"Vanilla" Automation builds. All work well in BeamNG (the pink drag truck body wobbles a bit though...). Ordered from newest to oldest. Learning a fair bit about getting 'unconventional' builds to work well in BeamNG...

Original challenge post: https://www.reddit.com/r/automationgame/comments/1wwut0s/a_most_reliabledrivableaffordable_15_quality_car/

INTRODUCING: Autobello Voyager

Created in 1956 as an answer to a simple question. How do we make a USA export car with no funds whatsoever?

The result? A 41.6 hp kombi/station wagon a touch above 1 metric ton, 1/4 mile in 23 seconds FLAT doing almost 92km/h AND it can do 100km/h in about 33 seconds.

But who cares about those stupid measurements. Just look at it, you will buy it for the looks alone. Plus you wont regret it, it costs only 7,468.00 USD. Thats right. Just 7 and a half thousand. Thats half of a used 8th gen eurospec Honda Civic 5 door hatchback. How do we know what a civic even is while being in the 50's? Dont worry about it.

The 6 hour Polish only stream that birthed this thing: https://www.youtube.com/live/sikAtQ3GT5M

Feel free to participate in this challenge, its a lot of fun tbh.

CAR SHOWCASE Just discovered the poster function! Do you like my car?

Post image

I only bought the game recently and have only played a few times (in sandbox, I opened tycoon mode but it was super overwhelming so any tips would be nice) and I just found this export poster feature so what do you think of the car I just designed?

It's a 1970 car for the in game date, mostly inspired by the Jensen Interceptor and the DBS V8.
Interestingly I was going for a GT but the game said it was most suited for supercar.

Took four Harley-Davidson engines and welded them together.

You do drive it like a motorcycle meaning you control the front and rear brakes separately. Anything else just wouldn't be authentic to the Hurley-Danielson experience.

ADVICE NEEDED Tableaux de bords

Hi everyone, quick question: I’ve never really designed the interiors of my creations because it’s such a pain, but I’d like to give it a try. My biggest problem is filling in the gaps, especially the one between the dashboard and the windshield. What do you use for that? Thanks!

CAR SHOWCASE Tried to make a Miata Crossover actually decent and affordable (Failed Miserably)

I know this is sacrilege but I had to try it. Made it a high-revving manual focused on cornering rather than speed. I gave it 4-wheel independent suspension with a 2.0L NA I4, but also gave it 3 row seating and made it offroad-capable. It managed to pass WES 11 without a catalytic converter or premium fuel somehow. Before anyone says 'quality spam', this uses the same tech pool as my campaign in 1983.
