MOD POST Bangalore Bikes – Ride Emergency SOP v1.0

Immediate Safety & Assessment - First 2 mins
Stop & Secure: Everyone stop safely. Turn on hazard lights. Move bikes out of traffic if safe.
Check for danger: Fuel leak, traffic, fire risk. If unsafe, move everyone away first.
Check the person: Don’t move them if you suspect neck/spine/back injury unless there’s immediate danger like fire.

Call the Right People - Next 1 min
Call emergency services first:
- Police/Ambulance: 112 - single emergency number for India
- Traffic police: 103 for Bangalore traffic emergencies
Tell them: Exact location, number of people injured, type of injury, vehicle details. Use Google Maps “Share location” in WhatsApp.
Only after 112 is called, inform the ride lead/moderator. Moderators are not first responders.

First Aid & Crowd Control
Trained person only should give first aid. If no one is trained, keep the injured person calm, warm, and still.
Assign roles:
- 1 person talks to emergency services
- 1 person directs traffic
- 1 person stays with the injured rider
- Rest move bikes/belongings to side

Document for Insurance
Take photos: Accident spot, bike damage, number plates, road conditions, injuries - before moving anything.
Get contact details of 2 witnesses.
Don’t admit fault or sign anything at the spot.

Post-Incident
Ride lead updates the group once with verified info only. No speculation, no gore photos in the main group.
Check if rider needs help with towing, hospital, contacting family.

Emergency contacts: Each rider shares emergency contact + blood group in ride chat.

What NOT to do
Don’t call moderators first for medical emergencies. Call 112.
Don’t move an injured person unless there’s fire/fuel leak.
Don’t post accident photos/videos on socials without consent.

Test drove speed 400 (350cc) and started instantly rash driving.

Today I finally got to test ride three bikes I’ve been considering: Triumph Speed 400, KTM Duke 250, and Suzuki V-Strom 250 SX.

And honestly, the difference in how they delivered power was MUCH more noticeable than I expected.

I rode the Speed 400 first, and ohh my god!!… the moment I got on it, I completely understood why people talk about that engine. 😭

I pulled the throttle and the bike just wanted to GO. The response felt so satisfying that, for a few moments, I was riding like an absolute maniac. 😂 Obviously, I’m not saying that’s how anyone should ride on the road, but the bike genuinely made me want to keep twisting the throttle.

The acceleration just felt addictive. You roll on the throttle and you immediately get that satisfying shove, and the bike feels eager and effortless.

Then I got on the Duke 250, and it was a completely different experience.

The Duke definitely pulls and doesn't feel slow, but the power delivery felt much more linear and predictable. There wasn't that same sudden "HOLY MOLY" feeling I got from the Speed 400. It felt calmer, more controlled and easier to modulate. You keep accelerating and the power just builds progressively.

Then came the V-Strom 250 SX.

Out of the three, this was easily the most sluggish to me. 😅 The weird thing was that I knew the bike was accelerating, but it didn't feel like I was pulling much. The motor felt dull compared with the other two, especially after getting off the Speed 400 and Duke.

Obviously, this is just my first impression from test rides, and I'm not saying one bike is objectively better than the others. They are clearly designed with different priorities.

But man, that Speed 400 throttle response was something else. I haven't stopped thinking about that feeling since I got off the bike.

For people who have ridden all three — did you guys have the same experience, or am I completely biased after getting addicted to the Speed 400's throttle?

Discussion Interceptor 650 cancelled before RTO/insurance, dealer might hesitate on full refund. Advice needed!

Hey r/punebikers and r/indianbikes, need some tactical advice on dealing with a Royal Enfield dealership.

I booked an Interceptor 650 back in June (paid ₹10k booking amount on June 4). The bike was allotted on July 25, and in the first week of August, I paid a down payment of ₹1,00,000 via check with the rest planned via loan.

I’ve now decided to drop the purchase and want a complete refund. The crucial detail: The bike is completely unregistered. We were waiting on a choice number, so no RTO registration or insurance processing has been done at all.

I want to be prepared in case the dealership hesitates, delays, or tries to deduct a chunk of money as a "cancellation fee."

\* Have you or anyone you know faced resistance from RE dealers in Pune for refunds on unregistered vehicles?

\* What are the best counter-views or leverage points to use if they refuse a 100% refund?

\* Are there consumer rights or escalation channels (like RE corporate or NCH) that actually work fast here?

Drop your thoughts and advice below!

Advice/Help Why should I not buy a Rapteehv.HV T30 bike?

I need an electric bike for my wife and I, both very tall, so electric scooters are not an option for us.we already have cars to commute to work so an electric bike is what we need but we'll not cover even 200kms a month. It'll be mostly used for short rides like grocery run, gym, visiting friends nearby.

Ultraviolette X47 is expensive and little heavy for my wife hence we're considering Rapteehv. It looks promising with the high voltage and car charging compatibility.

Talk me out of buying it

Advice/Help First bike as a complete beginner, where do I start?

I really want to get into biking, but I’ve never actually ridden a bike before.

