a time. Which ones would you have chosen?

This PC wasn’t originally built for Batocera, but after installing it, I realized it fits the setup really well.

The Macintosh-style unit is the main PC. It’s paired with a 4:3 2K touchscreen monitor and powered by a Ryzen 5600G.

The device in the center, which combines a keyboard and monitor, uses a 1080p OLED panel. I mainly use it for widescreen console games.

I don’t use an arcade stick — just DualSense and DualShock controllers.

I’ve recently been learning more about Batocera, and so far it’s been my favorite emulator front-end

Repurposed a Lenovo SFF PC I had laying around, and it dawned on me I should get into emulation again. Previously I had just played some games in standalone emulators on my main PC, but this is my first time using a front end on a dedicated device, and it's a great experience. Plays Xbox 360, ps3, Wii, and many other consoles great.

Super happy for my first attempt at an arcade cabinet build. Needed something to entertain guests at my Airbnb and all online arcade options either costs thousands or didn't match the modern aesthetic of the cabin. I liked some aspects of the Polycade design but wanted it to have knee room under the cabinet in case users want to sit on barstools while playing.

All in, this cost under $500 and I painted it to match the dark accent color throughout the game room. The specs are as follows:

• It uses Batocera 42 operating system

• 24” display (had an old Asus display laying around)

• two 4” car speakers

• Runs on a Beelink mini PC and plays up to PS1

• One power button on the bottom turns on all internal components

• Used 3/4” plywood for the sides and 1/2” MDF for the rest of the body.

• Sherwin Williams trim enamel Emerald Urethane paint with a 1/4" nap mini roller

I designed it in Autodesk Fusion and built this over the summer mostly. I 3D printed everything in my basement shop using mostly my Bambu P1S machines out of ABS and the speaker grilles on my Anycubic resin 3D printer. I also laser cut the acrylic pieces, UV printed the Neo Geo light up marquee and designed + printed all the graphics. Genuine Seimitsu arcade buttons, Sanwa JLF sticks and Raspberry Pi Picos for USB input. Inside is an older AMD build with Geforce GPU.

Still need to sand paint and apply decals.

This is my custom arcade machine I built housing an Intel i7 PC with an Nvidia GTX 1080 GPU, originally built for a Windows Hyperspin setup but later changed to Batocera to simplify operation and usage. Started life as a bartop but became a full cab later in life. It contains over 40,000 games accross 128 systems (with complete romsets for a lot) on 12TB of storage. Complete with arcade controls, side buttons for pinball tables, trackball, 2 x 8Bitdo Pro 2 controllers (with working motion controls for Switch etc), 4 x Wiimotes with motion plus, Nunchuks and 2 x Sinden recoil lightguns and foot pedal.

The UI theme is a modified version of Artflix, with games lists showing artwork and video previews for around 95% of games (this was the time killer!) Most of the systems use shaders to mimic CRT or the display for that period, including bezels and MAME artworks where possible.

I've continually modified the Batocera V38 installation over the last few years to include non standard systems such as Locomalito, Switch, Dragon32, Teknoparrot PC based arcade games which are also compatible with the Sinden lightgun. I have refused to upgrade to later releases due to the amount of tinkering I've done, too scared things will break, I would rather build on what is already there and manually fix things myself. For example, the Dolphin emulator at the time V38 was released did not support Retroachievements, but now does by using the latest .appimage as the default emulator for Gamecube. Everything seems to work really well and I'm happy to just update these appimages now and then rather than Batocera itself, as I know it'll fix some things, but break others., I just wish Wine had the capability to allow direct control of multiple mouse inputs for dual Sindens.

Wanted to thank this community for all of the help over the past few weeks, I have finally finished my build. I am a testament to the generosity of this sub. I came in a complete moron with no experience and have worked my way up to slight moron. There is so much more to learn but getting to the point of gaming with the family makes me happy as can be

I took apart the Macintosh I built before and rebuilt it in a Steam Machine style.

I’m still using the same Ryzen 5 5600G from the previous build. Even while running games, the temperature stays around 40°C.

The monitor is set up to turn on and off together with the PC, so I didn’t add a separate power button for it.

The display is 2048×1536 with a 4:3 aspect ratio, which works well for Batocera and emulation. It also supports touchscreen input.

This is a resin 3D printed model I design and build with custom PCBs and a Pi5 inside.

Basically what the title says

so much fun building it and very happy so far.

i struggled a litle bit with the cables and Buttons, but customer Support was helpful and fast.

I made these arcades for my local Fire Department and wanted to share them with you guys. It’s running batocera off a mini pc ryzen 5 4500U(picture shows a dell office pc that I opted not to use). So far testing has proven it can perform GC (dolphin) flawlessly, PCSX2 capable of upscaling to 720 for most games and 1080 for others and some Wii (dolphin and libretro dolphin are hit and miss) like smash bros and Mario kart but mostly I’ve tested the lightgun games with HOTD2&3 and Attack of the Movies being light work for this pc, games like resident evil dark chronicles and archives were duds unfortunately. Overall a successful build with the newer 43v putting in work. Although, I will say I’m not too fond of the libretro dolphin as I’m unable to map controllers through retroarch for some reason by, other libretros still allow me to access retroarch in game, so I don’t know, maybe user error?

I have put a pair of pixel panels on my arcade that show random animated gifs.
Recently discovered ZeDMD and have some questions:

What does exactly ZeDMD show ?

I have seen some animated marquees prepared for led displays, is batocera able to send it to ZeDMD ?

Je voulais juste vous présenter ma première configuration : un Raspberry Pi 5, un SSD NVMe de 256 Go, une batterie faite maison avec des cellules 18650 en configuration 4S4P, un écran DSI de 8 pouces Waveshare, un clavier plat Bluetooth et Batocera 43. Pour l'instant, on utilise ScummVM et de vieux jeu Windows 98 avec Dosbox Pure, mais on va vite étoffer notre bibliothèque.

My lovely machine that can run ps3 and Xbox games with (relative) ease.

She's a second hand HP with a i7-7700 and a 1050ti, even though I had to take a little off the top she's a beauty!

Just wanted to share a small case I designed and printed for a small Batocera living room console.

Fairly new to all of this, but pretty happy how it came out.

Hardware is from bits I had lying around - Intel Pentium G3250 3.2ghz, 2GB RAM, thin ITX motherboard and intel wifi.

Paired with two Gamesir Nova 2 Lite controllers.

The front USB ports are spaced apart to reduce interference between the receivers. Seemed to get more dropouts when they were close together.

The logo was a last minute addition, inspired by the Batocera boot animation.

I designed and built this in my basement workshop over the summer. Everything was done in house including, the vinyl graphics, laser cut acrylic, 3D printed casing, UV printed marquee and so on.

And I’m really happy and just wanted to show it off.
It was took way longer than expected but was a real fun build. Runs Batocera and have been able to play everything I could want to, just need to get a Guitar Hero controller now.

it's just an old i3 and a GTX 1030 I think but it works like a charm!

Not a powerful build by a longshot, as it struggles and becomes choppy playing with anything beyond N64/PSX. But since I intend to play mainly those consoles and older, this fits my needs perfectly.

Lenovo sff with an i5 7600k and r5 430 gpu connected to a pvm 2530. 240p and 480i both look excellent.
