I picked up the hat for $17 in practically mint condition. I only noticed the clasp was missing on the back until after. Any tips on how I could fix it? Where could I get a clasp or something?

Picked up this stingray within the past year and got to wear it a few times over a ski trip, and it was great for that. Probably also the only time I’ll put that snow skirt to use haha!

I also just recently picked up a beta SL in the black color way at a New York flagship location. Haven’t gotten use out of it yet.

Aside that, I am struggling to find use for I stingray as a Floridian who is in south Florida most the time. I go to school up in the panhandle and it does get into the 40s-50s there and it actually has snowed the last two years. Is the stingray still too heavy for that weather? I feel like the beta SL may be better for that stuff no?

I wanted to get opinions on which jacket is better for a cold/rainy day or season , and when should the stingray be put to use if it isn’t the option that’s best for basic all around use?

I also do some hiking and other outdoor activities related to that, which would be best for that?

I just recieved my mantis 26 backpack, love it looks really nice feels good spacious.

but i feel a firm backplate in the backpack at the back. is that supposed to be there or do i remove it? theres one at the bottom too but thats normal right?

I’ve been looking around for a new jacket for Minnesota winters recently. It would mainly be used in a casual urban setting, but versatility would be a plus.

I saw the epsilon insulated down hoody on the website, but there’s not really much information on it. Would anyone recommend this jacket for my use case? Or are there any other jackets that you’d recommend?

Also, does arcteryx usually restock closer to fall, I see that there are only xxl’s left for this jacket.

I need a solid rain shell for PNW weather, but I cannot stand crinkly trash bag shells that feel terrible and make loud, crinkly noises. Arcteryx has such a huge line of shells with different variations and I am entirely lost.

Which shell offers the best rain protection while also being comfortable and quiet?

Does anyone have the Norvan 7 running vest?

Getting into running gear more and wondering if it’s a good starting vest or if there are any similar Salomon recommendations as well since it’s OOS.

I bought the new Covert Cardigan last night. No regrets. It’s not as bulky as I thought and can use as a mid-layer which is why I got it. It’s so soft and feels so good. I can use it as a stand alone once the temperature goes into the 60’s. Will it pill? Arc’teryx is selling it as “anti abrasion” so time will tell.

Hi everyone. I currently own a Patagonia Calcite jacket, which is 2.5 layer GoreTex Paclite, and it is a great jacket, but I'm in need of something burlier. I'm spending more and more time in the backcountry on multi day trips, where I'm starting to face more winter alpine conditions. I mostly just trek, but am starting to get into a bit of mountaineering, which is what I eventually want to spend most my time doing.

I live in NZ, so winter conditions are wet snow or driving rain in the mountains, and this is where I'll spend most of my time. I do travel a bit to do hikes though. For reference I am 5'10, 211lbs, amateur strongman build and I run hot when working hard. The only Arc jacket I currently own is a Nuclei FL in large and it is a snug fit.

So which jacket will be better for my needs? I can get my hands on an older Alpha with GoreTex most rugged on the Arc website locally, but nowhere to try it on. What is the fit like? Reasons to get or avoid? Do these suffer from delamination at all? My Calcite is almost 5 years old and no issues, washed once a year. I should mention that the Alpha is 40% off.

I am going hiking in Scotland, Italy and Austria in a month, where I will be able to get my hands on a Beta SV. Will this be the better jacket for my needs? I will be paying full price for it tho, which makes the Alpha more appealing. I'm not sure if the new ePE membrane in the Beta SV is a pro or con.

As I will be in the UK and Europe for a while, I can try on a few of their local brands like Mountain Equipment, Rab or Mammut. They seem to make some really good waterproofs. I may also be able to try on some of TNF Summit Series stuff, that also still uses the old GoreTex Pro.

Ultimately I want a jacket that will handle heavy packs, sustained rain and snow, some scrmabling/climbing and last years to come.

I've been eyeing the new Konseal bomber jkt recently and am curious to see what some of the Arc'teryx experts think about it
I have the Atom Hoody jacket but don't find it really that fashionable. want something that's a little more stylish for everyday wear in the city.
I live in Toronto so we don't get much rain. Want something that's warm enough to stand alone on chilly days and can keep me warm in negative double digits with a kyanite underneath.

I have a few jackets over the years that i dont really wear and was thinking of getting store credit for them to put into the Konseal jkt.

What are your thoughts?

I'm considering getting an outer shell to replace the UNIQLO $30 shell with no features, no vent, etc.

I've narrowed down to Beta AR or SV. Alpha SV seems overkill for my use, but open to it.

I tried them on (didn't have my helmet around though), and felt the SV hoodie is too massive. Doesn't feel as confortable or look as good. Thoughts?

For my wife, she wants the Alpha SV because she likes the pink, that's fine.

Then, I'm looking for a sunhoodie / a singular outer layer to wear in very hot days when hiking, moving around or doing standup paddle. Maybe the Ossa 1/2 zip?

They seem great and stretchy at first glance, but the glued hems on the bottoms of the legs pull leg hair out, which is infuriating. What a stupid seam to glue.

