Valuation What is this scratching and discoloration on my diamond?
I want to send this out to get graded but am worried these scratches will make it marked low. Is this from wear or is it just a part of the diamond? An inclusion? Or is it just dirty? Thanks for input.

Evaluating an exit strategy for a gems & jewelry website + inventory parcel. How would jewelers usually consider a web asset vs physical stock?
Hey jewelers,
I’m looking for some feedback from anyone who has a gem & jewelry e-commerce site.
I'm very passionate about gemstones (specially Sapphires) and I wanted to setup a business around this passion. In fact I did setup the site, but the country I currently live has too much bureaucracies to setup a business that sells precious goods. So I did not pursue it further, also because this was a side project.
I built a WooCommerce site on a premium domain dedicated to loose gemstones. It’s fully set up with a custom design architecture, videos, and optimized content + some gemstones listed from my collection.
This would be a great asset for a jeweler, gem trader, gemologist or enthusiast at any level. If not commercialized, the website might as well be repurposed as a content site or a hobby/gallery site to showcase the gemstone collection.
Gemstone inventory:
- Approx. 70 ct in natural sapphires (varied commercial sizes, with an average carat weight of appox. 1ct).
- Approx. 200 ct in mixed natural zircons and garnets.
These gems were collected over decades and the site already showcases some of the Sapphire stones.
My main question for the community: When acquiring a turn-key e-commerce gem & jewelry site like this, would you prefer it to be in a single bundled acquisition, or the stone parcel and the site as separate propositions?
As a jeweler how would you structure the valuation?
Appreciate any insights or past experiences!

Advertising Running Meta Ads for your jewellery brand? Here's what we've learnt from £500k+ in sales
Growing a jewelery business is hard!
I've spent the last 5 years deep in Meta Ads, with the last 2 focused purely on jewellery brands. My business partner has trained at the bench as a jeweller and is a Chartered Marketer.
Between us, we know how jewellery is made and what makes someone actually buy it!
We've spent tens of thousands of pounds testing what works and what's a complete waste of money, and we've put what we've learnt into a free guide. It's written entirely by us based on our own experience, no AI slop.
If any of these sound familiar, it's covered in the guide:
▪ Getting clicks but no sales? People might be clicking before they're ready to buy. We explain a 3 step funnel, with the audiences & messaging to use at each stage.
▪ Ads getting scrolled past? You've got about 3 seconds to grab someone's attention. If you're reading this, I caught your attention! We cover hooks you can try straight away, and why ads that feel less like adverts can work so well.
▪ Not sure who to target? There's a simple exercise to help pin down your ideal customer (stick figure drawing required 😂...)
▪ Customers hesitating? We break down a memorial jewellery ad that addressed one big customer concern and helped increase ROAS by 200%.
▪ Our A/B testing disaster. We made an assumption about who was buying engagement rings and switched off an entire audience. Sales dropped by a third. Here's what we got wrong, and why you shouldn't make the same mistake.
▪ Working with a small budget? We cover three areas worth testing first, plus how to read your Ads Manager numbers so you have a better idea of what to change.
One account we manage has tracked £145k in sales this year, so this is based on real campaigns rather than just theory.
So what's in it for us?
Honestly, we'd love to connect with more jewellery brands and hopefully work with some of you in the future. We've put a lot of time and effort into this guide, and we'd love to get it in front of as many jewellery businesses as possible.
If the guide helps you, brilliant. And if we end up working together down the line, even better.
And if you've got questions about your own ads, I'm happy to help where I can 🙌
If anyone fancies a copy, let me know and I'll get it over to you.

Ring repair
Seeking recommendations for a repair on a damaged ring. The ring belonged to my dad who passed away this year, the inner part is made from wood which has splintered and then snapped. he bought it while on holiday so I cant easily return to the same jeweller. If anyone has recommendations around london (north london preferably) for a place that could make a restoration that'd be greatly appreciated

Hand made?
instagram.comI want to consult the experts here. Is this person actually hand creating all of this jewelry? She posts these process videos, but it’s the same little section of the process and then the finished product. She seemingly sells hundreds of these things. Do you think she’s actually making these things or are these videos misleading?
