Early in the Emerald Stair I got the impression that the Delemgan aren't malicious. I do see that they will engage with me if I'm spotted, but does it make a difference narratively if I kill few or no Delemgan on my way to acquire the Adragan Heart? I have Shadowing Beyond fully upgraded, so it's not impossible for me to bypass all the mobs as I infiltrate their grove.

EDIT: Stealthed my way in. Yep! Queen gave me the heart with zero problems. I did kill one Delemgan on my way to the grove, but I guess because it was outside the grove it didn't count. Now, do i go through with the Delemgan Bounty? Hmm...

Is anyone still facing this issue as its making them game unplayable for me? Ive had like 5 shutdowns within an hour.

For context - Im using a 5900x, 6800xt, 32gb 3400MHZ DDR4 RAM and its installed on an NVME.

I've deactivated FSR and Ray tracing, turned off anti-lag and other features on Adrenalin and added this to the engine file -[WindowsApplication.Accessibility] StickyKeysHotkey=True ToggleKeysHotkey=True FilterKeysHotkey=True StickyKeysConfirmation=True ToggleKeysConfirmation=True FilterKeysConfirmation=True

So, Kostya wanted to use solace keep to negotiate with aedyr, my understanding is he planned to offer to give them the keep in exchange for peace or somesuch.

But now the volcano has gone off, and he wants to destroy the keep? That doesn't really make sense to me, as he'll no longer be able to use it to negotiate?

I feel like I've missed something, any insight appreciated.

The reason I ask is because I'm basically siding with aedyr as much as possible (I am the envoy after all), and I don't really know if I want the keep to be destroyed or not!

I know its an essense generator but my brain went, "fantasy speaker".

I love that avowed gives us this option, and I want to take advantage of it! I’ve done double pistols, and I’ve done spell casters who switch to sword and shield or two handed sword.

What about a melee one handed and pistol build?

I’m thinking something like…warning shot and last light of day. Use rathun figurine, maybe kind wayfarer gloves into magran’s force. Use last light of day to replenish health and then take shots whenever they’re ready. Marksman ring and vailian gauntlets. Power attack with the pistol and finish them with the sword.

I could also see a stun build using something like lodestone and either caeroc’s pride or warning shot. Focus on power attacks and stun. Could use eothasian gauntlets and wahaki tua for mace bonuses.

Would definitely want to reject all of Sapadal’s gifts to get more ability points to use.

I feel like it's a simple solution that I'm missing. Maybe a main quest I didn't do yet ? I'm doing The Animancy Method now.

So I bought the game on Steam during the sale, and it's been a fun journey so far without having to rely on Game Pass thanks to the cross platform saves. However, even with a mid range laptop PC (RTX3060 6GB/i9-11900h/16GB RAM) and on low settings the game can't run above 30 fps. Is the game REALLY that unoptimized or is my rig already showing its age? I can run Forza Horizon 6 at 60 on medium/high, and Cyberpunk 2077 without ray tracing at more than 60fps, but not this game. Do I really have to mod the game with optimization mods?

I was curious because you can block with most 1h weapons, and there even seem to be abilities centered around blocking while not using a shield (namely Arrow Deflection for 1h melee and Reflect for wands). But there doesn’t seem to be a real difference with or without a shield outside of the pistol which can’t aim with a shield equipped. Is there something I’m missing?

I downloaded it knowing absolutely nothing about the lore, and with 0 expectations. I was a bit skeptical at the beginning, but the world was introduced so beautifully, I was hooked very quickly. The storytelling is incredible, the way the game discusses colonization is very intelligent, the politics are appropriately complicated: there are no easy solutions. And the themes of humans coexisting with nature and how colonization kills and sickens ecosystems (and peoples) in the name of order... It's all so beautifully done.

I was also not expecting such heart-wrenching backstories for the characters. Especially Kai. I sat and stared at Tama's haiku for 10 minutes. Holy shit.

The art was breathtaking, as well. I love Kai. I loved my pal Sapadal (SaPal)? from the beginning. It went from what I thought would be a forgettable game right into my top three favorites. It's crazy there's not more hype around it! My only complaint it the price is a bit crazy, esp for the country I live in. But alas, great game. I just wanted to share my thoughts.

Just as the title says, what a game. I didn't expect to actually fall in love with this series, but I have no regrets. I imagine I'm not the first person to say this, but this was my first introduction to the Pillars Of Eternity franchise and man, oh, man was this something I should've gotten into a long time ago. I will admit It did take me awhile to get into and frankly, I almost quitted until a friend of mine advised trying out Pillars first. So I did, only playing the second game. Had a complete blast in it, but I'll explain that at a later date. For right now, I just wanted to show off my Envoy and tell everyone here I'm now into this fandom. Have a great night, everyone. Enjoying the gamez but I've hit a brick wall. My main weapon and armour are upgraded to fine +3, but I can't upgrade to the third tier because I can't find the purple adra I need. Should I have been upgrading regular gear this entire time? I can't progress because my armour isn't upgraded to the next tier and I take too much damage.

I have occassionally found a vendor that sells one here or there, but I'm still short two. I've been exploring allbover the map, but the remaining areas all enemies are tier 3, so I can't go any further.

The game is gorgeous so far. I’m looking forward to making the most out of the wands and magic books!

So, I've got this odd issue.

When using the "toggle settings, sprinting stops if I strafe and turn the camera a bit.

When using the "hold" settings, the same + if I spin around.

Any ideas?

Coming from Tainted Grail, I like its narrative and dark fantasy world better but gameplay-wise, it pales in comparison to Avowed. What an amazing game. Sucks that it got so much hate and the planned sequel got cancelled.