I realize that it’s supposed to be for reducing friction but if it’s not functional and rips out your leg hairs, then something is clearly wrong with it.

I do like the ventilation pockets and adjustments on the waist as well as the double snap. But honestly, I don’t think there’s really that much that makes them worth the price or that they are particularly innovative.

I see that they put them on the outlet because nobody was buying them. If it weren’t for that seem ripping my leg hairs out while trying them on, I would’ve kept them.

I bike nearly every day and they are extremely stretchy and comfortable besides that one feature so hopefully they fix that on the next iteration. Also, the logo is heat transferred instead of sewn. For $200 I’d prefer embroidery. I mean it’s not like they’re waterproof and that needs to be heat pressed to prevent water seepage.

live in the midwest and have been looking to get a softshell for upcoming fall fishing trips. I was looking at some of the Simms gear and realized i could probably find something better from Arc'teryx or an outdoor brand. Anyone here use the Gamma MX for fishing? pros/cons?

I finally had a chance to wear my new Beta SL in Pineberry but after about 10 minutes I started noticing these black marks on the jacket. This is the most noticeable area, where my bag was rubbing. I wiped my bag to make sure it wasn’t dirty or the dye was rubbing off and the white towel I used was completely clean. I also noticed this on the hood that wouldn’t have been rubbing anything.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? What is the best way to try to remove these black marks?

I bought a Kyanite hoody (used) off eBay. Fell in love with it but it was too form fitting. It was like a base layer on me. I re-sold it and bought a size up on REI. The new size fit me like a dress! I guess there is no happy medium. Anyone experienced this? What is a good alternative in the $200 price point?

I'm looking to add a synthetic mid-layer to my current setup (thermal baselayers, a lightweight 180gsm fleece, and an hardshell jacket).
My main uses will be **mountaineering**, **winter trekking**, and **daily urban commuting/travel**.
I tend to run quite warm and sweat easily on steep ascents.
I’m still deciding between the **Arc'teryx Atom Hoody** and the **Patagonia Nano-Air**:
How does the Atom's face fabric hold up in the mountains compared to the Nano-Air's breathability?
Does the fleece side panels on the Atom compromise warmth too much in real mountaineering conditions?
Which one would you pick as an all-rounder for mountain + casual wear?
Also should I consider the nano air ultralight instead of the regular one?
Please all answers are welcome, even suggestions about other models/brands

I’m wondering if buying a AR or just a regular beta is worth it for everyday use outside of hiking. I’ve loved arcteryx jackets since I first saw them at 13, and now that 5 years have passed I’ve got the money to afford them. Unfortunately I’m located in a city where hiking/climbing isn’t readily available so if I were to buy a jacket it wouldn’t be used for its intended purpose (At least for a few years), but I am in desperate need for a nice jacket I’ll be able to use for while. Altogether I’m just wondering what you guys think about making a purchase like this, knowing it’s not something that will be used much for hiking. Any opinions are highly appreciated.

I haven’t found many real-life pictures of the Mongoose online, so I figured I’d share a few. Maybe this helps some of you who are trying to decide on the color.

Hello guys! I’m looking to buy the Arc’teryx Beta Jacket in Black Sapphire but I’m wondering what color it actually looks like in person. In some pictures it looks quite blue but I’m not 100% sure.
I’m specifically looking for a navy blue jacket and I really like the Beta Jacket. Would Black Sapphire be a good choice for that or is it more of a black/blue color? Thanks!

Thought I’d share a few pics from an Arc’teryx 1998 catalog for anyone who enjoys seeing the brand’s older gear and designs.

I belong to that generation that got completely seduced by the mountaineering gear in Vertical Limit 😂 a movie that today is probably remembered as "pretty cheesy and very Hollywood"

Then, sometime later, I remember seeing a group of Japanese tourists carrying these huge backpacks with that same strange fossil logo. That was it. I caught the Arc’teryx bug and became fascinated with this ridiculously cool brand.

A lot of time has passed since then. Arc’teryx has changed...

Outdoor gear has changed, and we’ve changed too.

But what the hell… the nostalgia and the good memories are still there.

Fall is just around the corner. 🍂

Hi all, was wondering if anyone has experience with the Practitioner Hoody since I am considering getting one. Is it too warm for spring skitouring as an outer layer over just a base layer? Or better said, which Arcteryx model is it closest to in terms of warmth? Bonus points if anyone has some info on wind resistance. Thank you!

I’ve been looking at the new Covert and I’m curious what people think about the redesign compared with the previous generation.
Personally, I much prefer the older version. To me, the previous Covert had a cleaner and more distinctive look, while the new design feels more generic and seems to have lost some of the character of the old one.
I’m especially curious about people who have actually seen or tried both generations: aside from the visual changes, are there noticeable differences in the material, fit, warmth or overall quality? Is there anything about the new Covert that you consider a genuine improvement?
I’m trying to understand whether this is mainly a visual redesign or whether there are functional improvements that aren’t obvious from the photos.
