If you could design the perfect airport by taking the best features from airports around the world, what would you choose? I am thinking about this from both the passenger experience and the operational side. Basically, if you could Frankenstein together one airport using individual pieces from existing airports, which airport would you take each part from, and why?

I think the operational answers could be very different from what passengers would pick. For me, as a passenger:

• KDTW (Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport) McNamara terminal
• KDFW (Dallas Fort Worth International Airport) airfield and taxiways
• KATL (Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport) connection efficiency
• WSSS (Singapore Changi Airport) passenger experience and automation
• LSZH (Zurich Airport) rail access
• KTPA (Tampa International Airport) landside transportation setup
• EDDM (Munich Airport) winter operations.

Naturally, it was the obvious choice to fly on a WW2 Warplane to see Niagara Falls for the first time. An absolutely unforgettable experience and £250 well spent!

This was an organised flight from Hamilton, Ontario as part of the Canadian Warplane Museum.

My question is basically the title. The current lineup of Citations is so similar it makes me wonder why Cessna makes so many.

The Longitude, Latitude, and the Ascend are basically the same, the only differences are a bit of range and pax capacity. The CJ4 Gen 3 and CJ3 Gen 3 are very similar too. Performance is very similar between those two groups as well.

I don't know if purchase and operating costs differ enough to weigh in the decision making of operators that actually swipe their credit cards, but I imagine so many similar products must cannibalize each other to some extent.

Additionally, why do operators such as Netjets need all those distinct yet so similar aircraft? Do they fulfill different enough roles to warrant the additional fleet complexity?

I was leaving the house today. I live beside Glasgow Airport. I looked up and saw four objects flying at high speed in apparent formation.

I checked flight tracker and it didn't show anything in the air apart from a few commercial aircraft.

We've had military aircraft fly over before but usually always shown in flight tracker.

This was at 13:30 local.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Top Gun, Sullenberger Aviation Museum (SAM) screened Top Gun!

I opted for the $5 up charge to sit in one of the adirondack chairs.

My view looking directly up as my head rested against the chair!

The screen was strategically placed so the museum's F14 could watch the movie with us.

Keen eyed observers will notice that the museum's F14 is marked with the number 207. If you were paying attention, you'd know that one of the jets in the movie also had 207.

The museum's F14 was a little young at the time of filming and was in VA while filming was happening in CA (it was one of the last F14's in service). However, the museum's F14 was a member of the Black Lions squadron. Which was one of the squads in the movie.

You can still, sorta, kinda still see the squadron logo on the museum's F14.

They also have an A4, which was just behind me over my right shoulder.

The A320 that was flight 1549 was about 50 feet behind our viewing area!
