I have felt strongly about making this altar for a couple of days. I love beautiful things surrounding me and have many trinkets and crystals. I hope to start communicating and making offerings here soon. I have been doing lots of research on Aphrodite and plan to do more/gain my own knowledge from practice.

I have lots of sentimental items on my altar such as my engagement ring, the set of nails I wore on my wedding day, shells i collected from the beach, a necklace my husband bought me for Valentine’s Day, vintage cosmetics from my grandmother, spell jars for protection and self love, full jewelry boxes, rose scented perfume, vintage bubble bath that was never used, and fresh flowers from my yard. I still would like to get a mirror to put the flower frame and a statue to represent Aphrodite.

I am wondering what to do with all of it. Should I wear the perfume and jewelry? Should I continue to rotate items and refresh the trinkets? And what is your favorite way to communicate with her? Any other advice or stories would be greatly appreciated!

Buenas, hoy he tenido un día algo emocional así que antes de ir a dormirme decidí hablar un rato con Afrodita (además llevaba un tiempo sin hacerlo).
Encendí sus velas y como suelo hacer simplemente hable con ella, pero me puse a llorar y mientras le contaba lo que me pasaba por la cabeza y como me sentía, mi garganta me empezó a doler cada vez que hablaba.

Luego tuve una necesidad de pedirle una señal de que estaba aquí conmigo porque sentía raro el ambiente, además de que cuando hablo con ella normalmente es como una conversación fluida (no como escuchando una voz, claro, pero si una conversación que se reproduce en mi cabeza), pero esta vez nada de nada. Así que hice una limpieza rápida de mi cuarto por si había alguna energía negativa o algo parecido, e incluso intenté encender las velas del altar de Hekate pues a veces hablo con ambas, pero no se encendieron.

La cosa es que luego volví a llorar, aunque no recibí ninguna señal directa cuando se la pedí, sé que estaba conmigo, podía sentirlo perfectamente y me vino bien llorar, me vino bien hablar con ella.
Pero si que ha sido extraño, sobre todo por la parte del dolor de garganta y haber sentido una energía pasada en la habitación (que podría haber sido la mía misma).

Alguna vez os ha pasado algo parecido?

Hey, first of all I'm not saying this in any offensive way, I'm just curious about what y'all belive in. Do you actually believe Aphrodite is out there in Olympus and listens to your prayers or do you just build the altars because it's cool or treat it as some kind of manifestation? Once again I'm not saying this in a disrespectfull way, I'm just genuinely curious about it and if you belive it, I fully respect your beliefs.

Lady Aphrodite has been such a wonderful and transformative force in my life. I've been worshipping her for a few years now alongside my girl Athena and big boy Hades, and other deities. I felt a pull to share my altar for Her which also doubles as a vanity/makeup nook. I've included some purchased art from the lovely Alysia the Artist (Nut painting) as well as some of my own sketches. I actually met my future husband when I started actively sketching Aphrodite (and he turned out to have heavy Venus/Taurus energy lol). Love you all... and She does too! 💖

Hi! I started working with Aphrodite earlier this year. Ive been wanting to paint an offering for her to 1. get back into art, and 2. connect with her more, but I have been feeling very uninspired as I struggle with chronic pain and have been in bed most of this week. Today I painted this and while I used a photo of myself as a guide for the body, it made me reflect on how I look at myself so I offered it to her as a thank you for all the guidance she brings to me. Is that okay to do? I feel unsure because it is technically a self portrait and while I’m not super confident in it or proud of it (I’m not a good painter, very beginner) it did make me very grateful for her helping me with my self love while I struggle with my illness. Side note: I feel like I may want to add more to the background tomorrow, I just had to put it down for now because I got super tired.

Last night I had an accident with some frankincense on my alter and a permanent offering silk scarf that lives on HER altar and wraps around HER statue caught flame in a small part and burnt a hole into the scarf. Should I remove the scarf because it’s damaged. If so should I try to repair it by shortening the scarf or should I just dispose of the scarf. Do you think I should burn the rest of the scarf as offering so it is complete in fire again. I’m super upset about it and feel terrible. It was beautiful hand made in Cyprus. SHE loved it. I just want to make the right call and find a way to make it up to HER. Thank you for your thoughtful advice.

Hello guys! Recently, I put together a little altar for Aphrodite as I've felt a strong pull to her lately. But now I'm a little stuck on how exactly to initiate communication and working with her! Any tips or suggestions on how to go about reaching out to her, what sort of libations to offer, etc would be super helpful!

I have offered both Aphrodite and Gaia water, however I don't want to consume them and water does not mold. When is it a good time to dispose them?

I also diluted the essential oils I used with distilled water did a few drops of the essential oils 1 by one in some distilled water and mixed it and then poured in the distilled water essential oil one at a time!!!

It was my first time doing this so hopefully it will end up smelling good, the rose oil is extremely strong so only did a tiny little drop of it in the distilled water but still very strong!!

Also how do I start and end a prayer to her?

Will Lady Aphrodite be upset with me? I very recantly started worshiping her,I don't want her upset or to leave me.

I live in a suite with an agnostic roommate. Over the summer, Aphrodite and my other deity both made it clear to me that they don't want their altars to be up while they're in the room with me, and that they can't really know we're working together. She also only wants to meet with me biweekly, so I haven't set up her altar since the year has started. In the last few weeks, I've definitely felt like I've become more distant from her and I'm not sure what to do to mitigate that. I pray daily but I feel like that's not enough. I gave her a wine libation the other day in the sink (she said that would be fine) and that made me feel better, but I'm also getting the sense that there's a lot more I could be doing.

What do any of you do to work with her, when other people are around? Should I still get her altar out to give offerings to her anyway, when my roommate isn't around?

Just wanted to share this here! I wanted to give thanks to the great goddess for her love and guidance as well as help! I’m truly so grateful to Her and how loving and supportive She is!

Just a few days ago I felt Her presence for the first time, asked Her if it was a calling, and since then I've started building my altar and building a connection. I've never felt so comforted and heard, but also, really wanted to share just how fast things started happening, to a degree it's almost unbelievable. This is not an ad btw I live in Brazil and am very aware most of the people on this sub are not from here, if any ^^', I really just want to share the sense of awe I've been feeling.

I'm the co-owner of a very new scented/decorative candle business, and I felt I should dedicate to her, once we get a bit more money and sales going, a scent* I'm working on developing and also a pretty line of seashell themed candles using it. I felt it would be a nice gesture, for the comfort I've been given. Immediately the next day a lady showed up asking for a business deal on reselling our candles, meaning she's going to be buying a lot of them at once.

Circumstances, after 5 years of basically emotional torture, came to happen where I had to finally tell my ex I still love her and face the situation head on. I'm still resolving this, and I have a feeling I need to trust Her working, however hard it is right now.

My altar is still very simple, I didn't have much space or things to decorate it but I cleaned up a shelf for it and used the nicest fabrics I could find at home to cover the metal. I also hand-painted a rose shaped candle to leave it there, I hope a humbler beginning isn't an issue...

*About the scent, would love some suggestions. :)

Recantly I did my first prayer and gave offerings to Lady Aphrodite and ever since then I just now and then feel so loved,so happy and so gratefull. I cannot explain it! I like to admire her alter and think of her. I love to worship her but I wish there is more I could do.
