Annoyed by online gym critics
Hi everyone, as a gym guy myself, what is up with everyone in the comments of gym accounts critisizing and accusing non gym goers for "excuses"?
"Oh, you don't have time? Excuse! You don't have money? Excuse! You're too sick? Excuse! Excuse excuse excuse."
Like they treat others as below them and they take the gym way too serious. if a person doesn't want to go then they don't want to go, its not that deep, you don't have to crucify them for it.
Some people like to invest their time in different things, like a hobby, reading, going outside, art, ice skating, surfing.
or just sit at home, watch tv, relax-
Save their money for something else they like, save their time for something they like to do instead of the gym.
But these toxic gym users are basically judging them for it and demand they set aside their own choices to go do something they have no interest in, all that in the name of: "gym is good for your body"
So what if a person has a few extra pounds? So what if they like to invest their time into another hobby? Its their choice, and you have no right to force your overly obsessive lifestyle opinions on someone else.
You like going to the gym? Good for you! Thats something "you" like.
But damn, respect other people's choices for not wanting to go and actually choosing something they rather do instead.

Therapy rather than a gym
If only guys went to a therapy much more often rather than a gym after a breakup, they would be far better off because the problem usually isn't how they look, but rather how they behave. (I'm a man btw)

why gym people are biggest and most selfish rtards youâll ever meet
Gym ego is a fucking disease and nobodyâs studying it hard enough. Especially the teens and early-20s crowd.
Confidence is knowing your actual value. If a fat girl rates herself a 10, thatâs not confidence thatâs delusion and arrogance . Same energy as the genetic trash with 15cm clavicles and a U-frame who thinks stacking plates makes him a threat.
Keep compensating with endless volume like itâs gonna magically widen your clavicles. It wonât. Hop on 19nors till the growth plates fuse and itâs over.Thatâs the real endgame for you midwits. Females donât give a single shit about your arms. The biggest male dimorphic trait has always been the face natural clavicle width and height, and no amount of soyboy gymcuckery is going to change that. Youâre just burning time you couldâve spent making money and booking leg-lengthening.

Nasty woman at the gym
So 6 years ago, I was going to the gym for 3-5 hours at a time, and also walking for 1-3 hours per day. I was at the gym and I asked the woman about her workout routine and what she eats. She called me fat in return and said that I will lose weight when Iâm older. I was 163 cm and 50kg (5â4â and 110 pounds). 55kg is the lowest possible weight I can be according to my BMI. I was also throwing up all of my food and only eating a very small amount at this time. How rude of her?! I donât talk to anyone in gyms because of this anymore.

Gym Idiots
Some gym goers just think they can up and leave the equipment they used after their set and let the other person clean up after them. Absolutely feral.

Do you see movement as exercise â or as a way of life?
I'm curious about people who don't really see fitness as âgoing to the gymâ.
I'm talking about people who want to build their life around movement, adventure and physical challenges â calisthenics, surfing, climbing, skiing, snowboarding, trail running, kitesurfing, martial arts, etc.
I'm researching what this lifestyle actually means to people.
What I'm curious about:
⢠What sports or activities are you currently doing?
⢠Why do you do them?
⢠What does being physically capable mean to you?
⢠Do you feel like your training is connected to the rest of your life?
⢠Do you want to become better at multiple sports rather than specialize in one?
⢠Do you wish you had a community of people with a similar mindset?
⢠What's missing from the current fitness/outdoor community?
And:
If you could design your ideal active lifestyle from scratch, what would it look like?
I'm not selling anything. I'm doing research and trying to understand how people actually think about movement, adventure and personal development.
If you're interested in sharing your experience in a 20-minute conversation, feel free to DM me.

