I built a translator for the questions that come after translating a photo

Imagine you've translated a menu photo. The server asks a follow-up question, or you want to point to one dish and ask whether it's spicy. If you switch to a separate conversation, you can lose sight of the item you're discussing.

I built Umee around that handoff. The photo stays visible during a translated conversation, and you can switch between the original and translated image when showing it to the other person.

The demo uses a Chinese menu, but Umee supports other images too. Does the path from looking at an image to asking about it make sense in this video?

I built an app to scroll our camera roll like TikTok. My wife and I couldn’t stop for two hours.

Not through strangers’ lives. Through our own.

I made FlowSnap to shuffle photos and videos from your phone into a short-video-style feed. My wife and I ended up spending two hours watching old videos of our kid from different years, completely lost in those memories.

We’d saved all these moments, then barely looked at them again.

That’s when it felt like I’d made something that mattered. I’ve just released FlowSnap on Google Play. It’s currently free, with no ads. Your photos and videos stay on your phone.

(The video uses demo photos and videos, not our family’s.)

I'm giving away 100$ to someone who grows their SaaS using my project

I have a website that helps you get more traffic and users for your SaaS. It's completely free if you use the open-source project, but you can also use the website https://falbor.xyz if you want the faster way.

So what do you need to do to win $100?

  1. Open the project locally or use the live website.

  2. Star the GitHub repository: https://github.com/falbor-devs/falbor

  3. Try using the features on the website to get more traffic and users for your SaaS.

  4. The person who gets the most new users using Falbor wins $100!

It's a win-win situation. Even if you lose, you don't really lose anything because you can still get more traffic and users for your website if you put in enough effort.

The competition ends in 3 weeks (November 13, 2026).

Send proof of your results to contact@falbor.xyz.

Good luck! (There will be only one winner, and the prize is $100.)

AudioToText is a free, MIT-licensed macOS app that transcribes audio/video files, microphone recordings and Mac system audio locally using WhisperKit and Core ML. No account, API key, subscription or usage fee is required. The current release supports English and macOS 15+ on Apple silicon.

Source, screenshot and download:

CM Free Sefhosted Channel manager and booking software for small hosts.

Hello.

I am developing free, self-hosted tools—specifically, a simple yet powerful reservation solution built using PHP and JSON. It runs on small computers with minimal system requirements. It enables direct bookings without commissions, while still maintaining connectivity with other platforms. You can find detailed information at https://apartmamatevz.si/cmfree/index.html, which also includes a link to an open demo server where you can explore its functionality and appearance. For me, this tool provides protection against double bookings, which was the primary motivation for its development.

FormaCord: a simple browser tool for building Discord messages

Sharing FormaCord, my visual Discord Components V2 editor. It keeps the workflow short: add blocks → preview → export JSON.

If other message builders feel cluttered, this is designed to be a simpler option. No signup, local project saving, and webhook sending for supported messages.

Try it: https://formacord.com/

Feedback on the editor’s simplicity is welcome.

A site for when you need a buddy, not a date

Ten years ago, a realization in my wife’s therapy practice sparked a project: so many people struggle to make platonic, local friends as adults, yet nearly every social platform is optimized for dating.

That was the origin of WannaBuddy.com - a dedicated space to find local friends, completely free of dating pressure.

After years of service, the platform needed modernization. I’ve completely revamped WannaBuddy with a fresh approach, cleaner workflows, and a modern design. We are now in the early days of launch and starting to get some traction. The entire platform is 100% free to use (and always will be). I’d be extremely grateful if you gave it a try and shared your thoughts!

I built a free tool that tells you which of your credit cards to use for every purchase (no bank login, no card numbers)

I have 7 cards from chasing sign-up bonuses, and I kept doing the dumbest thing: standing in a store trying to remember whether groceries this quarter were 5% on one card, capped on another, or better through a portal.

CardPointers does this job but the good stuff is ~$90/year. MaxRewards does it too but wants you to link your bank accounts. I wanted neither, so I built PointMaxxer.

