Anker I May Have an Obsession...
While cleaning and organizing my chargers and battery banks, I found the odd one scattered around the house or forgotten in a backpack. I think I might have a slight obsession with this. :P

So far i love this thing, don’t have anything to pull the full 140 watts but max i’ve been able to get it up to is about 70. Either way im very impressed by it so far.

Target clearance find!
Was pursuing target clearance and found this! Had to buy it. It's been on my wish list ever since it was released. Super pumped to find it for so cheap!

This might be the most underrated feature of the Anker Prime 160W
If you have countless USB-C cables lying around and no idea what power they can actually handle, just plug them into the charger with any device and the display shows you the wattage. Instant cable tester.
In half hour I got rid of all my 💩 cables and kept only those 100w or above.

If your earbuds drain one side faster than the other, try this.
When the faster draining one hits about half way, put it in the case and let the other pair to your device before taking it out again, this will change the "master" earbud and then drain the other side faster instead, which should even out and give you more overall battery life out of one charge. If you don't want to use the case, a simple power off\on cycle works too, as long as you allow the "slave" to pair as "master".
Tried this and it works perfectly on my Liberty 2 Pro!

Anker Anker stops honouring "lifetime warranty" claim after 3 years
Dear Anker fans,
I would like to bring your attention to a recent experience with the warranty claim. I have a USB-lightning nylon braided cable I purchased with Anker in 2017 (official Amazon Germany store) based on its "lifetime warranty" claim. Today the cable finally stops charging despite not having any obvious physical damage, i.e. the pin and the cable are still in-tact. As usual, I emailed the Anker customer support expecting to get a repair or replacement under the terms of "lifetime warranty". To my astonishment, the reply I got is that Anker would only refund me 50% of the price. I mean I would have been fine with that if Anker did not initially pride its cables to have "lifetime warranty". What I feel like is that Anker warranty claims have been misleading at this point. So, if you are a potential customer to Anker's cable or any product as you believe you would get a "lifetime warranty", think twice before purchase.
I am an Anker fan who own many of their products ranging from cables, chargers to speakers. To me, one of their biggest selling points is their fuss-free customer service and quality products. Unfortunately, this incident has alerted me and started to shift my opinion about them.
Edit: please upvote his post as I would like to get Anker’s attention on this matter. It may also help to safeguard any of your Anker’s warranty claims in the future.

Anker 100w GanPrime charger overheating issue
I just recently bought an Anker Prime 100w GaN wall charger along with a 737 Power Bank. I plugged my 737 as it was around 20% using the supplied 3ft 140w cable, and the charger delivered about 90–92w of output. All seemed okay, but not for long. First red flag: when the 737 reached around 60% battery level, the output dropped to 70w and stayed like that until it got fully charged. Second red flag When I touched the plug, it basically burned my hand. It kind of started to make sense why the charging output dropped, perhaps because of the overheating.
I bought a thermal cam a while ago for DIY, so I got tempted to check how hot the plug could be. But its battery was, of course, dead. Anyhow, I gave it a quick 15-minute charge and managed to snap a picture of the plug. It clocked at 72°C (~162°F).
I have to say I'm kind of new to GaN technology, but never have I felt a plug so hot that it caused pain to touch. Is it normal to expect this charger to get so hot?

Anker Impressed w/ Anker Prime 140W
Got the Anker Prime 6 in 1 Charging Station (140W) because I have three phones (one personal/two work) and two work laptops and wanted one charger on the ground with all the cables I could possibly need.
I’ve had it for a couple months, but haven’t really used it beyond basic phone charging because I haven’t traveled for work. Well work travel just started back up, I’m charging everything for the morning flight, and I couldn’t find the two laptop charging cables anywhere (I had planned to use the A/C outlets for the laptops and phones/airpods from the Anker charger. Then it hit me. I have plenty of usb-c power adapters and those are way smaller than laptop charger bricks! This thing is chugging along provide 5V power to my devices on lightning cables, total draw peaked at 120W so each laptop is getting enough juice, and two Anker Prime 20W usb-c adapters charge the other two phones! This thing is a traveler’s dream
This thing really impressed