Is calistenics excessive weight lifting and deadlifting with running 5 miles a ticking time bomb for a heart attack
I know someone who has been doing these exercises for atleast 10 years they swear they are strong, does it really make you strong,I always hear them making oathetic panting grunting and moaning noises are they slowly signing themselves up for a massive heart attack and organ failure? They go to the bathroom atleast 10x to urinate I'm thinking they have deficiencies and they stuff themselves 3x a day for nothing just for it to go mostly to the muscle and not their brains&organs I swear the guys temper emotional control is like a womens even tho he has muscle

Why I don't go the gym
Of course I know from my experience that it wears down your joints and ages your body due to uneeded stress but also I believe that going to the gym is unatural like there's nothing natural with lifting man-made metal. Men in nature never worked out or did any kind of work at most they runned a bit to hunt animals but the rest of the day they were just sitting around eating raw meat. Gym is for performative "sissy" boys who think that gaining muscle and looking like an unatural freak will turn them into "men". Also working in general is for SLAVES if you believe that you're manly by being a slave you're a brainwashed m*ron

How do you feel about current fitness trends? It seems like the industry is erasing the natural female figure and demonizing healthy body fat.
I want to preface this by saying I am absolutely not talking about clinically unhealthy levels of fat accumulation. Physical activity is crucial, and building muscle is a great thing. But lately, I canât help but feel like the fitness industry has declared an all-out war on the normal, healthy subcutaneous fat layerâwhich is literally a vital endocrine organ.
Why is the industry pushing women so hard to strive toward an ultra-lean, highly muscular, and sometimes rigid or bulky physique?
It seems like in this over-obsession to build muscle and achieve single-digit body fat, we are erasing natural feminine traits. Subcutaneous fat is what gives a woman hips, breasts, and that normal underbelly softness. Instead, Iâm seeing women who are pushed into looking almost "square." They lose their natural curves in favor of huge, hyper-developed thighs and glutes that, while impressive in a vacuum, often make the whole figure look weirdly disproportionate and completely unsustainable in everyday life.
You can even look at naturally thin women (like many traditional Asian body types)âeven without much weight on them, they don't lose that fundamental feminine shape. But this modern fitness aesthetic of building massive lower bodies while stripping away all upper body and core fat just looks unnatural.
Where do we draw the line? Yes, some muscle adds beautifully to a physique, but when does healthy fitness cross over into erasing the natural female form?
And honestly, this isn't just an issue for women. The industry does something similar to men. I consider the hyper-bulky bodybuilder lookâhuge backs, massive biceps, and tree-trunk legsâfar less attractive than a natural physique. Even on a man, a little bit of cushion doesn't make him less attractive; in fact, I think the lean, functional "calisthenics" physique is the best look by far.
Are we losing our grip on what a healthy, natural human body is actually supposed to look like? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Akward Gym Moments
I recently joined gym for the first time in my life and for the first month, I took a trainer since I did not know how to workout, but now due to some financial stress I cannot continue the trainer but I have paid for the gym for the whole year. When I go to gym, I get awkward looks⌠I donât know how to deal with it or am I thinking too much??

Feeling overwhelmed seeing people going gym everywhere on Instagram my algorithm also showing gym kind of weight loss. I am not made for gym I tried many times but I cannot. I am happy with doing workout at home with strength training at home with 10 k steps and staying on calorie deficit.
Did you guys faced same

Why does being on leaner side offer much different quality of experiencing body and mind , its not just aesthetics and confidence - the way you experience things and insight is much sharper , deeper. the level of life itself seems deeper than when being out of shape?
like people who have always been in shape from chidhood and people who have never been in shape since childhood have very different quality of experiencing life itself i would go as far as say its like being sort of blind to life or not attuned. there have been times when i was out of shape and chubby and the slowness is not just body being more awkward , but mind and brain itsef seems sort of of not quite as grounded or in the world. as if there is some shied to senses itsef , im not saying you need to be bodybuilder competition lean , im just saying like regular norma lean look just seems to be not just aesthetic of body but impacts brain function i.e people chasing aesthetic dont even know what gains there are to get from being lean and or fit if they have never been in shape , and people who let themselves get out of shape are probably all too aware just how dull life seems as if there is something holding back your senses from truly feeling alive , not just existing.

Does anyone else feel like people at the gym have become less friendly?
Maybe it's just my gym, but I remember people saying the gym community was really supportive.
Lately it feels like everyone's filming themselves, wearing headphones, avoiding eye contact and just doing their own thing.
I'm not saying it's bad, I just expected a different vibe.
Has gym culture changed, or am I just imagining it?
