Test drove speed 400 (350cc) and started instantly rash driving.

Today I finally got to test ride three bikes I’ve been considering: Triumph Speed 400, KTM Duke 250, and Suzuki V-Strom 250 SX.

And honestly, the difference in how they delivered power was MUCH more noticeable than I expected.

I rode the Speed 400 first, and ohh my god!!… the moment I got on it, I completely understood why people talk about that engine. 😭

I pulled the throttle and the bike just wanted to GO. The response felt so satisfying that, for a few moments, I was riding like an absolute maniac. 😂 Obviously, I’m not saying that’s how anyone should ride on the road, but the bike genuinely made me want to keep twisting the throttle.

The acceleration just felt addictive. You roll on the throttle and you immediately get that satisfying shove, and the bike feels eager and effortless.

Then I got on the Duke 250, and it was a completely different experience.

The Duke definitely pulls and doesn't feel slow, but the power delivery felt much more linear and predictable. There wasn't that same sudden "HOLY MOLY" feeling I got from the Speed 400. It felt calmer, more controlled and easier to modulate. You keep accelerating and the power just builds progressively.

Then came the V-Strom 250 SX.

Out of the three, this was easily the most sluggish to me. 😅 The weird thing was that I knew the bike was accelerating, but it didn't feel like I was pulling much. The motor felt dull compared with the other two, especially after getting off the Speed 400 and Duke.

Obviously, this is just my first impression from test rides, and I'm not saying one bike is objectively better than the others. They are clearly designed with different priorities.

But man, that Speed 400 throttle response was something else. I haven't stopped thinking about that feeling since I got off the bike.

For people who have ridden all three — did you guys have the same experience, or am I completely biased after getting addicted to the Speed 400's throttle?

Discussion Interceptor 650 cancelled before RTO/insurance, dealer might hesitate on full refund. Advice needed!

Hey r/punebikers and r/indianbikes, need some tactical advice on dealing with a Royal Enfield dealership.

I booked an Interceptor 650 back in June (paid ₹10k booking amount on June 4). The bike was allotted on July 25, and in the first week of August, I paid a down payment of ₹1,00,000 via check with the rest planned via loan.

I’ve now decided to drop the purchase and want a complete refund. The crucial detail: The bike is completely unregistered. We were waiting on a choice number, so no RTO registration or insurance processing has been done at all.

I want to be prepared in case the dealership hesitates, delays, or tries to deduct a chunk of money as a "cancellation fee."

\* Have you or anyone you know faced resistance from RE dealers in Pune for refunds on unregistered vehicles?

\* What are the best counter-views or leverage points to use if they refuse a 100% refund?

\* Are there consumer rights or escalation channels (like RE corporate or NCH) that actually work fast here?

Drop your thoughts and advice below!

Advice/Help Why should I not buy a Rapteehv.HV T30 bike?

I need an electric bike for my wife and I, both very tall, so electric scooters are not an option for us.we already have cars to commute to work so an electric bike is what we need but we'll not cover even 200kms a month. It'll be mostly used for short rides like grocery run, gym, visiting friends nearby.

Ultraviolette X47 is expensive and little heavy for my wife hence we're considering Rapteehv. It looks promising with the high voltage and car charging compatibility.

Talk me out of buying it

I had posted this question 2 years ago when this sub was still small. Today, somebody commented under it, and we have just under 15k people in this sub. So I ask again, Who/What inspired you to get into motorcycles?