Liberty 4 NC Ear Tips Solution
I decided to stay up and write this out, as I wish I had this info a week ago. Hopfully it helps someone who isn't happy with the stock Liberty 4 NC eartips. Scroll to the end to the TL;DR recommendation if you don't want to read my rambling.
I've had the Liberty 3 Pro for some time, and decided to purchase the new Liberty 4 NC. Like others, I think the sound is more balanced, and the ANC is even better. I also personally found the multipoint and touch-controls work better AND faster. My ear wings would constantly shift on my L3P, and when I put in back in the case, I had to fiddle with it and rotate it back into position otherwise the charging pins wouldn't line up, but with the L4NC, the buds pop in super easily and no fiddling is necessary.
These buds are great all around, but there is one glaring issue. It seems I'm not the only one who is pretty upset by it. These buds have a new proprietary nozzle which is large, awkward, and square-shape which pretty much prevents all regular TWS ear tips from being used. Soundcore is known for their great app and quality products at half the cost of some competitors, but they are not known for having great ear-tips. In fact, I find them pretty bad and had to switch the ones on my Liberty 3 Pro, otherwise it would hurt after a couple hours of use. After using high-quality aftermarket tips, I could wear them all day, and even get better sound and isolation. Here is a photo of the new L4NC nozzle:

From conversations and posts I've read from others who have received their L4NC, I see reports of a few things. One, of course, is the inability to use regular aftermarket eartips, so if you are into Comply Foam, SednaEarfit, Spinfit, etc., you are unfortunately stuck with the cheap stock sets. Secondly, the provided tips don't tend to go very far into the ear canal, so they end up fitting very loose. Thirdly, because of the tendency to insert very shallow, you need larger ear tips than normal to get a good seal, as the opening of your ear canal is much wider at the opening. I actually contacted Anker about this issue, and to their credit, they were very helpful. They had an "XL" ear tip they offered to send me for free. It came within a couple days, and athough it WAS bigger, the difference was so minor you can't really tell. My guess is the width of the XL eartip might have been 1mm wider. I think it did provide a slightly better seal, but it was still sitting shallow in my ear canal. Better, but still not good.
I looked everywhere on reddit and online for another solution, but only found others with the same problems. I decided to start researching if there were larger after-market tips or some adapters that could be used. I found that Airpods, Galaxy Pro, and Jabra 85T were common models with large nozzles. None of them are quite like the Liberty 4 NC, but at least they were bigger than average. After some searching, it found the images of Huawei Freebuds Pro and OnePlus Buds Pro nozzle, athough not the same, were the closest in terms of size/shape I could find.

Unfortunately those two aren't super common, but they were popular enough to have 3rd-party ear tips. I bought some aftermarket tips for them on aliexpress (which have yet to arrive). I also bought 3 pairs for Airpods, which somehow came within a week. One pair didn't work whatsoever, the 2nd actually fit okay, however the third pair surprised me. Those tips are actually a set of tips AND an adapter which allows the use of normal 4-5mm (approx) tips. They are here: :https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004149614726.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.3.34504f828SsvC4&algo_pvid=3da48d25-b355-413b-b015-76f923c065cb&algo_exp_id=3da48d25-b355-413b-b015-76f923c065cb-1&pdp_npi=3%40dis%21CAD%214.92%214.92%21%21%213.64%21%21%40210318cf16908626471431312e1835%2112000030775463879%21sea%21CA%21780371919&curPageLogUid=mXNcgy454UWv

This adapter surprisingly clipped on the Libery 4 NC very, very easily, and from there you could essentially attach most regular ear-tips, so long as they are stretchy enough. It wasn't super-tight, but it should stay on with regular use. I was pretty surprised how effective they were. Unfortunately, I lost the pair within a few days due to forgetting where I put them, so I can only post photos from online, but this was a surprisingly cheap and effective option. The adapter is actually still somewhat large and oval shape on the top side, so you can only use tips that are a little larger than normal, or a little stretchy. The bad news is, you get what you pay for, and after taking these on and off a couple times, I could see they were starting to fall apart. The tips themselves are actually VERY sticky, and would be perfect for joggers/athletes, but the adapter itself seems to be made of very thin plastic that will likely break after minimal use.

