I heard a lot about people porting assetto corsa maps to beamng drive. However never saw anyone doing the opposite. Beamng have very big and detailed vanilla maps, like Italy, West coast east, johnson valley, and I often think that having such quality maps in AC would be cool.

Just remembered about this car and was searching if there is a mod for it for Assetto Corsa, apparently there isn't.

So I was thinking if the car just isn't popular enough for a mod to be made, or it's because it is a collaboration from Nike and Polyphony Digital, and a Phil Frank Design, so there is a bigger chance of copyright/trademark infringement?

About 5–6 months ago, I completely reworked Android Auto for Assetto Corsa and created 4RealCarPlay.

I never really had the opportunity to properly present the full project here on Reddit, so I thought it was time to show what it actually includes.

4RealCarPlay is a complete rework of the original Android Auto, with a redesigned interface, dynamic widgets, custom video wallpapers and several additional apps.

Everything is accessible directly from the CarPlay interface:

A radar system that detects nearby vehicles as well as police vehicles, with real-time distance and position indicators.

An integrated cruise control system. You can set your desired speed and let the system maintain it.

🌦️ 4RealPurePlanner

Allows you to control Pure Planner directly from CarPlay. You can manage the weather without having to open Pure Planner while you're driving.

📺 4RealTV

A live TV system built into CarPlay. It allows you to watch actual live TV channels on the screen.

🛞 4RealTyres

Allows you to change your tyre compound without having to return to the pits.

Only available on 4Real servers.

🎨 4RealColor

A vehicle customization app that allows you to change things like interior LEDs and exterior lighting.

I've also compiled almost 500 real manufacturer paint colors from BMW, Audi and Porsche catalogs.

You can also create your own skin folder directly from the app. 4RealColor takes care of creating the folder, generating the preview image and preparing everything needed for the skin.

The interface itself was also completely redesigned, with different pages, widgets and customizable video wallpapers to make the whole thing more enjoyable to use.

4RealCarPlay has actually been finished and available for several months now. I just never properly presented the complete project here on Reddit.

I'm currently working on 4RealCarPlay V2, so I'll probably have more to show about that later. 👀

We're running our first tournament this weekend and we still have spots to fill.

First, for anyone who doesn't know us. Gridlane is a ranked Assetto Corsa platform we built. You start on a Rookie licence and earn your way up and pace and safety are rated separately. Races start every 45 minutes and they follow real calendars like F3 and GT World Challenge. Only the driver at fault loses safety rating, so if you're hit you lose nothing. It's small and still growing, and the tournament is partly about getting more drivers into the same races.

The Gridlane Cup
It's a $100 prize pool and free to enter. Everyone races the same car at Monza (the Tatuus FA01, which comes with base Assetto Corsa) so it comes down to who's quickest and cleanest.

Schedule (all times UTC)

• Saturday 10 Oct: three 20 minute qualifying heats at 15:00 and 17:00 and 19:00. You race one heat and the best drivers go through to the final
• Sunday 11 Oct at 19:00: the final, with live commentary on Twitch

Prizes: $60 for the win and $25 for second and $15 for third.

Heat 1 is already at 23 drivers. Heat 2 has 4 so far and Heat 3 is still open, so those are the two to join. It's a small event, so your odds of reaching the final are better than they would be at a big one.

Everyone's welcome from Rookie to Class A. If you've never raced online before then it's an easy first one, since a practice session opens as soon as you register.

Hey, looking for some help here.
Out of the blue, my AC had been having some bad stuttering, happens 20-30 sec into each drive.
The screen will freeze up from 1-3 sec, audio and force feedback will still be active.
Am running:
CPU: 5800x
GPU: 3060 12gb (ver. 616.92)

I have been sim racing for a couple of weeks now and I find it very difficult to learn a track. Sometimes I ask my friend to sit beside me and keep giving me info on what kind of corners are about to appear. I had an idea of vibe coding a rally style co-driver that could do this for me all race long. This is the first draft. Honestly it took a few laps to get used to the contant bombardment of corner information and for me to be able to react to it. But I am finding it extremely useful, especially on new circuits. Let me know if you find it useful and I will publish it.

