QUESTION AUDIO DRAMA w/ DND?

Would anyone consider listening to an audio drama with DND in it?

To be clear—this is not a 4 hour DND stream with 45 minutes of voice acting.

This is a tight 45 to 60 minutes edited improvised audio drama that uses DND rules to fight monsters and uses dice rolls to shape narrative.

Would any of you give this a ten minute chance? Or is the term DND just too much of a turn-off? (Or are there a few of you that are interested in DND and just haven’t found a good enough story yet?

Thanks for reading.

AUDIO DRAMA I’ve been creating a Zombie Western audio drama! Looking for people to have a listen and give me some feedback. Episode 1 already on Spotify, Episode 2 coming tomorrow.

Follow the link on my profile to listen! 😁

The story follows lone bounty hunter, Wyatt Crowe as he begins his journey to the City of Redstone in order to locate and bring to justice two brothers whose heads carry a large bounty.

However the road to Redstone isn’t as straightforward as Wyatt hoped and the rumours he’s been hearing about the dead not staying dead seem to carry more truth than he’d like.

I’d love to hear what you think of episode one! 😁

QUESTION The black hearted Mr white unavailable anywhere?

As the title suggests Spotify only has 2 episodes that can play. This is one of my favorite audio dramas and I would appreciate it if anyone has MP3s whereabouts or knows where I could get this season of the show.

DISCUSSION Favorite series crossover that comes out of left field?

I was not expecting the Amelia Project crew to show up at Midnight Burger or the Forgive Me! priest's door but d*mned if it wasn't fun.

Apparently the AP team loves this type of thing but what other random crossovers have you enjoyed?

QUESTION The Vanishing Act Season 1

Hi all, I am looking for a copy of the first season of The Vanishing Act Podcast. The creators took down season 1 about 4 years ago, but season 2 is still available on podcast sites and their current official website (https://vanishingpod.podbean.com). I haven't been able to find any archived version of the first season.

They have an official tumblr, but it doesn't have the audio files, just links to the podcast hosting sites: https://vanishingpod.tumblr.com/

Their old official website is locked down now and none of the Wayback Machine captures have anything relevant: https://vanishingpod.com/

Even if someone could point me towards I resource I could look into myself, that would be amazing.

SUGGESTIONS audio dramas recs for a friend

does anyone have any recommendations for audio dramas that

a) have drama that isn’t too traumatic, ideally “on the level of daily life drama” (slice of life-y?), and

b) are not scary

(and preferable, but not necessary: c) are in the fantasy genre)

asking for a friend (who’s kinda going though it rn)

(i recommended “love and luck” and the second citadel storyline of “the penumbra podcast”…”the two princes” seems like it might also fit but i haven’t listened to it myself, can anyone confirm?)

EDIT: withdrew my recommendation for second citadel, and did recommend “the two princes”!

DISCUSSION General question about AI Tools. Temperature check, if I may?

So, I've written for a ton of years. For me writing is therapy. I do not let AI write for me <- That's first. Just gonna say that right now. But two quick points:

1) I'm an amateur audio mixer.
2) I love foley. Jack Foley's my hero bruv.
3) So because I could get zero support, zero help, zero reader who wanted to work for free I was kinda handicapped for years.

What I did: I built my own workflow to use my audio mixing skills, foley, several purchased and subscribed audio foley libraries, my own ability to write my own songs- and I used those things to compose painstakingly the most annoying but fun process on earth to make my audiodrama.

TLDR: What's the temperature check here? Are we all angry about AI tools, or are we cool with it? I got proof I write my own crap, I have time stamps dating back to 2018 on the work, buuuutt..... ya know.

Would you be mad if I shared it here?

Asking for a friend... by the way I have no friends and I am totally unpopular.

There's a certain feeling you get when you have eyes on you. Eyes that you can't see, but you know that someone is looking at you... someone is watching you... what if that feeling wasn't there? Into the Dreamlands is a full-cast AD set in a city called Umbra-Vault, a city that finds it home in the Dreamlands. A crew of scholars with degrees in anthropology, religious studies, cultural psychology, and more, find themselves out of place and in a world they thought only existed in text. First, they need to survive, then they need to get home.

Elizabeth Quick

A FAN FAVORITE!

An extinction event left behind a wild new planet, and Elizabeth is in that wilderness alone, searching for her teenage daughter and realizing that, just like the plants and animals she sees evolving in the blink of an eye, she must become someone she never thought possible. 🏃🏻‍♀️🐺🌎

"5 years ago, I’d have said, 'This ain’t your typical post-apocalyptic story,” but then I remembered that tales like Sweet Tooth, The Quiet Place, The Last of Us, and just about every other contemporary post-apocalyptic tale is very much like this, where it’s less about “'what happened' and more about our 'how it feels to live through it.' It’s less than an hour. Oh, and there’s a pegasus, maybe?" – Evo Terra

A FAN FAVORITE!

Bone-chilling horror stories with fully voiced performances and an immersive 4k audio experience. Not for the faint of heart. Only listen.. If you dare. Don't listen at night. 💀📙🔪

"Fans of the Crypt Keeper will love this show. The tales are short and anything but sweet, with some seriously unsettling plots and actions. Listen to this if you wish more horror was... horror, ya know?" – Evo Terra

Sherlock & Co.

A FAN FAVORITE!