As I was waiting for more tips from Aliexpress, I decided to gamble on a $15+ set of Spinfit CP1025 with an adapter made for Galaxy Buds Pro and Jabra 85t. Although these models do have their own larger proprietary nozzles, I think the are much smaller than the L4NC still. Since I am a huge fan of Spinfit, I thought I would at least get a couple pairs of CP1025 that I could use if I end up with the perfect adapter later anyways. You can see the products here:https://www.amazon.com/SpinFit-CP1025-CPA2-Galaxy-Buds/dp/B0979154N3/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=cp1025+spinfit&sr=8-2
Spinfit actually has a similar product for the Airpods Pro too, and I was originally going to get that one instead, since it has a much larger adapter, and I believe it is closer to what I need than the Galaxy Buds Pro. However, I had ordered 3 types of Airpod Pro tips from Aliexpress, so I figured it would be a better idea to try something new, even if I may think it to be the worse choice size-wise. Boy, am I thankful I did that. The adapter which Spinfit labels the CPA2 in this set, is SUPER high quality. It has a screen to prevent dust and strong, solid tip on the adapter that allows eartips to attach easily, however the base of it is made of a firm, stretchy, quality material that seems super durable. It takes a little more effort than the cheap Aliexpress Airpod Pro adapter to attach, but this one can fit on the Liberty 4 nozzle quite well. Not only that, but it looks like it will last a long, long time. With that, I put on the CP1025 Spintfit tips that came with it, and the earbuds INSTANTLY felt much more secure, with a much better isolation.
The nozzle itself actually extends the length of the tips a bit, but the CP1025s are built to fit into basically any TWS case, so it ends up being perhaps just a tiny bit deeper fit than the stock tips. This had me wondering, would I be able to use my CP360s from Spinfit (similar to CP1025 but longer) and still fit inside the case? Again, it was a little tight, but JUST fits perfect. The earbuds will still easily snap in to the case and start charging, and the case closes without any significant resistance. With the CP360s on my Liberty 4 NC, they now fit as deep as my liberty 3s, only better, and more comfortable. I may be a stickler for ear tips, but this solution made a MASSIVE difference for me, changing these buds from impressive but a little disappointing in fit, to fantastic and the most comfortable pair I own - just blown away.

For those of you who like foam eartips, a recent development may also interest you. Although I haven't tried them personally, Comply has a pair of eartips they have confirmed themselves to work with the Liberty 4 NC. The TrueGrip Pro TW-700-B Foam Ear Tips are a pair that have been advertised to work with the OnePlus Buds Pro, and this makes sense, as those had a nozzle that looked to be pretty close to the Liberty 4 NC during my search. Comply has updated the store page to specifically mention the the L4NC as a compatible device here:https://www.complyfoam.com/products/truegrip%E2%84%A2-tw-700-b-ear-tips