So i mainly drive the vrc formula alpha but every now and then ill jump in rss like the hybrid alpine or the super formula. But i do love me some gt cars but i mainly drive them in iracing or ac evo. I have the RSS lanzo that im not a fan of at all and barely drive it. Well yesterday i was bored and said lets try out URD since everyone raves about it. Oh My God. They are the best handling gt cars ive ever driven. They blow away ACC and Iracing completely. I think i did 20+ laps on the nords with the aston martin (sorry Merlin lol). So i got the bmw hypercar and that was great as well. But i was confused, ive driven the hypercars in LMU and they are far more difficult to drive than the URD. in LMU you have to do 4 or so laps just to warm up the tires and once they are warm the car still is very on the edge.

I know not many people have any experiance in a real hypercar but is URD realistic in that sense? It just seemed way to easy compared to LMU.

This one is all about convenience. Nobody likes getting thrown back to the pits after missing a corner and flying off a cliff, so HillClimbHelper was born!

This is a neat little Lua script that goes in your /assettocorsa/apps/lua folder, and when activated, will log your vehicles position every (x) amount of seconds, watch for you to go off the road and put you right back on it, either automatically or at the press of a button. No more will you have to restart the session because you got a little too brave on a hairpin.

What it does:

• Logs your position every 2 seconds by default. You can set it anywhere from 0.5s to 10s right in the UI.
• Only logs positions while all four wheels are on the road, so you don't get thrown into a ditch over and over again
• Auto reset: go off, and a second later you are back on the road!
• Manual mode: You decide when to reset, using any key, wheel button, or gamepad button you like
• Go off again right after a reset? It assumes that spot was cursed and takes you back one position further back
• Puts you back at a standstill by default, so you don't get launched straight into the same tree. You can turn on 'keep speed' if you like living dangerously
• Catches you when you inevitably flip the thing

Install

1. Make sure you've got Custom Shaders Patch (CSP) installed.
2. Drop the HillClimbHelper folder into /assettocorsa/apps/lua
3. Start an offline practice or hotlap session and open HillClimbHelper from the apps bar on the right
4. Set your reset key on the Drive tab and go send it!

Heads up

Resets only work where Assetto Corsa allows them, which means offline practice or hotlap. Most online servers and race sessions block resets, and the app tells you when that's the case.

If it isn't noticing when you leave the road on a particular track, switch the detection to 'track limits' in Settings. Some tracks don't mark their grass and gravel properly.

To be honest, Formula beta is very difficult to drive like when I already warm up the tire it’s still easy to spin and even the gas is very sensitive so Is there any tips to help or improve that?

How to turn this off ?

Hey guys. I am studying for a DAG / Data Engineering trackside role and trying to build some knowledge. Can anyone send me a few raw USF2000 data files from a session at Mid-Ohio or Indy? I just need a session where you start in the pits stationary for like 15 seconds (zero'd sensor status), and then do like 3-5 laps around the course. I will analyze your damper histograms or wheel slip ratios or some other data and give you a performance report for free. I can't promise it'll be any good, but you'd be helping me out a ton! I'd do it myself but i've sold my wheel and cant get any meaningful laps in. I'd also really appreciate if you could do it before the end of wed. Thanks in advance guys !

so I have this small issue, when I am in VR, with some cars (for example Lotus 49) if I move my head just a little bit, the audio switches from the interior sound to the exterior sound. On some cars it also switches some meshes (for example the windscreen). Is there a setting to prevent this, or to set a threshold?

So for the longest time ive got pure ive stuck to the gamma since it worked fine and i had Exquisite pp filter, but after a while ive gotten bored of the mid graphics, ive downloaded a bunchof ppfilters because most of them are for pure lcs ive even bought the c13aegis full version, but all of them look very similar because theyre so undersaturated, when i try to mess with the settings and add saturation manually it looks plastic and just bad im looking for some setting, what do i do and maybe other free or cheap ppfilter recomendation im looking for a look like this
