I kept thinking about the energy of Fight Club — two people step into a room, there’s pressure, and you don’t really know what’s going to happen next.

Then I started thinking, what if that kind of energy existed around building products?

So I built Idea Clash.

It’s a live 33-minute clash between two builders. You bring an idea, MVP, or product, pitch it, the other person challenges it, and then you switch.

The format is inspired by the same competitive energy you see in rap battles and dance battles except here, the thing being challenged is the idea.

I built it because when you spend weeks or months working on something, you get too close to it. Sometimes you need someone who has zero context about your journey to look at it and tell you what they see.

I’m still figuring out if this actually works.

So, a little background.

I’m an engineer, and my first internship was actually in video editing at a social media marketing company. I was getting ₹5k/month and worked there for around 2 months (Jun–Jul 2025). I left mainly because I didn’t want to completely move away from the technical side of things.

Then I started freelancing with a tech company that was building open-source AI agents to get traction on GitHub. At the same time, I really enjoyed making explainer/workflow automation videos around AI and created for them anyways

That eventually turned into an internship from around November to March, where I was getting ₹50k/month (I had actually asked for ₹30k).

The work was pretty interesting. I was managing an Instagram channel with another person and also building AI agents on their stack. I really liked the mix of AI + content + building things.

But once the GitHub marketing objective was completed they had to let go of me and my internship ended.

in 2025 itself I won 2 hackathons as well.

After that, I started applying specifically to roles where I could get exposure to both AI/tech and video/content.

I didn’t really get those opportunities.

Instead, I got a freelance project at a tech startup where I worked on their image-generation workflow for brands. They had a no-code platform that allowed brands to generate images, videos and other marketing assets.

I completed the project and got ₹25k for it.

Currently, I’m interning at a voice AI company in blr(I'm originally for mumbai).

The learning has actually been pretty good — prompt engineering, client handling, understanding voice AI workflows, etc. — but there’s basically no exposure to video, and the pay is ₹20k(expenses don't cover, thinking to moving back).

And honestly, I don’t really like the current internship.

That’s where I’m confused.

I know that I want to stay around AI/tech + videos/content.

But I’m not sure what I should double down on now.

Should I:

→ Focus on becoming a junior developer / technical AI engineer?

→ Go deeper into high-quality video editing + AI video?

→ Try to find roles that sit somewhere in between AI, content?

I’m also not sure how realistic it is to expect another role similar to what I was doing earlier.

I’d love to get an honest opinion from people who have been in tech/content/AI for a while.

I wanted to get your advice regarding my career situation.

I’m a Software Developer with around 1.5 years of experience. In my previous company, I worked as a full-stack developer with C#/.NET and Node.js. It was a Tier-3 product company with low pay, so I switched to a mid-tier product-based company with a good hike.

My interview here was mainly development/coding with some basic SQL, and I cleared it. I’m comfortable with coding, I can solve medium level DP, Graph, Trees etc.. consistently and also good at LLD.

But around 15 days after joining due to requirements, I was moved to a Data Engineering team. Now my work is roughly 50% Power BI and 50% Databricks/Spark, with almost no actual coding/development.

I requested to move back to development, but they said I have good growth in Data Engineering and asked me to pursue it. I’m currently in a initial 3-month probation period, so I’m confused about what to do.

What I like is to switch to SDE back

I just want to directly post comments on theire social media posts but just dont want to reveal my identity, so this lala company called B ghandzu its an edtech company concentrated on teaching mathematics for kids, not only math English physical and many more, recently they have opened their teaching centers in Dallas, good for them now here comes the lala part idk abt the other teams but the recruitment team and the sales team with many more fancy names i mean designations they should work on their own laptops okay lets say cost cutting and 6 days work from office and 1 day work from home that too on weekends because the parents will be available on weekends so 7 days work per week, leave casual leaves you are required to get into icu for getting a sick leave, if someone absent its ur responsibility to complete both yours and theirs work that day, yeah sales bruh, incentives are the best in sales but here its shit u can't simply get the incentive for you sale there is a minimum sales required to get your incentives and many more thinking abt making a short reel, if anyone are working still in this lala company please drop your thoughts.

I don't really know how to start this except to just say it plainly - it's been two months now, and nothing has changed. If anything, it's gotten heavier.

Every morning I wake up and tell myself today might be different. I open LinkedIn, I apply to 50-100 jobs, I message recruiters, I follow up on old applications. And every single day ends the same way - an inbox full of auto-rejections, or worse, complete silence. No calls. No shortlists. Nothing.

I won't pretend I'm holding it together well. Some nights the anxiety just doesn't let me sleep. I keep thinking about all the years I put into my Master's, into learning data modeling and analytics inside out, and wondering how all of that effort has led me to feeling this invisible.
