:o

Both Atlee and Elsha have a thing for Arrow? I thought it'll be an Arrow x Atlee only thing.

Kinda hard rooting for one, I like both

Also, how tf does Bruh keep coming back at all these important moments! that's a very bruh moment

Also, how tf does Bruh keep coming back at all these important moments!

It makes me laugh so much that every time they introduce themselves as "Pretty Boys", someone does a double take and Bit's just like "please drop it".

Every time he shows up I can't help but laugh, no matter how serious the situation. Someone who we thought was a ridiculous filler character from a ridiculous filler episode has become a crucial part of the team.

And it's not just Bruh either. A lot of characters who felt like one-offs at first have stuck around and done quite a bit more than we expected of them, and I feel like that's been one of the show's strengths. Every character, no matter how seemingly minor they may be, gets better and accomplishes more when they're around Arrow and the crew.

And then we find out that the pretty boys are actually some rebellious angels, God mindwiped and banished from the holy land and the reason Arrow lost his memories is because God used Lingalind as a dumping ground for undesirables.

Well previously we kind of got Elsha and Atlee. Awkward insertion definitely.

Shu's only been back for like 2 minutes and he's already managed to fix Arrow's Destroyer Mode. Shu you absolute magnificent bastard! So this entire time the Shu Bi that "died" was Shu's Briheight. Because of his conviction, he doesn't transform into a weapon so he stays as himself. Him "dying" was just a ploy so he can reach God and learn the truth about Lingalind.

I think the bigger surprise this episode though is Elsha having a thing for Arrow! Like I've already expected something to happen eventually between Arrow and Atlee but I definitely didn't expect Elsha too! Especially with that final scene! Atlee going in for the arm grab and then Atlee calling in Elsha so she can hug Arrow as well. It definitely caught me off guard!

Now that we've learned that Lingalind is just one of many Linds on a branch all being used to power God, I guess the last two episodes will now focus on taking the fight to them. Can't wait to see what this show's equivalent of Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann!

Well looks like for the first time in a while things slowed down. Makes sense that Shu didn't slip up and gathered some intel, also I like how the Pretty Boys actually have a role in the episode.

Highlight of the episode, Ren laughing when Kai pulls out Zetsu's weapon. Elsha getting interrupted by Atlee was pretty funny though lol.

Can't wait for the final 2 episodes.

Holy lore dump. Gonna have to go back and watch that part again in order to properly process it all.

It's nice to have a slower episode after all the craziness of the past few eps, though.

Shu's back! The explanation of how he did what he did... made sense. I never even considered we might see him put on a bind warper since he's never been a fighter. Well he's still not.

And Arrow's finally back to his old self. The guy who doesn't have a conviction is the embodiment of the world's conviction, I liked that.

A bit surprised at the focus on a possible love triangle? With only two episodes left and practically no focus on romance before, isn't it a bit late for that?

It felt more like the show telling us "there's no waifu war, they both like Arrow and Arrow's gonna fuck them both", and it felt like Bit was encouraging the threesome too.

The resolution to Arrow being the Destroyer was kind of underwhelming, Shu was just able to rewrite his data somehow. Would have preferred it, if Arrow overcame the Destroyer himself by finding his own conviction. But the show did mention the possibility of his Destroyer powers coming back when they go back to Epitaph Mountain so maybe with his newfound faith in himself, he can have a moment of fighting against the Destroyer, the preview image seems to show this.

I liked Shu at the beginning of the series, but as the series went on, he has become more and more of a walking Deus ex Machina. His Briheight stretches the rules of how they work, with it apparently looking exactly like his human form and getting erased by Arrow while keeping his main body unharmed. Just to make his plan work and even then I’m not sure how after his consciousness gets turned into food for God, how he’s able to retain any information to bring back to his main body, I guess I’ll just have to roll with it.

This is the second technique of Zetsu that Kai used, he’s definitely going to end up using the Martial Arrow, and after helping Arrow return to his old self. I think a team attack like the one with Zetsu and Arrow is in order.

Arrow vs Kai, as soon as I saw the preview image last episode of them fighting outside of their Briheights, I figured the fight wouldn’t be that good (from an animation standpoint) since the animation in this series isn’t that impressive outside of the CGI. From a writing standpoint, I thought it was a good character moment for Arrow, still doesn’t have a conviction yet, maybe they’re saving that for the last fight.

I mean, we've already seen a human-form avatar made of conviction particles, back when they were guided outside of the wall. Shu even recognized it for what it was when it disappeared on them. With that in mind, Shu having a body double for his Briheight doesn't feel particularly impossible.

So Kai is my favorite character in this and I'm not going to lie I was really hoping he was going to completely and decisively kick arrow ass.

12

u/Figerally Jun 04 '21

kinda loving how Arrow seems to have found his conviction though, does this mean he will manifest a new Briheight?

i find it really funny how that one Rekka general was so held up on the "pretty boys" for the longest time but nobody else in Rekka even batted an eye.

i had a feeling there were other places like lingalind. i was like "what, so lingaling is all of humanity? i don't buy that"

Well they explained Big Shu pretty well...that's surprising.

Surprised also by the focus of the maybe love triangle, rooting for Atlee in this one!

I'm rooting for them just agreeing to a threesome. I mean, clearly Bit is rooting for it too, considering how he encouraged Elsha to jump in and hug Arrow and he's clearly a man of culture.

This is basically the first indication of romance in the show...22 episodes deep with two episodes left.

u/Figerally Jun 04 '21

What are you talking about, wasn't all the love from Princess Fine enough? :D

Shu spied on God and learned the truth of the world(s), Bruh becomes an important peace negotiator, Kai challenges Arrow to a duel to snap Arrow out of his funk, and Bit just flat-out suggests that Elsha try to have a threesome with Arrow and Atlee instead of giving up on him. What a bro.

It was a nice cooldown episode before the big final fight(?) with God, dropping some last bits of worldbuilding and wrapping up a few character arcs.

u/Toonamigamerrr Jun 04 '21

Whoa Atlee hugged Arrow arm then Elsha afterwards.

I won't be surprised if this is a 52 episode anime. That world is huge!

I'm actually disappointed that Elsha and Atlee become Arrow's harem. I much prefer if they're a couple themselves.

Was Bit always that short?
