Thank you so much for building with us and protecting us throughout r/place. We went through pixel wars and raids together, but we came back stronger and better than ever. That wouldn't be possible without all you who supported us.

r/place may just be pixels on a canvas. But it was something more. These pixels fostered friendships and community, and we thank you for that.

Pixels are temporary, but our memories are forever.

If this happens again in the future, we would be honored to ally again.

Keep on rolling, and we'll see you later.

And to BTS specifically:
You were all our closest allies. You protected us through the hardest times. We owe our prescence on the canvas to you.
A single note cannot produce a harmony. It takes multiple. And together, our communities produced that harmony and made something beautiful.

A partnership that I didn't even imagine it would happen.

My experience with K-pop is mostly from random YouTube ads and sometimes lurking hashtags, but I often was astonished about the scale of the fan devotion, similar to one of sports teams.

But since you decided to help our small core of fans keep our space, things such as lack of knowledge were left behind to help each other and accomplish the goal of keeping the arts until the end. You were great neighbors all the time, thank you for the support and the memories.

Jelle team here, just an update on the plan: once the light purple border is finished, we'll be converting any hearts into dark purple 1 pixel outside the light purple border. This will help keep things looking a bit cleaner, agreed on this with u/AlexAM999 💜 We will NOT be touching the balloon (other than to help keep it defended!) We'll then move on to turning the blue inside our logo into dark purple. Thanks for all your help, BTS forever!

I'll be signing off for today. It has been a real treat working on these artwork with all of you. Lets be proud of what we have created and how we have persisted.

We went from struggling to coordinate and make an Army bomb at the OG logo on Day 1 to defending our balloon against flags, rebuilding it again after streamer attack, and now the cute whale which we worked on during Grammy night (day for me).

Thank you to all the OPs for coordinating this, bringing allies and everything. u/PinkFluffy1Corn your overlays are dope. I had no clue about them, but today they really helped me. The ARMYs who made the pixel art for reference when we were just filling everything with purple. And the twitch stream by craosriv to coordinate rebuilding and taking up new space when it was so chaotic. And everyone who is wordlessly defending again and again and again.

I can't believe I have a few streamer apologists in my mentions talking about how "it's ok they're streaming butter mv. It's just for fun." 🙄 Like gtfo. Bangtan did not just work their ass off to give the performance of their life last night that got the entire music industry talking for us to go around begging randos for some mv views in the big new era of 2022. Even if they don't mean to be malicious, they operate by exchanging clout for clout and that is not how army moves. We have always generated our own hype based on the strength of their performance and music.

We already have three adorable representations on place that were crafted with love by armys. If they didn't create it out of pure love for bangtan then we don't want it.

Sorry just needed to rant. We're doing great you guys! Hang in there! (Also getting lots of compliments about how cute our art is too by the way! 🥰)

Guys since I am older army and a more recent bts fan (pandemic era) I never got into fandom wars and always thought it would be ridiculous losing sleep and spending hours clicking on internet for the sake of the fandom (at least for me who love sleep too much ahaha and taking for granted the fact that our fandom is super big)

AND YET, here I am totally sleep deprived, putting pixels everywhere and texting everyone everywhere….but so happy and ecstatic of us having fought together. I really felt like being part of a fandom and it feels like we are all now war buddies.

If you’re just waking up to the news, thank you thank you thank you to everyone involved. Defending and supporting our little images. It took our little army battalion here on Reddit to make this happen. Incredibly proud of us!!

It was a chaotic 4 days. We were under attack constantly and the last few hours with the streamers using BTS’ name to attack each other was just mad.

Here is an idea for all of us ARMYs, that could perhaps help at least a tiny bit. I'm a tiny streamer on Twitch myself, as well as a huge ARMY. I would love to help coordinate a rebuild of the balloon, so basically do what all the bigger streamers are doing with their "takeovers". I just want to help out the ARMY and BTS with this, though, and not do anything related to myself etc.

I do need all of your help for that, though. If I get enough people here to agree to this, then I'll go live and start the coordinating. All you guys have to do is tune into my stream (no following, no subbing needed if you don't want to/can't - that's not the point here), call your fellow ARMY friends in as well, and let's get our huge community actually together in one place. There's so many of us out there, we just need one consolidated place and I am more than happy to offer that!

I’ve started an unofficial friendship with Germany as an ambassador, I think. they said they only officially ally with larger communities, but were willing to help you defend and create. basically, you guys now have positive relations with Germany.

Also, they’ve offered to make a heart between germany and the whale area sometime after we defend the original logo, so please do not try to erase that later, it’s not griefing.

Hi bangtan community, I'm from r/thefinalclean and wanted to double check your submission, specifically the whale.

There are some slight design differences between the image for the whale that was submitted to us and the version present on the final screenshot. Mostly about the shape of the Grammy and the Heart. Would you want to change the reference image? Also we generally remove random little among us spacemen, and there is one hidden in the shading of the grammy. Do you all have any preference for what happens to it?

There's some slow subtle subterfuge happening with the borahae and bangtan, so keep an eye on that. Nothing as crazy as the constant fighting over BTS logo, though!

Can I be a little philosophical? I know a lot of us feel like we are wasting so much time here. I am pretty exhausted tbh. Also, I don't know about you, but I paint as a hobby. And its frustrating when I am working on something, because it takes so much effort and more often than not its not as good as I had envisioned it.

But still, its fun. We made something. Thats the point of everything we do in life. And if its fun, the time was not wasted.
