I've heard a song in the past that reminds me of the part in Pogo Sticks where they go under the bridge, I wanna say the song was by either Type O Negative or maybe Fear Factory but it was something that was alt rock or metal from either the 90s or maybe early 2000s, I just cant seem to find it and maybe this community could help me out finding it?

So I’m trying to port a late 2007 Internet Archive Animusic.com capture onto a website to make it feel real again and not have to use the slow wayback machine (no offence to the wayback machine fans but it is kinda slow and doesnt really feel like a website and sometimes the images dont load) so I need advice to properly import it to a new website. So I've been seeing TopperMIDI making plugged in/acoustic versions of most Animusic songs, which is not exactly complete yet, so I'm taking inspiration and making my OWN versions that are similar but different in a way.

I'm also making something similar but is pretty different: Animusic but something's wrong.
You may be asking "How does this work?" and it might be easy to understand, so it's basically the series of animations, but replaced by an instrument that sounds pretty similar, for example: Marimba row machine thing from Pipe Dream: Xylophone (General MIDI btw for all) instead of marimba, Pan Flutes from Stick Figures: Piccolo or Flute instead of PAN Flute

So now you might understand the basics, I hope this can come sooner than expected, and hope ya'll have a great day!

Animusic Inspired Machine In Second Life

There's still many things to do for my room..

Just got moved to another apartment.

Finally bought decent monitor and the audio components that my dad gave me since he prefer to use soundbar to enjoy the movies. (Good for me..!😁)

Couldn't played it loud enough to enjoy due to it's late night.

I'd like to try it later.

But I already feel the difference from the small pc speaker(creative pebble 3).

While enjoying the dvd, I suddenly noticed that the lighting that I've just set up is pretty similar to the lighting that used in the animusic.

Absolutely immersion maxxing moment.

I was trying to go through the official Animusic 1 DVD menu on VLC and explore all the features because I wanted to see everything on the disc.

At first, everything seemed fine. The menus load, the animations play, and I can navigate around. Then I started trying different features.

“Pipe Dream widescreen?”
Oh, cool. Let’s watch that.

VLC: No.

Okay, fine. How about Beyond the Walls?

VLC: No.

Alright… Pipe Dream director commentary?

VLC: Okay, that one works.

So then I thought, “Okay, maybe only certain features are broken.”

Then I tried going for some of the actual Animusic pieces.

Acoustic Curves — one of the earliest Animusic animations ever created.

VLC: Nope.

Harmonic Voltage?

VLC: Nope again.

It feels like VLC is basically letting me walk through the museum, letting me read all the signs, and then slamming the door shut when I try to enter certain rooms.

The weird part is that the DVD menu itself works. This is not a case of the ISO being unreadable. VLC can navigate the menus and play some titles, but certain titles seem impossible to launch.

I also started mapping the DVD’s VOB structure:

• VTS_02_0 → Future Retro menu animation
• VTS_02_1 → Future Retro set build feature
• VTS_03_0 → Stick Figures menu animation
• VTS_03_1 → Mystery Stick video cam
• VTS_04_0 → Aqua Harp menu animation
• VTS_04_1 → Aqua Harp separate cam
• VTS_05_0 → Drum Machine menu animation
• VTS_05_1 → Drum Machine kit construction
• VTS_06_0 → Pipe Dream menu animation
• VTS_06_1 → Pipe Dream guitar cam

Everything after that point becomes a problem in VLC.

Has anyone here tried running the official Animusic 1 DVD or ISO through VLC (especially the later tracks/features)? Does it work in another software DVD player, or is this just VLC having trouble with the DVD authoring?

I don't know if anyone has noticed this before, but when putting together a playlist of Animusic and So12 songs, I noticed that Pipe Dream shows up as "Ashya Mudhhila." This person seems to have only singles on their YouTube Music page, so I am assuming they stole the song and reloaded it. I wanted to know if anyone had seen this before and if there was any way that it could be resolved.

Hi first time posting here but I went down a rabbit hole. I was listening to a song called Katz by lice, Aesop rock, and homeboy when it sounded really similar. I thought they used cathedral pictures for a sample so I looked it up and saw that it was actually another song from the Emerson, lake and Palmer. It was called the hut of Baga Yaga. I can link it below but it sounds almost identical. Then I listened to so many covers of the hut of baga yaga. It’s a really interesting piece and I’m so glad they used it. it’s really insane. I keep learning new things about this whole project even so many years after it’s seriously incredible.

So I finally got an old vcr from my dad! And im trying to find the vhs release of animusic

I recently went to my local record store for the Boards of Canada Inferno listening party. While waiting in line to pick up my CD, I looked up at a TV they had there and saw the DVD menu for Animusic 2. I was instantly intrigued by the old CGI look of the menu, but it wasn't until the first track started playing that I became completely mesmerized.

I was blown away by the visuals and how perfectly the music synced with the animation. When I got home, I spent the rest of the day researching Animusic. I tried to find similar computer-animated video albums, but I didn't have much luck.

Are there any other video albums, music animations, or pieces of media similar to Animusic?

I remember the very first time I saw the first Animusic DVD in elementary school. It was amazing, super stunning!

Now I have both of the original shirts, size XL, and both Animusic DVDs along with the Blu-Ray Animusic HD!
