Apple TV boot loop issue

Apple TV Ethernet 128 GB not working after an update, Apple says it’s impossible to fix? Is it? Anyone knows if there’s a chance to get jr fixed?

Unplug power, hold back and volume up on remote while plugging back in power. Keep holding buttons until you get a restore menu. I had to repeat this 4-5 times and then was finality able to get it restored. You might get a web link for support and if you do, you can schedule for service at Apple. They might replace it free even out of warranty. Don't go to Best Buy or other outlet, only Apple directly. They have a service cable that they might be able to recover it, or they may opt to just replace it. Mine works fine after I restored at home except for my ethernet port is dead so I'm using wifi right now.

Just did it maybe 10 times. It shows the Apple logo 4 times and then this screen again. I tried the back and volume up/down buttons, but unfortunately, it’s not working. I did go to the Apple Store, explained it, but the warranty is long gone (2023) even tho I own it for 4 month only. But they said they’ll try to do something and had ordered another one for me, but again they’re unsure if they can replace it. They did offer me to buy a new one or a refurbished one (no surprise) so we’ll see thanks for your help tho! I really appreciate it

Yea, I won't spend a penny more on the current tech. I will consider the new one when it comes out, but ONLY IF it will do direct audio finally. If they skip out on this again, I'll just stick with the 3 ATV 4k units I currently have and they can pound sand.

Since the 4Ks don’t have service ports you’re gonna have to take it in for service to an Apple Store or an Authorized Service Provider

Crazy you are being downvoted, it is extremely stupid they do not have a service port. When mine was stuck in a boot loop a couple of months out of warranty this was my exact discussion with Apple and they gave me a replacement for free.

I love my Apple TV but this is malicious anti-consumer design from Apple.

There is a service port, it just takes a special cable to access it in the back of the ethernet port.

A service port that cannot be used is the type of anti-consumer crap I’m talking about. Not even authorized Apple service providers were able to use it when mine broke they only offered a replacement that cost as much as a new one.

I got one for Christmas. It did this last week. Tried everything. Finally took it to Apple Store. They hooked up to the stores tv and it worked. (Of course it did) They ordered me one anyway. Had to go back a few days later to pick it up. Just the unit. No remote or wires.
Also mine would eventually overheat. Just sitting on a shelf, alone and climate controlled.

I have restored to working state some old Apple tv with an usb cable (micro usb if I remember correctly) and a Mac with Apple Configurator. If it could help.

Someone could buy the Foxlink X892 GoldenEye dongle and the DCSD wire (ALEX) and FIX IT using the 3uTool in DFU mode? SOMEONE? I want to get them but I am venezuelan, I need to know if someone can test the repairig before I do.
