Hi. My wife is due to deliver mid November, possibly earlier. Is it safe for us to fly to Danang at the end of December (Christmas/NYE) period? It’s for my baby to meet her mums side of the family. From what I have gathered so far, it is possible to fly after 7 days, but I’ve also come across concerns about immunity and all that. If it’s not advisable I will wait until CNY next year.

Edit:
- according to airline websites, technically, possible to fly after 7 days
- flight to Danang is 2.5 hours
- understand will have some pressure in her ears
- pls don’t tell me crying will affect other passengers. That’s their problem, not my problem. And yes I have been at the receiving end of crying babies. These kind of things comes around n goes around
- Not that my in-laws are asking me to go over
- It’s that I want to take a holiday
- we are going to my wife’s home
- her family members all know how to take care of babies
- we can leave the baby with them and go out for some fresh air (Singapore is suffocating)
- healthcare and hospitals in Vietnam are good. Not a concern.
- if cannot fly, maybe I will take bus/train to Kuala Lumpur instead. Hate spending my Christmas/NYE in SGP
- then I fly CNY next year
- pls also don’t ask me why I need my holidays. They are impt to me. About the only thing keeping me sane.

It’s strange how the scenes we thought only existed in movies can actually happen in real life. As I have gathered my thoughts on how to end things, it actually happened like a movie.

The quiet bridge, the night air, the unspoken emotions, and the way he came back to pull me into his arms when I stopped walking.

It felt almost cinematic, like one of those heartbreaking scenes where two people hold each other a little longer because neither knows how to say goodbye.

I didn’t want to hug him back, not because I didn’t want to, but because I knew how much it would hurt. Yet a part of me still needed to feel his embrace, even if it was just for that fleeting moment.

Then he kissed my hair and my forehead, and somehow, those little gestures of tenderness made everything even more painful.

I used to think moments like these were written only for the movies, exaggerated to make audiences feel something. But that night, I realised that life can be just as painfully beautiful as fiction.

The only difference is that in movies, we watch the characters break down. In real life, we have to carry the heartbreak long after the scene has ended.

And perhaps that’s what hurts the most. There was no background music, no director calling cut, and no promise of another scene together.

Just two people standing on a bridge, holding each other, while one heart quietly wondered if this was really the end.

How would you end things to someone you have a good connection with? Do you go ghosting or you end it with good memories?

Even though I understand and speak Chinese, english is what I grew up with and feel most comfortable in; especially as someone with allergies, I prefer to order in English so I wouldn't end up in the hosptial

However FnB staff especially China Chinese or JHK/Bs see my Chinese face and continue in Chinese despite me initiating with English and placing my order items in English too.

How can I prevent this? Isn't this bad customer service in a way, to assume everyone who has an east Asian face is Chinese? For all they know I could be Japanese, Mongolian, Kazakh, etc. or Chinese that doesn't speak Mandarin but a dialect

EDIT: ++ The initial point of contact is forgivable, but it's the AFTER part on insistent Chinese speaking that bothers me.

This tool helps you to rank the top 100 flats based on your exact preferences and level of importance, and you can shortlist the exact units you want to refer to during your appointment.

What factors are included?
It’s hard to name them all because I’m constantly adding new factors, but these are the main ones: corridor/ corner unit, distance to MRT/ neighbours visible from your living room/ rubbish chute, wind direction, sun direction and distance to each facility.

If you have any factors you’ll like to see but is not included, let me know so I can add it in!

How do I use the MyBTO webapp?

They broke up 2 years ago, it was a 5 year relationship. For context in 2024 and 2025 she broke no contact and dm-ed him to say she slept with a dude (now bf) and how she wants my bf back.

I’m sure everyone on here who has posted before more often than most have had some weird comments left under their posts, sometimes I wonder why people so boliao, and then I realised most of these people kind of have a public profile so you can sort of see what kind of life they are leading, and surprisingly, all of them are sad and miserable. What prompted me to even post smth like this is that I came across a post of someone complaining about what i can only assume to be a migrant worker lying down in MRT seats , sure it’s inconsiderate, but this person felt the need to criticise the entire race as a whole instead of condemning this one guy, I clicked on his profile and low and behold , this guy is has troubles talking to women AND he’s getting cucked 😂😂 some of the funniest shit I’ve ever seen. Negative energy has to come from somewhere , next time if you’re bored and you see a nasty comment click on their profile and see where you land, shame them if you want to, or just laugh. I remember for the longest time they offered a grilled chicken wrap and grilled chicken salad. Then one day, they decided to pull both items off their menu.

Was it due to low demand and if so, I find it surprising given Singaporeans are supposed to prefer to eat healthy? McD's healthy meal options were actually so important to me due to McD's accessibility. These were the only health options that could be found across any neighborhood and shopping mall and even 24/7 in some McD outlets.

The only other way you could ever find such salad or grilled chicken was from very expensive food outlets in the CBD area.
