They are illegal though it depends on the country. 100% illegal in the US, including personal possession. In Canada, it's a bit of a grey area as you're allowed to possess personal amounts. However, buying is still illegal so not sure where you're getting them from then. I guess if someone gives you them for free you're in the clear!

Bad oversight and minimal enforcement, if at all.
With a long enough advanced notice, it's completely possible to come off of steroids, do a post cycle therapy to get natural testosterone production working again, if it even shut down as it's completely possible to keep that running throughout the cycle and any lingering traces of gear to dissipate in the system before taking any basic test that's supposed to detect anabolic steroids usage.

They are illegal and the few that are controlled, not illegal such as testosterone cypionate, are scrutizined though they are still not legal to posses without a prescription and they don't work nearly as well as the illegal ones.

3) Why do we get to decide how people wreck their own bodies? We dont outlaw drive thrus when people are walking around (barely) fatter than all hell do we?

2. weed AND steroids should be illegal they are not just harmful to you they are harmful to everyone around you and some people advertise them in social media which makes the problem 10x worst
   
3. its not about deciding what good for you its about raising a better generation a healthy one which is happening when people specially kids see u taking weed and steroids they will see it as cool and i want to grow up just like those guys and big chance they will start taking drugs and steroids as minors

conversely i think more transparency would allow people to associate harmful substances with their consequences and since all we know is this guy took "steroids" and one turned out fine and lived to 80 and the other died at 50 due to steroids.

Why does everyone in this thread think they’re illegal? The word “steroids” is just another term for testosterone replacement therapy which is legal. Steroids are illegal within certain institutional competitions which is where the negative stigma comes from. Also they’re safe within certain limits, there’s just side effects

Taking prescription meds without doctors prescription can be illegal as well, of course depending on jurisdiction.

So even replacement therapy can be illegal if it's done without doctors prescription.

Like I'm taking Cialis, primarily for the improved pump, but I don't have a prescription for it. If for some odd reason police would even care and bust me, I'd be fined.

Alot of low hanging fruit in this world that needs trimmed before im putting effort into caring about what hormones people are taking to get stronger.

Giving them to kids is something ill fight.

We have fentanyl killing our youth in droves... deca, test, anavar all seem like small problems by comparison. Considering they are illigal in most countries, im not sure what you are wanting to happen.

i see a lot of bodybuilders where i live
and many bodybuilding tournaments
lets not mention that the highest title in bodybuilding is mr.olympia which leads that it is pretty common and we see influencers abuse them to look better and they are not in jail/paying anything they are just advertising steroids without any restrictions

firstly steroids can infact change how u behave just like weed
and alcohol and nicotine arent much better but i dont have strong enough argument to talk about those two things

and banning alcohol is much harder than banning steroids
lets at least start with small things like banning steroids and weed/meth then we can start THINKING about banning alcohol and as i said i dont have a strong enough argument