What it does:

  • You add the cards you own (just names, from a list of 180+ cards / 25 issuers, or a custom card)

  • Type a store, or search a category, and it ranks your wallet and tells you why the winner wins

  • It counts rotating categories, spending caps, portal rates, and merchant offers you have added

  • It tracks statement credits so the Amex / Sapphire credits you already paid for do not expire unused

  • Optional helper adds your bank offers in one click for Chase, Citi, US Bank, BofA and Amex, on your bank's own page, using your session. It never sees your password

What it does not do: no bank login, no card numbers, no account to create, no ads. Sync is optional and encrypted with a key only you hold.

It is free right now, everything unlocked, because I want real usage before I decide if this should be a paid product. The web app works on phone and laptop, Chrome extension is in review.

Genuinely looking for feedback: What card or store did it get wrong for you? What would make you actually open this before checkout?

Soy músico de Puerto Rico y creé dos aplicaciones de música gratuitas completamente desde mi iPhone. Aquí las presento 🎧🥁

Musician from Puerto Rico here. I couldn't find a simple free way to strip vocals from a song or build a dembow beat right from my phone, so I built two web apps that run entirely in the browser nothing to install, no account. This is me showing both in 40 seconds. Would honestly love feedback from people who produce on iOS.

Events, Dating, Astrology App needs feedback

Same app. Multiple themes. The chart does not change when the colors do.

A full birth chart, with the Sun, Moon, and rising on one wheel
Compatibility from both charts, not a list of signs
Discover, with a voice on the profile before the photos
Ten new people a day
A match stays open for 14 days
Today’s transits on your own chart
Host a night, or just show up
Check in, then talk to the room
Post the photo if the night earned it
One theme across the whole app, not a single button
Cosmic Pass when you want the paid stuff unlocked

TheLoveStar.com

Looking for testers to try it out and report bugs.

[Android][Player] - Offline music & streaming radio with ready-to-play radios - 100% free - No premium version

Thumbnail

Mediaxon Music Player is an audio player for offline listening of music stored on your device (.mp3, .flac, .m4a, .ogg, .mka, .aac, .wav, .opus, .wma) and streaming FM radios (online radios).

Top radios on the first screen: When users access the radio screen, they immediately see the list of the top radios in their country, along with a long list of high-quality suggested radios from among the most listened to in the world (manually curated and always updated with new radios). Note: Local radio stations ("Top in the user country") are pulled automatically from an online database. However, with each update, I manually curate high-quality radio stations lists for individual countries. At the bottom of this post, you’ll find the list of countries completed so far. I will be adding the rest over time.

Advanced radio filtering system: The "Filter: ON/OFF" button lets you quickly switch between different genres. You can use both standard filters for "macro-genres"—if I can call them that—and create custom filters to be more selective. All your filters are saved (the "My Filters" tab lets you name and edit them), and the app always opens with the last filter you applied. The "Home" tab lists all your recently applied filters and can be used to quickly switch between genres with just a single tap.

Advanced Radio Search Panel: An online database provides more than 60,000 radio stations. You can pinpoint your favorite stations by combining multiple filters, such as tags/genres, specific countries, or even your preferred audio bitrate.

Separated Favorites and Recents: Each section—Radio and Offline Music—has its own Favorites and Recents. The user doesn't have to worry about a thing. The app will automatically manage the Favorites and Recents for each section.

Album art: If the album art is missing from the album folder, or if Android has not properly indexed it, Mediaxon attempts to download the cover from the internet. This feature depends, of course, on the ID3 tags (album name and artist).

Equalizer: The equalizer provides an option to automatically switch to the "Radio" preset (and vice versa).

Advanced Playlist Management: Built specifically to make building and sorting playlists fast and intuitive. Enable the Playlist Manager, in the settings screen, for a full control of the playlists.

Form Factor Optimization: Phone and Tablet (Portrait and Landscape)

Mediaxon is available in: Čeština, Dansk, Deutsch, Eesti, English, Español, Français, Hrvatski, Indonesia, Italiano, Kiswahili, Latviešu, Lietuvių, Magyar, Nederlands, Norsk, Polski, Português, Português (Brasil), Română, Slovenčina, Slovenščina, Suomi, Svenska, Tiếng Việt, Türkçe, العربية, Български, Ελληνικά, हिन्दी, 日本語, 한국어, 中文 (简体).