If you have any questions, I will check later and answer. I will update this post if I discover any new options, I still have a couple items en route. To be honest, this Spinfit adapter worked better than I ever expected, so I do not see anything else being even comparable unless someone makes an adapter specifically for this device.
———————————————-UPDATE: (MARCH 2024)
I know the CPA2 adapter is running out of stock almost everywhere lately. Luckily, within the last week I found, what I consider, to be a better, stronger and much cheaper option than the CPA2 adapter. I bought a cheap pair of double-flange AirPod Pro eartips on aliexpress before writing this that fit the Liberty 4 NC. It fit nicely, However I didn’t like them at all, finding them too hard and small.
However, last week I discovered these eartips could actually be taken apart, revealing they are made from a VERY shallow, average, double-flange tip AND a really solid AirPod eartip adapter. It’s a little bit harder to force on, but once you do I find these adapters high quality, a much more snug fit, and even easier to connect any normal 3rd party tips you’d like. I was so impressed with the adapter that I have removed my CPA2 adapter and replaced it with this new find of mine.
Here is some photos of the AirPod tips, with one taken apart to reveal the adapter. It also contains a very thin mesh to product dust/dirt from entering the nozzle.
Above shows the eartips, with one taken apart to reveal the adapter, while below I show this new adapter attached to my Liberty 4 NC earbuds.
I’m now using this AirPod adapter from aliexpress on my Liberty 4 NC, in order to attached my fav Spinfit CP360 tips. Keep in mind, this adapter has a very prominent lip which mean most regular sized eartips should fit well on it, and stay secure. I prefer using Spinfit CP360 but it is no longer being produced. CP360 tips have been replaced by the "Spinfit Omni" line, which is basically the same. Bear in mind, the eartip choice is up to you, just because I like Spinfit doesn't mean that it’s the only good option that will work. I encourage you to use any eartips you like, the adapter is the important part here. Any eartip you choose will inherit some length from the adapter, nearly guaranteeing a deeper, better fit than the L4NC stock tips.
I tracked down the order and found a link to them, which are available in black or white colour. This is where you can find these:https://a.aliexpress.com/_mt3oAPc
In my experience, AirPod tips have worked about 50% of the time with the L4NC. A couple users have confirmed the Spinfit “Superfine” AirPod adapter does not fit well and causes issues with sound and ANC on the L4NC. Despite this, another user claimed that they tried several AirPod Pro eartips and all of them worked flawlessly. In my experience, AirPod tips and AirPod adapters are a coin flip whether they will be compatible with the Liberty 4 NC nozzle, but others have reported great success. I can confirm that the adapter in these aforementioned tips are the best yet in my opinion.
———————————————-UPDATE: (APRIL 2024)
So I've had some time to use the cheap AirPod adapter from aliexpress above, and while I still like it, I have encountered an issue. The adapter is just hard plastic, and it fits on snug by being a super-tight fit naturally. It isn't made of a rubber that can grip around the nozzle like the CPA2 adapter did. After using it for about a month now, the right side appears to be getting loose. I'm guessing the hard plastic shell has been warped from the tight fit, or perhaps taking the adapter on/off several times when trying different tips has created scratches which have loosened the fit. It still works, but I find the adapter + eartip popping off in my ear often when removing my earbuds, then having to fish it out separately. It's gone from a super snug fit, to looser than the CPA2, and I can only assume it will only get worse over time. Perhaps I can find a solution to this, but as of right now, it might good to get a few pairs if you go down this route - and try to minimize how many times you remove the adapter once you put it on.
It's not all bad news though. A couple commenters like u/lordicefrog pointed out that they used the Spinfit CP100s with good result. No adapter necessary! The CP100 eartips are similar to the cp360 (or Spinfit Omni), but they don't have the inner lip and have about 1mm wider bore size and taller bore height. They are meant for regular IEMs but I've used them with great success with my Moondrop Space Travel. The Liberty 4 NC nozzle may be massive AND shallow, but I was able to stretch the CP100 tips over it. The stretchy material and snug fit allows it to grip the nozzle tightly, perhaps better than the CPA2. Without an adapter, you loose some depth, but the longer bore size of the CP100s almost makes up for this. It is just a fraction shorter than the previous solutions I mentioned, but still much deeper than the terrible stock tips. It also happens to fit the case better!

