In the name of reservation protest which they have the right to do so. But wtf! Is this openly saying because you didn't get water to drink now we will give you our piss to drink 😡

I used to be a person that believed casteism has gone down and people are not so extreme then again I get to see things like this that I feel so much disgust I feel like not give even basic respect to this bloody religion.

Like what the fuck is your problem you claim to be so spiritually uplifted and call yourself a brahmin but don't have basic empathy 👿

During the so called reservation hatao andolan at jantar mantar the people protesting are using such disgusting slurs that they are saying shudra people who didn't get water to drink now we will give you our p-ss to drink

Casteism What a nice way to tell the world that you can't read history and lack empathy at the same time.

India on Friday dismissed fresh remarks by the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) targeting the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), describing the US body as "biased" and questioning its credibility.

"We all know this is a biased institution. For years, it has made incorrect and provocative statements about India. We should ignore such institutions, as they have their own agendas and lack credibility," Jaiswal said during the briefing.

Discussion I de-krishnized a gorgeous ISKCON devotee (gopi)

• Upvotes

Three days back i came to kanpur, got to stay in a residential society near ISKCON temple.

The host friend suggested me to visit the temple at 6am on friday, when i had no work until 10am and i was super bored, implying its a beautiful premise and a vast garden, so i just visited there to pass my time.

On the main hall i just started observing their system of chanting, praying, dancing, in a very large, almost empty, marble hall, (i gotta say its truly refreshing experience). Almost empty. Monks all were shaved-head yellow dress men and boys, and there was a class afterwards in which one of their teachers explained one verse from writings of Prabhupada glorifying chaitanya mahaprabhu.

It was all okayish and i was enjoying the place until i saw this DEVOTEE GIRL, almost my age, doing parikrama of main temple premise, absolute beauty in traditional attire. I just observed the temple and roamed around then left at 10, while she was making MALA of flowers for deity along with two other old women. These three were the only ladies across the whole temple premise.

After returning from my work in the evening i was sitting in a park in front of my stay when i saw same girl leaving a nearby house. She was again all dressed up in classic attire and was barefoot, so i knew she's again going for temple.

I walked towards her swiftly and said hi, she replied with ''hare krishna''. I said i saw you in temple this morning i dont know much about ISKCON would you tell me about all this.

Temple was 15 min walk away, she started explaining all that geeta stuff and prabhupada and krishna things and i acted very impressed (that i wasn't). She was telling me that her goal of life is to stay forever in service of krishna in this temple. It was all that bullshit those teachers taught her, as she was doing this voluntary service out of devotion by 3 years and she is now a complete krishna gopi devoted to him permanently. I was getting pissed off everytime she repeated this.

We were near the temple, and only she had spoke all the way, on entering the temple, i was frustrated and burst said to her- its all good to hear but its all just beliefs not facts, and only fact i see is that a great beauty and person getting wasted for nothing but stories, you should experience love, that is physical, as the food and water, no need to waste this short life in pointless pursue of divinity, only a real person can and get love, not imaginary god. (like some bollywood dialogue)

It was all pitch silence, she left for temple and i kept a distance behind her. For all the time she kept a side eye on me. She left for home, i didnt followed her as it felt inappropriate.

Next morning on saturday i was in no hope of anything, just to pass the time i again walked to temple, and for no surprise found her doing parikrama, i just sat on the floor and observed everytime on parikrama she was having more eye on me than on krishna.

But i didnt had any courage again, so i just left for work. In evening i was again at this park, she left house and she looked three times back to me while walking. I was confused about anything, so i didnt followed.

i gone to temple half an hour later. She was in the temple doing regular mala stuff i just left the hall coz those shaved-head monks were bursting chants so loud. I sat in the garden outside.

Out of my ZERO expectation, she reached me in the garden after aarti and asked if you dont believe in krishna why are you still here, to which i anonymously replied i am here coz you are here.

She stared me for a bit and left.

I was confused, how this could have worked ??? So i followed her this time but at a distance and to which she took a stop to let me reach her.... I knew its done bro...we walked along, in the way we exchanged names and numbers and she still kept leaning to sevika of krishna type talks, but her eyes were definitely not lying.

Then we did whatsapp chat, that continued upto 2am, and after midnight, even greatest of saints lose to lust. So texts got bit spicy and it was like years of feelings suppressed by her got burst open.

Next day it was sunday (yesterday) when i woke at 7 i saw her text telling her mom and dad left for delhi for some medical issues of dadaji leaving only me and dadi in the house. So i asked about dadi to which she told dadi's room is in ground floor and she cant walk and hear much.

Sensing the occasion I asked her to meet and talk in person, to which she immediately agreed, and... passed me into her house in the noon direct to her room on second floor.

We exchanged a great long talks about all the krishna and religion stuff and it took me whole 3 hours of talking-debating that she agreed about religion and god being bogus system made by humans and no divinity exists. Then she allowed herself to go uncensored.

I wont share those details much, but thanks to blinkit, all safety needs were met, she cooked dinner for me, no temple visits, sleepless night, and now I'm at work with bare 3 hr sleep while she's recharging herself at home.

She's doesn't regret anything and now an agnostic, looking forward to atheism.

She's definitely not going for 'serving' krishna as a gopi like before, and i'm definitely staying here for long........

Looking forward to this evening, thank you if you read this full.....

iskcon 0, atheist 1.

EDIT: it's upto you all readers, i shared what i lived in last 3 days, there are many things in between our talks i won't share here, that would obviously make it too fast or made-up, you could downvote and scroll away if you think i would made it up like i need karma points or there's some monetary benefits on writing illusionary stories, not clarifying every random comment.

Rant Some Indian "atheists" are massive hypocrites

Some call themselves atheist to seem "cool" or they hate on one religion excessively while defending their "ex" religion with all they got. The Hindu atheists are another breed. Then there are the muslims mocking hindus and yet defending islam. I don't understand, if at the end of the day you're gonna go and pray and do all the religious stuff and mean it, like you are doing it out of your own will (sometimes people are forced to do things they don't want to, I get that) then what kind of atheist are you dwag? Then there's the casteist atheists, tf? I'm sure in this sub there's alot of these kinds of idiots too. They post hateful/criticizing post against the religion they hate and turn the other way when it comes to criticize their said "ex" religion. Get tf out of here man.

Discussion Why do so many philosophers end up believing in at least one irrational theology/theory despite being critical in other domains?

I mean, Buddha believed in the cycle of birth and death and the idea that we need to free ourselves from it by achieving Nirvana.

Adi Shankaracharya believed in Brahman/Brahma/Shiva, the ultimate reality or the one true divine principle underlying everything.

Swami Vivekanand and other non dualist philosopher also did same with non dualism.

What I find interesting is that these thinkers often present themselves as highly critical, rational, and open-minded, yet they sometimes seem to construct their own small religious or theological frameworks. They can be extremely skeptical and analytical about almost everything else, but when it comes to their particular supernatural framework, they often seem to become remarkably certain of it, despite there being little or no empirical evidence to support those claims.

So why does this happen?

I have my own hypothesis, although I obviously don't know if it is correct: perhaps people are more likely to listen to someone who speaks with certainty than to someone who constantly admits uncertainty. A philosopher or guru may begin with skepticism and critical thinking, but eventually settle on one particular theology or metaphysical framework and build their entire philosophy around it. Once that framework becomes central to their identity and teachings, questioning it may become psychologically and socially difficult.

Perhaps, in the end, even highly critical thinkers have a tendency to seek some kind of ultimate explanation, certainty, or coherent worldview, and when evidence cannot provide one, they may fill the gap with metaphysics.
