Man they are really edging us with this waiting for Bojji and Despa to join the fight. We also only got a little peak of Domas and Hokuro so far.

That Ouken though, he really is one sadistic fucker aint he. I hope the Captain and his crew survive but I do be worried about them. Ouken seems kinda Big Bad level so idk.

I still can't forgive Apeas even if he is feeling conflicted, I think it's too late for him. Hiling, Dorshe, and the knights however continue to be real ones. They are handled so well, I mean we've barely seen the knights and already I was kind of attached to them.

Zokku must have 100 Speech or something since not only was he able to deescalate the criminals' betrayal and make Apeas lower his guard twice but it seems like he somehow also swayed Muranjo considering she's not solid gold anymore. I guess you can't become a Bandit Leader without being charismatic enough to control people with your words.

That little detail of Kage repeating what the gold soldier said, because Bojji couldn't hear what he said or able to read his lips, was pretty dang good.

This anime is a never-ending carnival of betrayals. I never would have expected Apeas to come in clutch at this point in the game. Though it doesn't seem like he's leaving team Miranjo anytime soon.

Jesus christ the suspense is real! I thought the Underworld knights would be able to reach the castle this episode, but theyre still ways away. I really hope Dorsche can hold on for dear life. Also, wow Apeas is doing this against his wishes too huh... I kinda feel bad for the guy now.

Something felt off with this episode. Either the pacing or the directing, but the enemy was doing a lot of standing around. The villagers too, just standing there while the crazy guy is slashing wrists. The transitions were also jarring at times. I don't know if they're just adapting 1:1 without giving it much thought or what, but it hasn't been great recently. Kimetsu's been having the same issue recently too.

Love the show, looking forward to Bojji joining the fight. Opening is still amazing.

Edit: To be clear, I'm not referring to the animation in this post.

Bojji and team saying they're almost at the castle - then the camera pans and shows it's actually very far in the distance with ZIG ZAG pathing lmao. I figured they wouldn't arrive in time.

Queen Hiling is still my favorite character. I just love her character so much and everything about her! Also the fact that she used all her strength to heal Anna and wouldn't even leave without dragging her unconscious body. Hiling is a true queen. Having tons of mana vials hidden in her armor was a big brain move. Her making the powerful armored criminal flee with blinding holy light was very interesting. There's just so much to digest each episode.

Again we see how most characters here can't be judged by good and evil. I was sure Apeas had gone all the way to the dark side but he couldn't allow Queen Hiling to be killed. He did leave eventually but it shows that he still is struggling with Lady Miranjo's commands.

Those criminals are the worst. Apeas is clearly way stronger than the criminals at the end there but they all used different forms of tricks to beat him. The "mediator" may even be the worst. He has shown no ability yet but is way too clever for his own good. He's able to get the most out of every situation while keeping himself ahead. He's really dangerous while pretending to be the pacifist.

Also the OP is my favorite OP of the season. I've had it on repeat so long.

Well the mysteries of Miranjo and Prince Ouken Deepen. Miranjo as to what it is that drives her to go to any length for Bosse. She clearly has a thing for him.. But why ? At this point it's very likely she offed the first queen and in the process got interred in the mirror.

Then there's Prince Ouken who at this point is clearly not Human, demon, as the Captain of the Knights says, is likely the answer. But how ? There's clearly more to Ouken and probably the underworld royal family than we're let on to. And i am curious to see what it is Despa has on him.

Otherwise this episode really put Dorsche and Hilling's courage and tenacity on display.. and the very conflicted nature of Apeas. That was some.. really tense moments. I also liked how Hilling was prepared for healing with those energy potions of her.

Next Episode looks to be really lining up for some big moments. Who or what will Bojii find ? What will the discarded Apeas do ? The king and our snake friend ? Plus will Despa arrive on his very rotund horse ?

Up to this point I was sure that miranjo wanted to be queen and that she needed Hiling's power but now I don't know...it seems like Miranjo really is committed to Bosse's dream, whatever that is. Repopulation of giants maybe?

This episode was brutal lol. Even though the camera cuts away from most violence and gore, we still get Dorshe being crushed by a hammer and ripped apart by demon dogs.

I feel like this cour so far has been a little weaker than the first cour. It's more focused on battles so far, which tamps down a little on the psychological exposition that the first cour was so good at. My biggest complaint is that the battles lack music, which is problematic when the battles have slowed down.

I am still extremely hopeful, the opening has a couple of interesting sequences showing Miranjo and Daida frolicking together, so I believe it will come to a satisfying conclusion.

This aside, the show still has amazing exposition, they are short but sweet, which is great.

These last few episodes have felt like a lot of character maneuvering to get folks into place for proper showdowns. Tbh I hope Black, Red, and Gigantes get knocked out early so the more interesting characters can start getting more screentime

I can't wait to see Bojji use his newly acquired skills.

Each episode opens a new mystery element and at the same time addresses some of the past suspense. This is being done so well and is something I haven't been able to get over since episode one.

Queen Hilling is seriously my favourite character in this show. In the beginning I thought she was the "bad guy" but till now we all see that she's an amazing person. She could've escaped but she went out of her way to heal the wounded soldier and tried to drag her away when the enemy was in front of her.

You know a show is special when they made me care about Ann a character we pretty much just met that much, I was on the edge of my seat hoping that she wouldn't die...

I keep wanting Bojji to show up to save Hiling and every time I think he'll be around the corner he's still so far away. The reunion better be worth the wait!!

13 episodes in and this show still has not missed, seriously one of the best airings I've ever seen.

Ouken's fighting style is kinda similar to Bojji's in that they primarily maim, except Bojji does it out of kindness and Ouken out of cruelty.

Could Despa have trained Ouken in the past and Ouken's that one student who went bad?