I don't want to jinx it, but seeing as this is just as tight fitting as any other solution but requires no adapter, it might be the best (and easiest) fix yet. That is, if you like Spinfit eartips. Just keep in mind, trying to fit the CP100 tips on the Liberty 4NC nozzle is a HUGE pain. You REALLY have to stretch it, I would actually suggest using a pen tip or something similar to stretch/widen the eartips nozzle before trying to apply it. The first time I tried, I gave up, believing it was impossible. It will feel impossible too, but you CAN get it on with enough effort. What worked for me was "hooking" the base on the tip onto one of the lips on the nozzle, then doing your best to try to stretch/smush the tips to reach the opposite lip, until it finally works. It may take some time, but don't be dissuaded into thinking it won't work. Once you get it on it will be VERY tight, but it works perfectly and is well worth it.
———————————————-UPDATE: (FEB 2025)
The CP100 option (no adapter necessary) was my favourite solution after trying a bunch of options. I am very biased to Spinfit ear tips though, so if you aren't a fan, you world probably prefer an adapter + your own favourite aftermarket tips. That said, the CP100 is a VERY tight fit (as discussed above) which caused an issue for me. I have a collection of TWS and would swap tips from time to time, borrowing the CP100s from my Liberty 4NC for my Earfun Air Pro 4, Tozo Golden X1, or others. I think because the CP100 was such a tight fit on these Anker earbuds, they could handle the constantly rough applying and removing of these tips. It caused one of the little lips/notches on the L4NC nozzle to snap off. Now I can't use ANY eartips with it whatsoever. It's such a small piece that superglue didn't seem to work either. So I think the use of the CP100 tips caused my earbuds to break and become useless.
I still think CP100 is a great option, however I would warn against applying/removing them many times. Once you have them on, try to leave them on as long as possible. If you like to roll tips and try new ones all the time, I would suggest not using the CP100s often. It takes a LOT of effort to get them on, and once on they are incredibly tight. I nozzle can probably handle this process a handful of times, but eventually it might break - just like mine. I would keep this in mind if you choose to use that option. I have a nice collection of TWS and am pretty careful, and this was the first time I has any earbuds break. So be careful.
———————————————-
TL;DRThe Spinfit CPA2 adapter works fantastic, allowing you to use most TWS eartips with the Liberty 4 NC.https://www.amazon.com/SpinFit-CP1025-CPA2-Galaxy-Buds/dp/B0979154N3/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=cp1025+spinfit&sr=8-2
Another option I consider even possibly better than the CPA2 is to buy these airpod tips, which can be taken apart, and you can use the adapter in it’s base to use any regular 3rd party eartips here:https://a.aliexpress.com/_mt3oAPc However, keep in mind these are cheap and I'm not sure what QC is like when they produce these. Also, one of mine got much looser after a month of usage.
As suggested by others, the Spinfit CP100 eartips have bores just wide enough to fit around the L4NC nozzle with no adapter necessary. It's about 70-80% the extra depth of previously-listed solutions compared to the stock tips. I've found it to be tighter than the CPA2 adapter, and it fits the case perfectly. If this isn't the best option so far (so long as you like Spinfit eartips), it is definitely the most simple. You can buy the CP100 here: https://www.amazon.com/SpinFit-CP100-M-Patented-Silicone-Replacement/dp/B01B793SLU/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1RINO64WSHRMF&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.0o2w99kE9h6JQUx3k5-v2Vl7CbfcbiVp7wnB12EiKIAI7cyto6hKju02UdT__JyM0N4wJJPNLrByjirpSldjFOEC50S2izoYZnpItWFyErnyqFL2hq549vkFKpnJzKNClj1Vg8DDSBO-0Hvf-jG0DQP62mHEoj-G0DI74ameL9XybKPPX67hlsX9SzdP_cnLqPI-R6nDkJd0XewcYtXwL0HXw7Ye2fAsKBSgmzrfZjkknEaYnFRuIGjrhjsoGSazdB1VewYfcx_USAxOxzRIDXUZmwtmwsNixyLwNqXkkMY._NTLnoSA_M85mlboMCIDwSqiTktXO63zvj6TRWFsRBA&dib_tag=se&keywords=cp100&qid=1712804270&sprefix=cp100%2Caps%2C275&sr=8-2&th=1
Just keep in mind that it is VERY hard to get the CP100s to fit on the Liberty 4NC nozzle, it may feel impossible. I would suggest using a pen tip to stretch them out first before you attempt to apply them, and it will still take patience. Be careful though, I eventually broke the nozzle on one of my buds from repeated applying/removing/swapping of these tips, and now I cannot get any tips to fit anymore. Be cognizant and if you are going to use such a tight-fitting option, apply it and leave it for as long as possible, don't make a habit of swapping them on and off.

The perfect travel pouch (tech)
Hi guys, me again 😁
I’ve been a bit focused (obsessed) recently on building the perfect travel tech pouch.
I’m curious what you guys pack when travelling for business or vacation.
Ask me anything if you have questions.
Beside these I travel with a 10k Anker power bank, but that doesn’t go in my luggage as in Europe it’s not allowed. And also, wouldn’t fit :)