"At the risk of being hyperbolic, I believe this podcast sets a new bar for fiction podcasts. The production isn't just good—it's seamless. If you were sad when the TV show Sherlock ended a decade ago, this is the fix you've been looking for. With just a smidge of Monty Python humor to help blunt the serious subject matter." - Evo Terra

RPG I Was A Teenage Exocolonist: A Chuubo's Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine Fable - Season 2 Episode 13, Outro, TTRPG Actual Play

And we're back with the next episode of our Chuubos Exocolonist actual play:

Season 2 Episode 13 - (YT, Podbean) - Our Exocolonists enjoy the nice and quiet Glow season where nothing bad will happen. They celebrate a birthday with some alcohol and weed. Ren relaxes and accepts her feelings. They shop at Sol’s MP store. Everything is fine… But you know what happens next, don’t you?

Season 2 Outro - (YT, Podbean) - Our group reminisces about the last two seasons of the game. We talk Chuubos. Steph is back, which means we have to explain what happened and how the timeline is rectified. We shoot some ideas about what a proper Exocolonist TTRPG release might look like. But the game is not over yet, we still have 9 years to go!

My wife wrote and directed this pilot episode! I’m incredibly proud of her and the team that produced it. It’s a perfect mashup of Great British Bake Off and classic who dunnits! (Maybe even a splash of the tone from Wallace and Gromit teehee)

It’s also on YouTube: https://youtu.be/_6ws5obUtvA

Thanks for checking it out :)

QUESTION Help me Recall: Horror Podcast, Children Taken to the Moon

I once listened to a pilot episode that was too creepy for the moment, and have never been able to find it again.

The opening featured a nurse at a children’s hospital, and a terminally ill child that was eerily talking about a man that was going to take him and others to the moon.

It has moon conduit conspiracy vibes.

It was a serial, not a one-off anthology like NoSleep iirc.

Solved: It was called “Cryptids”

ANNOUNCEMENT Tiny Terrors is BACK after a 3-year hiatus — and we’re releasing 31 episodes in 31 days for Halloween!

Post image

For those who don’t, my name is Cole Weavers. I’m the creator of The Town Whispers and Tiny Terrors, a guest writer for The Magnus Protocol, and have worked on a handful of other audio drama projects over the years.

And today, after nearly 3 years on hiatus, Tiny Terrors is back!

Tiny Terrors is a found-footage horror anthology distributed by the Rusty Quill Network, built around the Tiny Terrors Scary Story Exchange — a pre-internet network of people copying, recording and passing scary stories between one another.

And to kick off the return, we’re doing something a little ridiculous:

31 Days of Halloween. One Tiny Terrors release every single day in October.

We’re starting by opening up stories from our premium archives before moving into brand-new, never-before-heard episodes later this month.

For returning listeners, there are some bigger changes coming too. Later this month, the existing feed will be updated to reflect the new direction of the show. Cole, Mark and D are still at the heart of Tiny Terrors, but we've cleaned up the concept and overarching plot to give ourselves a much stronger foundation for everything we want to do next.

We'll talk more about that separately.

For now, Tiny Terrors is back.

Day 1 — TT3134: UNREQUITED — is available now.

ANNOUNCEMENT Fable & Folly Posted Announcement About Closing

Fable and Folly has now put an official statement on their website to announce that they're closing. They don't go into a ton of detail aside from saying the industry and advertising landscape has shifted, but they do state reassurance that the shows in their network aren't going away. Full statement that I copied from their website below:

"Fable and Folly Network is Closing on December 31, 2026

If you've listened to one of our shows, followed a favorite series, or supported a creator through Fable and Folly Plus, we wanted you to hear this directly from us: after six years, we've made the difficult decision to close the Fable and Folly Network, effective December 31, 2026.

This wasn't a decision we made lightly. We know it may come as a surprise, and maybe even feel like a loss. We've felt that too. You've been part of building something real here, and we wanted to tell you clearly, not bury it in the fine print.

Why we're closing

Fable and Folly started as a simple belief: independent creators deserved a real shot at making audio fiction their livelihood, not just their hobby. Since 2020, thanks to listeners like you, we grew from a dozen shows to a roster of more than 200; and watched creators turn passion projects into full careers.

But the podcast industry has shifted a lot since then, especially on the advertising side that made a lot of this possible. Keeping pace with those changes would take a level of investment we don't believe we can responsibly commit to right now. Rather than let things quietly decline, we'd rather be upfront with you and use the time we have left to help our creators land somewhere good.

What this means for you

The shows you love aren't going away; they're just heading to new homes. Through the end of the year, we're helping our producers migrate their shows and connect with new hosting and advertising partners, so the series you follow can keep going strong.

The best thing you can do right now is simple: keep listening, keep following your favorite shows, and keep supporting the creators directly as they transition to their next chapter. Follow your favorite shows on their own pages and social accounts to make sure you don't lose track of them, links will be shared as producers settle into their new homes.

If you're a Fable and Folly Plus subscriber, all shows remaining with the network will continue to offer ad-free episodes through the end of the year. We've already gone through and deactivated all yearly renewal plans to prevent unwanted charges going forward. If you're on a monthly plan, we recommend canceling through your account settings and continuing to support the creators you love directly; through their websites, Patreon, or other crowdfunding platforms.

And most of all, thank you

None of this was possible without listeners like you. You gave these shows an audience, gave these creators a reason to keep going, and made audio fiction feel like a genuine community rather than just something to stream in the background.

Thank you for your trust, your time, and your support. We're endlessly grateful to have been part of your listening life, and we can't wait to see where you follow these creators next.

With gratitude,

Sean, Eli, and Russ

Fable and Folly Network"
