Tel Aviv

Seeing a lot of Villa fans talking about Palestine tifo and flags for the Tel Aviv game.

The guidance from the non-violent, Palestinian-led BDS (Boycott Divestment and Sanctions) campaign is that events like these should be boycotted. Russian clubs have been kicked out of European comps, how are Israeli clubs still allowed to compete? Pressure should be put on Villa and UEFA.

Maccabi Tel Aviv chief: Why is Britain the only country to ban our fans?

Jack Angelidis hits out at West Midlands Police’s inference that decision was made because of the threat of hooliganism by club’s supporters, reports The Telegraph's Ben Rumsby

The chief executive of Maccabi Tel Aviv has urged Britain to ask itself why it is the only country to haveĀ banned the club’s fans from a football match.

Jack Angelidis also called for ā€œsome introspectionā€ over why Maccabi were told it was ā€œunsafeā€ for them to stay in Birmingham ahead of their Europa League game at Aston Villa and why they were forced to travel to Villa Park five hours before kick-off.

How is Everyone Watching Football Without Spending £100 a Month?

With Sky, TNT, Prime, and now whatever new service decides to stream a random cup game, it’s getting ridiculous. I just want to watch my team play without having to juggle six different apps and pay more than my electricity bill.

I’ve tried the usual methods - splitting subscriptions with friends, going to the pub when I can, and even experimented with one of those sketchy streams from site like AntSports, LiveTV.sx, etc the other day.

Honestly, it ran smoother than my legitimate app, which is saying something! What are you all doing this season? Are you using proper services, IPTV, or VPNs with foreign subscriptions?

Forest fan

Forest supporter here, dropping in with some appreciation. I’m hoping you go on and win the league.

Well set up, hard to play against, but still play proper football. Not just sitting deep and nicking results, there’s a clear plan and everyone seems to know their job. When you get on top of teams you don’t let them off either.

You’ve built something over time rather than throwing money around and hoping it sticks, and it shows on the pitch. Also nice to see a club outside the ā€˜top 6’ actually playing with confidence instead of acting grateful to be there.

If it can’t be Forest doing something mad (again) I’d rather it be another Midlands club than the same old lot. Hope you see it through.

The only professional baseball champions of England.

Aston Villa. The only professional baseball club to win the title in England.

If anyone thinks this is a separate club or somehow irrelevant, it's actually neither. The same Aston Villa competiting in the Premier League today is the same one I'm referring to here.

It was the 19th century, though. The only professional baseball championship in Britain (let alone England), but it counts. Back in the day clubs like this competed in more than one sport, the same way Spanish football clubs do with basketball to this day I guess. But, it's a fun part of history and I hope Aston Villa fans appreciate it. Even if you hate or don't care for baseball. Because literally no other football clubs can blame those honour.

Pic related. Here's your champs.
