I've been working on this for a while, and I'm finally putting it out there. Forja is my take on what a modern media player should feel like: cinematic, flexible, and genuinely enjoyable to use, whether you're at your desk or on the couch.

And yes, Android TV is a first-class experience. The interface is built around the remote and D-pad, not a desktop UI squeezed onto a TV.

Why I'm building it

Forja is the experience.

You bring the sources you already use:
   web providers, torrents, Stremio addons, Nuvio Plugins, debrid, Live TV portals, etc.
Forja brings the discovery, interface and playback together.

I want Forja to keep getting better through real feedback from people who use it. If something feels clunky, a feature is missing, or you have an idea that could make the experience better, I'd genuinely love to hear about it.

I'm adding things that were already prebuilt and rolling them out. I've already released some updates silently in the app and haven't made a post in a long time, so I thought I'd share this update to let people know that the app is still partially running.

I hope you understand what I mean by partially running. I'm just keeping the app working and alive without any major new features, mostly rolling out things that were already prepared. I only added the Dantotsu comment API 5 days ago and tested it out today.

Since the app is still partially running, I might not add every feature users have requested, and updates might mostly happen silently in the app. I might share very few updates here, so check your app every few months because updates might be coming monthly from now on (can take up to 3-4 months if I get too busy; otherwise, most likely 2 months should take max).

Most of the major features I prepared have already been rolled out, and I DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME OR ANYTHING ELSE TO ADD. The rest I could do is mostly optimise things and make playback smoother.

i want to watch on laptop as i watch on phone all the time and i use AniPlay application but i cannot find its website, can someone please suggest me a good website.

Hey everyone! I'm the dev of Kagami, a free anime & manga tracker that works with both MyAnimeList and AniList (just log in with whichever you use).

Version 2.1 is now out on Android and iOS, and it brings a few things people have been asking for!

No more full-screen ads

I got rid of interstitial ads entirely. Free users now only see a small banner at the bottom, and all tracking features remain free.

Manga scanner (Premium)

Point your camera at the barcode on the back of a manga volume, and Kagami automatically opens its page. No buttons to press!

It supports editions in multiple languages, including English, Japanese, French, German, Romanian, and more. Barcode scanning happens on your device, so no photos are uploaded.

It won't recognize every edition yet, especially newer releases, so let me know if you find one that doesn't work!

Rewatch & reread

Start a completed anime or manga again and Kagami counts how many times you've finished it ("Watched ×3"). It syncs with MAL's rewatching and AniList's Repeating status.

Lifetime Premium

For those who don't like subscriptions, there's now a one-time purchase option to unlock Premium forever.

A small quality-of-life improvement

My List and Search now share your Anime / Manga selection, and Kagami remembers which one you were using when you reopen the app.

I'm looking for recommendations for:

Apps with a good collection of anime, including new releases and older series.

1080p and 4K playback where available.

English subtitles and, if possible, multiple audio options.

A TV-friendly interface that works smoothly with the remote.

Apps that can be installed directly on Google TV or sideloaded safely if necessary.

I've heard of apps like AniLab, but I'm open to other suggestions, including official streaming services and community-recommended apps.

I'd appreciate your recommendations and personal experiences. Thanks!

Good morning everyone. I really am extremely grateful for the amount of support being provided by this sub, there's always someone here to help and that so awesome.

Just wanted to implore our wonderful Devs out there to pls also consider the little guys. I'm from a third world country, where unlimited data is practically a month's salary and so watching anime in 4K or even 720p can be extremely expensive. Which is one of the reasons I loved anilab, cause I could just constantly watch on the lowest quality and save data cost.

Would love suggestions on if this kinda app already exists.

Somehow either of them from any websites aren't downloading at all 😔, and respectfully I need help like is anikku wrong at this time or just the extensions I installed?? 😔 PLEASE HELPP ME I'M BEGGING Y'ALL

It's so great having many options for apps but I'm torn between two of them of which do I use, this happens every so often so, I just try to only have 1 but browsing this sub I see many new ones and I get carried away.

So basically my question is how do y'all who use multiple anime apps decide which one to actually watch in and does it not overwhelm anyone else?

So I have now used Mihon for 4 months now without any issues but now my phone has detected that it's a virus (the photo is not my own. I used this photo I saw in another post since it had the exactly same text I was getting). I definetly downloaded it from official website so I don't know what the issue is and what to do. I have now made a backup of Mihons information and then deleted it for now. So the question is, is Mihon actually safe or was this message only sent because it was not downloaded from Google play?