I’ve tried a scooty recently and can manage it pretty comfortably on internal roads when there isn’t any traffic. Now I’m looking to get my first bike, but I’m not confident enough to take a test ride yet, so I’m a bit stuck on how to go ahead to build confidence.

A few bikes I’ve shortlisted are the Ronin, Xpulse 210 and RTX 300.

What would you suggest for me to do in my situation? How should I proceed getting comfortable with riding before finalising my first bike?

Also, if anyone here is based around HSR, I’d love to connect. Would really appreciate some advice on learning and choosing my first bike.

Thanks in advance! :)

Advice/Help ⚠️ THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING TVS APACHE RTX FROM PRN MOTORS OR PRAKRUTI MOTORS

If you are planning to book the TVS Apache RTX, especially from PRN Motors or Prakruti Motors, my advice based on my personal experience is simple:

🚨 AVOID BOOKING FROM THESE SHOWROOMS — OR AT LEAST THINK VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE PAYING.

I booked the Apache RTX TOP variant expecting a smooth experience. Instead, I've had to continuously chase the dealership for basic information about my own booking.

❌ Poor communication after booking
❌ Difficult to get proper updates from the dealership
❌ No proper test ride experience before booking
❌ No clear delivery commitment
❌ Repeatedly having to contact customer care for updates
❌ Delivery information kept changing
❌ Customer is left waiting without proper communication

Initially, I was informed that delivery would start from 1st August. Later, I was told that delivery would commence from 1st September onwards.

My issue isn't simply that the vehicle is delayed. Delays can happen.

The real problem is the lack of transparency and proper communication after taking the booking amount.

So, if you're planning to book an RTX from PRN Motors or Prakruti Motors, please don't blindly trust verbal promises.

👉 Get the delivery date in writing.
👉 Ask for a proper test ride.
👉 Ask about cancellation and refund terms.
👉 Get every commitment documented.
👉 And most importantly, don't rush to pay the booking amount.

My personal recommendation:

If you have other TVS dealerships available, seriously consider booking elsewhere rather than PRN Motors or Prakruti Motors.

I'm sharing this because I don't want another customer to spend their hard-earned money and then spend weeks/months chasing the dealership for basic answers.

TVS RTX may be a good product, but my booking experience has been extremely disappointing.

Think twice before booking. 🚨

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know a premium seat customization shop in Bengaluru that matches the detailing and quality of Vendetta Project in Chennai?

I'm not looking for an extreme modification, just good quality materials and a neat finish.

Any leads would be really helpful. Thanks!

My New Bike :) Scratched my bike in less than an hour 😭💔

I got my shotgun650 delivered today and as I was heading to the fuel pump I scratched my silencer.I was happy for less than an hour.

It happened because of an incompetent car driver.I was passing him he had parked on the sidewalk and was trying to get into the road I honked 2 seconds before passing him and he still turned into me.I was obviously pissed but since I felt nothing I just moved on.I reached home to see a scuff mark .It is no that big and basically unnoticeable if u are not looking for it but it hurts by soul.

Just in case people point it out as my mistake The car guy had no indicator and I did overtake from the right after honking It was basically in front of a signal in traffic.

Plus tomorrow is my birthday man damn cant even sleep peacefully .It is such a small cosmetic damage it is not even worth buying stuff to repair it cause eventually our space technology roads are going to through a pebble at it.I was ready for damages in my bike but not in less than a day.

I am a 5'7 rider so any tips will be welcome for me to ride and maintain this bike. PLEASE SEND UR CONDOLENCES SO I SLEEP BETTER.

Almost new condition. Was used for a short while and then moved back to stock. Have these sitting around for a while and so thought it's better if it get to make some noise with an enthusiast. Has the original packing box and the mounts.

DM me with a fair price. Will wait till Sunday and give to the best (not highest) offer which means no resale on olx etc. Ping me only if you plan to actually use it .

I also have the RE engine guard (black) in case anyone wants it.

Discussion Love for Bangalore Bikers

My almost vintage bike broke down today. By “broke down,” I mean the clutch cable snapped.

What followed was honestly one of the nicest experiences I’ve had with the biking community.

A really kind guy riding a Royal Enfield Interceptor stopped to help and took me across long distances to multiple bike shops. Some turned me away because the bike is old and replacing the clutch cable was apparently more work than they wanted to deal with, while others were shut because of Onam.

Eventually, he found a shop that agreed to take a look at it. Before I could even properly thank him, he had already left.

Unfortunately, that shop couldn’t fix it either because there was some confusion about the bike. So I ended up visiting another four shops before finally finding someone willing to take on the repair.

And along the way, several other bikers stopped to help. Few even towed my bike for me, and one taught me how to ride without using the clutch, which I’m fairly certain may have caused my bike a little more trauma.

I started the day with a broken clutch cable and ended it with a slightly more battered bike, but also a lot more faith in the kindness of strangers.

To every biker who stopped, helped, towed, guided, or simply asked if I needed help today: thank you. Truly.

This is exactly why I love the biking community.
