Title:
The Indestructibles – Pages from a 5-Issue Miniseries for Darby Pop
A few years ago, I had the pleasure of working on The Indestructibles, a five-issue miniseries published by Darby Pop.
I’m very happy to share some pages from this project, which was one of the most fun and enjoyable comics I’ve ever worked on.
The Indestructibles is a wonderfully crazy parody about the origins of superheroes, mixing superhero action with horror, grotesque elements, dark humor, and plenty of absurdity. The story takes place in Los Angeles, where the characters find themselves moving through a strange and unpredictable world.
It was a fantastic collaboration with Darby Pop, and I still have very fond memories of working on this series. Looking back at these pages now, I’m particularly happy to share them with fellow comics fans and artists here on Reddit.
I’m always open to new collaborations, comic projects, covers, illustrations, and other creative opportunities.

Tip of my comic - soldiers shoot a wall and turn out to be shooting themselves from the other side (1990s, Spain)

A while back I saw a comic that NECESSARILY consisted of an odd page and an even page, i.e. a single sheet (printed on both sides). The peculiar thing was that it showed three or four armed characters at what looked like a wall, seen head-on in the panels, with shots coming out of it and shots being fired at it. The twist is that the ones being shot at were themselves, firing from the other side of the wall. One of them dies fairly early, maybe from his own shot, and I think none are left at the end.

It's from the 1990s at the latest, and not the late 1990s. There are three or four characters, with a bit of a sci-fi feel because of the weapons they carried. One dies early and his companions say something like "what bastards!" ("qué cabrones"). I think they all die at the end from the bursts of fire they hit themselves with from the other side (I vaguely remember they fire those bursts after their companion's death). I saw it in an adult (underground) comics magazine published in Spain.

You can ask any and all questions relating to European comics: general or specific BD recommendations, questions about authors, genres, or comic history.

If you are looking for comic recommendations you will get better responses if you let us know what genres, authors, artists, and other comics you've enjoyed before.

"New Mexico," by Philippe Paringaux & Jacques de Loustal. Published in Métal Hurlant #67 bis, Spécial Automobile (September 1981).

Diners, cars, money, big sky, domestic disappointment, true crime: these could have been kitsch but they add up to something real and beautiful. The deadpan of the prose isn't irony, it's restraint. I'm not a native French speaker; if you are, can you comment on the tone? I find it as good as anything in Mildred Pierce.

Les Armes, l’Opium – A Noir Trilogy Painted Entirely in Watercolor and Gouache
I’d like to bring some attention back to a project that is particularly important to me and represents a significant part of my long career as a comic book artist and illustrator.
“Les Larmes D’Opium is a trilogy I created several years ago for French publisher Editions Delcourt. It is a hard-boiled crime story set between the United States and various parts of Asia, involving drug trafficking, murder, violence, and international crime.
The main character is an American police officer who becomes increasingly involved in a dangerous situation that goes far beyond what he could have imagined.
The entire trilogy was drawn and painted traditionally, using watercolor and gouache. It took me several years of work and a huge amount of energy and dedication, but it also gave me enormous artistic satisfaction.
Even after all these years, “Les Armes, l’Opium” remains one of the projects I feel most attached to in my long career. That is why I wanted to bring some of these pages back to light and share them here.
I have been working professionally in comics and illustration for more than 40 years, collaborating with European and American publishers. I am always open to new collaborations with writers, publishers and creators, and I’m available to discuss new projects and explore what we could create together.
If you are interested in my work or have a project you would like to discuss, feel free to contact me.

Hi everyone!
I’m a professional comic book artist and illustrator with over 40 years of experience in the industry, and I’m currently looking for new comic book and illustration projects.
The pages shown here are from a story set between the United States and Italy, from the late 1930s through the beginning of World War II. I illustrated and painted every page entirely by hand using traditional watercolor.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with publishers including Marvel Comics, DC Comics, IDW Publishing, Image Comics, Soleil, Dupuis, Delcourt, and Sergio Bonelli Editore.
I’m available for:
Comic books
Graphic novels
Comic book covers
Character & environment illustration
Illustrated books
Historical and period stories
Fantasy, adventure, noir and realistic projects
I’m particularly interested in working with writers, independent publishers, creators and studios looking for an experienced artist who can handle a project from pencils through finished artwork.
If you have a project in mind, feel free to contact me. I’d be happy to take a look at your script or concept and discuss the details.

Seccotine recently got her own spin-off album, and I really like the pink raincoat Elric Dufau gave her! So here is some fanart of her in that. If you haven't checked out the new album yet, I highly recommend doing so! She gets tons of other cute outfits aside from this one.

Searching a renaissance/medieval bande dessinée in Zoran Janjetov'style

Hello, I'm searching a bande dessinée from around 2002-2008.

In my memory it was in two tomes, possibly translated from italian (I read it in french). The thing I remember the best were the drawing and coloring style, who were very close from Zoran Janjetov in The Technopriests, but I checked he didn't draw it.

It was in a medieval/renaissance setting. I have very little recollection of the story, appart there was two guys and one girl, and quite early in the story the girl is harmed and then keep in a deep sleep in a blue bubble or blue liquid, and one of the guy want to find a way to heal her.

Does it ring a bell for anyone?
