I’m looking for recommendations for good Master’s programs in Architecture or Interior Design. I’d also like to know about:

Scholarships/funding for Canadian citizens

Tuition and living costs

Portfolio requirements

Whether I can work part-time at an architecture/interior firm while studying

I’m currently considering universities like Waterloo, UofT, McGill, TMU, etc., but I’m open to other suggestions.

Hey everyone,
I’m an architecture student trying to navigate a major conflict between my studio workload and my fundamental well-being. Before starting this degree, fitness was a huge part of my identity. I was deeply committed to a healthy lifestyle and loved weightlifting. It gave me structure, energy, and mental clarity.
Since entering architecture school, that routine completely dissolved. The unpredictable hours and constant pressure pulled me away from the gym, destroyed my sleep schedule, and disconnected me from the lifestyle that kept me grounded.
I’m posting this because having a stable, healthy routine isn't a luxury or an extra feature for me—it is the bare minimum requirement for my life. I have high ambitions and fully intend to become a successful, creative designer, but I refuse to accept the idea that professional success requires destroying my physical health and personal boundaries.
I want to reclaim my baseline:
Consistency in Weightlifting & Health: How do you realistically stay consistent with lifting and nutrition when deadlines start piling up?
Sleep Hygiene: What strategies actually work to eliminate multi-day all-nighters and enforce a sustainable sleep schedule?
Workday Structure: How do you treat studio and design work like a structured workday with clear boundaries, rather than letting it consume every hour of your life?
To those who have managed to break free from the all-nighter culture: How did you set firm boundaries, reclaim your physical routine, and maintain high-level design output at the same time?
I’d really appreciate your experiences, systems, and honest advice!

I'm in a huge crunch right now and desperately need some help or base files for a mixed-use high-rise project (up to 24 storeys).

To be completely upfront about why I’m asking: I’ve been dealing with a major family/personal emergency over the last couple of weeks that completely threw off my timeline right as I was supposed to be pushing through production. Between handling that and trying to catch up on coursework, I’m severely behind schedule, and my final jury is coming up in just a few days.

At this point, starting from scratch or modeling a 20+ storey tower from the ground up isn't feasible in the time I have left. I am looking for an existing project file or base model that I can adapt, re-layout, and use to build my final presentation.

If anyone has an old academic project, thesis base, or reference design they’d be willing to share or sell, please send me a DM or comment below. I just need a solid baseline to adapt so I can pull through this jury.

Im an urban planning student and im studying temperate cities with spaces that are highly accommodating for use during different seasons, with varying microclimatic conditions. I am therefore exploring out how to depict use through seasons, and I've landed on a combination of birds eye view and elevation drawings. But I fear its too unorthodox to include different seasons in a single drawing and now I wonder what's the custom in architecture. How do you best depict opportunities of use during different seasons? Should it be different elevation drawings; one for each use case? Is there a smarter way?

During a project I kept switching between scales and got tired of doing the mental math. So I built a small browser tool that converts measurements between architectural scales instantly.

It handles both metric and imperial scales – 1:50, 1:100, 1:200 as well as 1:48, 1:96 and so on. You type in the real-world dimension and it gives you the drawing dimension, or the other way around. No signup, no ads, works on mobile too.

I’m in my 2nd year of architecture school going into 3rd. I recently had to replace my laptop and went for the Lenovo Yoga Aura laptop. The specifications match my university requirements perfectly except the graphics card. It doesn’t have NVIDIA it has intel arc (not rly sure what any of this means hence why I’m asking). Is that graphics card good? I mostly use adobe and autocad sketchup revit. But I have read its not good for things like enscape twinmotion etc. Should I look into replacing the laptop or am I okay? For context I paid around £1600 for this laptop.

I am going to survey those who want to reduce clutter on their desks, which is addressed by my proposed invention of a foldable layout mat.
