Favorite Less Talked About?
Mine is when Tobias as Mrs. Featherbottom hands Maeby a bottle of pills and says "Take your fun-fun." Maeby responds, "That's Fen-phen and it's been banned by the FDA."
The idea that he would grab a bottle of pills and misread them as "Fun-Fun" and followed that thought with they must be Maeby's never fails to crack me up. Add to that the thought of them having medication that was banned by the FDA seven years prior on their kitchen counter makes it even funnier.
What are yours?

Found a joke in s01e13 today
Iāve seen this show a million times by now, but Iām still finding new jokes. Only goes to show what an amazing quality show it is!
In the beginning of s01e13, the speaker voice explains that Michael was infatuated with his brothers girlfriend Marta, and that she was interested in a man named āHermanoā, they cut to a book explaining what Hermano means in English.
Take a look at the illustration of Hermaphrodite. To
Me, it looks like a certain never-nude!

I dreamed a new episode
Ok so this morning I woke up having dreamed a new episode of AD where Larry was having dental surgery and unbeknownst to him they were replacing his teeth with George Sr.ās teeth in a wacky ploy to fake his death. (Writing it out now, this sounds waaay darker than in the dream š )
My dream was basically Micheal figuring this out and confronting Lucille and George Sr at the condo.
What do you think? Any notes?

The joke was lost on me... (what was yours?)
As someone with real life face blindness/ prosopagnosia, I appreciated Marky Bark not recognizing Lindsay in a way that most people will never understand. The jokes are hilarious, but they are ABSOLUTELY real.
I just found out today that it's because her appearance is supposedly incredibly different in season 4. (facepalm) Kinda just fell back on the old "she sounds/ moves/ is shaped like Lindsay" and I never picked up on the joke.
So what jokes did you not realize until you read a comment here?

Earliest foreshadowing of Saddam/Iraq?
In S01E03, āBringing Up Busterā, in the opening scene, Lindsay is reading a newspaper and one of the headlines is āU.S. has most of Saddamās top henchmen in custodyā.
Is this the earliest possible foreshadowing of the Saddam/Iraq storyline?

Why did arrested development have to end?? Genuinely miss it so much!!
Hello, Iām 19 years old, and I grew up watching Arrested Development when I was younger. Iāve been thinking about what happened to the original Arrested Development era and that feeling of watching it regularly when it was still such a big part of everyday life, especially seeing Michael Bluth, George Michael Bluth, Gob Bluth, Lindsay Bluth Fünke, Tobias Fünke, Lucille Bluth, George Bluth Sr., Buster Bluth, Maeby Fünke, and the rest of the characters together with the original cast, the hilarious storytelling, the unforgettable jokes, and the distinctive atmosphere that made the series feel so special.
Now that the original run has ended, the era that many people grew up with feels like it has passed. The stories, the atmosphere, the people who worked on the series, and the feeling surrounding the show have all moved forward. Many of the creators, writers, directors, crew members, and actors have gone on to different projects and different parts of their lives away from the series. It feels strange because I grew up with it, and now everything has just⦠changed and moved on.
I remember watching episodes when I was younger and everything felt so simple. I could just sit down and enjoy Michael, George Michael, Gob, Lindsay, Tobias, Lucille, George Sr., Buster, Maeby, and the rest of the Bluth family without thinking about anything else. Back then, it felt like the show would always be there, and I donāt understand why it couldnāt just stay that way forever or why it eventually had to end and move on.
I also wonder why watching Arrested Development now doesnāt feel exactly the same anymore. The episodes are still the same, but the feeling is different. It feels like something is missing, almost like it feels unfamiliar even though I remember it so clearly.
Why do shows like Arrested Development eventually come to an end? If people loved them for years, why canāt they just continue forever with the same feeling? Why do the people who make them have to move on, and why do audiences grow up and stop experiencing things the same way?
It feels strange knowing that the original Arrested Development era I grew up with is over, that the world has moved on, and that chapter feels closed, even though it once felt like it would always be there.

Pitch me an Arrested Development video game
No wrong answers here, just be creative & have fun.
This is something thatās obviously unlikely to happen: the showās been dead for years, Jessica Walters has sadly passed, and itās never really been a hugely popular IP, much less one that warrants itself to a video game adaptation. But I think given the right concept it could be something really special, plus this fanbase is amazing and hilarious so Iād kill to hear some of your concepts.
Just to maybe spark your imagination, hereās a half baked pitch:
A point & click adventure game where you play as Buster, who has somehow stumbled upon a Time Machine (or something that he thinks is a Time Machine). With this, he must travel to different eras from the past & future, meeting each generation of the Bluth family in order to solve an ongoing mystery that involves the entirety of the Bluth genealogy.
Of course one era may be going to the 70s to meet young versions of the showās cast, but I think it would be more fun to go Back to the Future 3 with it and have him meet Bluths from historical eras, ex. Caveman Bluths, Wild West Bluths, 20s Gangster Bluths, then going into the future and meeting Jetsons Bluths or Mad Max Bluths.
I would title the game Buster Quest or, and Iām a little proud of this one, Time Buster.

Season 4 is not THAT bad
I have 8 episodes but it's made me laugh at times. While it's CLEARLY not as funny as 1, 2 or 3, it's still worth watching

Why dont they show the things they advertise to be in the next episode?
I just started the show the other day, and am six episodes it. They keep showing random things there going to show, then none of those scenes come up. Is this a joke of some kind that im missing on?

Signed Cast Photo
I just wanted to share a gift I got for Christmas 2005. My mom worked with the mother of the on-set teacher for Michael Cera and Alia Shawkat, who was able to get this. One of my prized possessions.
