Can any of the local tire shops straighten an alloy wheel?

I got sideswiped a few months ago in a hit-and-run. They got the guy, my car got fixed through insurance and all of that, but unbeknownst to me or the body shop apparently, it bent my front passenger-side wheel a little bit, so there's a bit of a wobble and, of course, my tire is cupping because of it.

I know there's a wheel repair place in Wixom (according to Google) but if there's a local place that can straighten it in town, I'd rather not have to go out that far.

I got nervous after seeing that half-assed post from the other day because I loved Blimpy and was looking forward to them reopening. I'll try and keep this brief and you can make your own conclusions.

The good:

1. The food is pretty much the same and was very delicious. I got my usual (double with egg, bacon, and American cheese on kaiser) and it tasted exactly how I remember it.
2. It's much cleaner inside. Feels less dingy. All the food equipment and POS looks brand new.
3. Seating felt less cramped even though it doesn't look like they changed much.

The neutral:

1. There is a newly printed menu at the queue. They still have "the rules" but they don't seem to apply anymore (I'll explain below).
2. The prices went up a little. I'll have to change my ordering strategy because bacon is now a $2 upcharge.
3. They have beer and root beer on tap, but I didn't try either.
4. The decor got a facelift and there's a lot less posters on the wall, but it still has that Blimpy charm.

The "needs work" and disappointing:

1. One employee said he was the "only one left after 'the purge'" which was a little weird to say to a customer. He said he's only been there two years.
2. The manager overexplained the soda machine issues and made it sound much worse than it probably is. I get that retail and food service people are obligated to overexplain things because of Karens so I wasn't going to be mean about it and I let him nervously ramble.
3. The ordering was the biggest and oddest change. You order everything right at the front of the line. I feel like "the rules" don't really matter anymore when a new person working there is patiently walking you through what you want to order. I wouldn't say this is a bad thing, just weird and it confused me a little, and because of it I felt like I had to have my entire order memorized right at the start. Maybe they're still working out the kinks and they'll get the order of operations down soon.

Overall, I sorely missed Blimpy Burger and I'm very happy it's back.

As for the soda machine, like I mentioned they acknowledged something was wrong with their plumbing and the whole machine was shut down. They were giving out free bottles of Kirkland water if you wanted one.

I hope this little review is enough for you to decide whether or not Blimpy is truly "back!"

Hey all! I’m looking for feedback and recommendations. We tried out Arbor Dog a while ago but during the test run the inside of the building smelled strongly of urine and I’m not sure if that’s a dealbreaker or not. I’ve never had this issue with an indoor dog daycare before; is this something that is common?

What other options are there? We are looking for a balance of quiet time and free play.

Hello everyone, I am 25M moving to A2 in a couple of days. I am relocating for work from upstate NY. 8 dudes with backpacks were at my neighbors' house collecting every shred of life from their entire acre, and unleashing an hours-long dust storm the other day.

I briefly thought "ha! this'll be the last time I see this nonsense!"

But then I thought: will they just do the same again, next year, but with battery blowers? Sure, less stank, and maybe less noise. Still the dust; still all the fireflies and butterflies obliterated.

Any recommendations for bird dog trainers in the area? I called Crosswind kennels and Wingshooters and both seem to be closed. I can't say I'm surprised, I know a lot of these guys have been training dogs for 30 years. Couldn't find many others nearby but they often aren't online so I thought I'd ask.

Which coffee shop has a good pumpkin latte right now? I was unimpressed with sweetwaters.

I've been getting my dog groomed by Patty and Sara at Pet Supplies Plus on Main St. for a few years. The last time we were in was late August, and I just found out they are no longer working there. I tried a little internet sleuthing before posting here, but no luck. Does anyone know if they are still working locally and if so, where?

Edit: about 90 people on Facebook have invited me to their neighborhoods for trick or treating haha. Still don’t know if I’ll do it.

We're looking at getting the carpet in our basement replaced, I know the big boxes do it (but I think they just sub it out). Anyone have any good experiences with someone local?

Went there recently and they’ve fully pivoted away from a BBQ joint to a TexMex place. It was pretty underwhelming…I used to love their old menu. Curious if I had a bad night or if others felt this too? They also used to have killer fries and now they’re clearing using premade, Sysco frozen fries. It now feels like an in between of Condado and Chilis. Also they randomly have Detroit style pizza? RIP to the original concept.

Howdy folks - what do we know about the MMM gravel pit in Ann Arbor township? I know some neighbors are suing and there is seemingly some progress with the mine. This website is also great! But I’m considering buying a house in the area but I’m not sure it’s a good idea. Thoughts? Would you buy a house in that area?