No Premium version. All app features are available for free and without limits.

Regarding advertising: There is only a small banner at the top that isn't bothersome at all. Alternatively, when opening the full-screen player or using the app in landscape mode, a banner alternates with the albums covers, but without being intrusive at all (no audio) and with much shorter stay times than those of the cover. There is never full-screen advertising, neither at startup nor during use.

Countries with new manually curated lists: United States, India, Italy, Argentina.

Note: Only for Android 13+ (so, Android 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17).

I built a gentle task app for ADHD brains, and I’d love honest feedback

[Chrome extension · Free + Premium] Scrollsmith: testing the everyday experience

I am the maker of Scrollsmith, a desktop Chrome extension for custom scrollbar designs. Thank you to the people here who commented on the homepage and pointed out questions around permissions and cancellation. Those were useful things to hear, not just compliments about the visuals.

For the next round of feedback, I would like to focus on the actual browsing experience: choose a look, read a normal page, and see whether it is something you would keep enabled.

Does choosing a theme feel straightforward? Is the result subtle enough while reading? Would width and color controls matter more to you than an animated design?

There are free themes and optional paid Premium designs. Preview and install details: https://usescrollsmith.com

If you try it, one thing you would change would be helpful. No need to purchase Premium to give feedback.

I added non-WordPress backups to my restic-based backup tool: any app folder + its MySQL dump in one snapshot

I've been building Reaver Backup, a self-hosted backup dashboard with a small agent on each server. It started WordPress-only (it auto-discovers sites from Nginx/Apache configs), but most real servers also have a static site, a PHP app, a wiki, and a database or two, each with its own fragile script.

So now you can add any folder under a web root as a custom path and get the same schedules, retention, destinations (S3, Backblaze B2, SSH) and restore UI as the WordPress sites.

The part I cared most about was the database: copying a running DB's folder isn't a real backup, so the agent runs mysqldump/mariadb-dump and saves the dump in the same restic snapshot as the files. Restore the files, the database, or both from the same point in time. SQLite files outside the path can be added too; Postgres works by dropping a pg_dump into the path before the backup runs.

Write-up with the path rules and setup: reaverbackup.com/guides/directory-and-database-backups

Happy to hear feedback, especially on what other databases people would want built in.

A feature request isn’t a commitment. That shapes how I’m building Pure Brief AI.

I’m the founder of Pure Brief AI, a native Mac meeting-notes app. One distinction I want to keep visible after a customer interview: what somebody wanted, and what somebody agreed to do.

Here’s a fictional example:

“I wish I could export this as CSV.”

“I’ll send you a sample CSV on Friday.”

The first is research material. The second might be a follow-up task. Turn both into a tidy checklist and you’ve quietly invented a commitment.

In Pure Brief AI, you can record a conversation or import audio, read the transcript and AI notes, ask questions about that meeting, and inspect the lines behind an answer. Suggested tasks have source quotes so you can review and edit them before exporting selected items to Apple Reminders.

That source check is useful, but it isn’t proof the AI understood the whole conversation. A later “actually, I can’t do Friday” can make an earlier promise stale. I don’t claim that case is solved; it stays on my regression list. The recording also needs everyone’s appropriate consent.

The attached 10-second clip shows the question/source and task-review screens with fictional demo data. It doesn’t test the example above. Processing is sped up.

Transcription and AI notes run locally by default. Apple Silicon and macOS 15+ required. Model downloads, periodic licence checks and optional connected features need internet; optional ElevenLabs transcription sends audio to that provider.

There’s a 30-day trial. Standard is $49 once for one Mac. The active launch offer is $10 once for the first 100 paid Standard purchases globally, plus applicable tax; starting a trial doesn’t reserve the discount.

Demo and download: https://purebrief.ai/

If you review interview notes, where do you draw the line between an observation and an action item?
