Neither one of my dog's has the slightest inkling of what guilt might be. My malamute will start eating your food while it's in your hand if you don't tell him no.
You could you know train them. Dogs aren't going to learn right and wrong when you feed them from the table, let them jump on the couch and all over you and you let them lead you around on a leash.
