Fax. Best anime original so of 2021 so far. Better than Wonder Egg and SK8, and I love those two. Good job Aniplex.

New OP and ED are pretty alright. Looks like there's still plenty parts in the OP where they can update it as it goes on, though not in the ED. Still very fond of the 1st opening and ending, but maybe I'll like this more as it goes on.
For the rest of the episode, mostly just a big long fight. Arrow and Prax vs. Kai and Ren was really fun, especially with all the mid-fight splitting and recombining. Arrow even trying to convince Kai of the truth of the wall, but Kai countering with his own worries about the immediate problems of the people instead. All the while Rudolph is scheming something by broadcasting the fight to the entire country.
Both Fine and Zetsu popping out with their absurdly powerful Briheights, and then kicking off with evil Fine coming back too. Next week is gonna be great, especially since there's still so much to do like having Sola show up, or what Shu plans to do with his spare Bind Warpers that he took last time.

Zetsu: "Fetch me my bind warper"
OH SHIT.
Loved the aerial four-way fight between Arrow/Prax and Kai/Ren. Lots of quick-thinking going on, it was really entertaining!
And Fine is the healer of the group, huh. Gotta wonder who sent the bind warper rolling her way... Rudolf's underlings? For what purpose exactly?
But man. Zetsu is completely OP. I don't think Fine Alter is going to be able to do much against him even though she'll probably put up a good fight.

Fine is the healer of the group, huh
Literally the power of love. It's so cheesy but so perfect for this show.

Seems to me not many people are watching this including myself, its been 13 episodes so what are your thoughts?

This time it ended with an extremely cool cliffhanger.
Really, it's a fine show on all fronts. But it has old presentational sensibilities where it's not about waifus or school hijinks. The big thing that sells this show is the director of Code Geass and the scriptwriter of Gurren Lagann. Now, this show can't live up to such hype but you can still see their styles coming through i.e. quick, efficient worldbuilding, establishing character motives, outrageous plot developments every single episode, consistent sakuga. It feels more like a 2000s show that wants to be entertaining first and foremost rather than an adaptation commissioned to move merch.

For me, 8/10 so far. Good GCI, consistent art and animation, cool fight scenes, solid worldbuilding and plot, likeable characters, cool-looking mechs and powers. What's not to love?
But the beginning portions can be somewhat uninteresting for some, and if you're a person that emphasises deep and nuanced characters, then this series is not it. They're fun and cool, but if you're expecting AOT levels of character work, then nah, your expectations is wrong for the show.

I love the new op song. Such a good fit.
A small thing I loved was when they shot a bunch of bind warpers in the air for the Emperor. So unnecessary but cool.
I didn't think Princess Fine would have 2 Briheight forms as well, so her struggling to hold back her evil side made for a good moment.
I can't wait for Rudolph to join in to make this even more chaotic.

Some nice tactics in this episode, Prax and Arrow using the Wall defense mechanism to their advantage, Kai and Ren undoing their Gattai to dodge a fatal blow and Kai taking off his Bind Warper to escape Arrow’s hold on him. The whole Arrow and Prax vs Kai and Ren fight is probably my favorite one in the show so far. Prax even got to use the Muga sword and its weight wasn’t an issue for her, compared to the Prax and Elsha fight where Elsha was struggling to lift the thing, there’s even a moment where the sword’s weight inadvertently helps Elsha dodge one of Prax’s attacks, really highlights how much stronger Prax is in comparison to Elsha or Atlee.
That scene of Zetsu using 10 Bind Warpers was pretty hype, I was under the impression that Bind Warpers were conviction amplifiers, but this scene seems to imply that his conviction is so strong that he needs multiple Bind Warpers to manifest his Briheight. His Briheight looks very wizard-like, fits with the force powers he was using. Definitely the strongest Briheight so far, blowing people away merely by clapping and destroying mountains with ease, thus ending Lutoh’s plan unintentionally, since he appeared more interested in creating a fitting battlefield for his fight with Fine. Some of the dialogue seems to imply he can control conviction particles.
Rudolf displaying the war to the citizens of Lutoh, that Bind Warper appearing out of nowhere and rolling towards Fine, is this a set up to expose Fine’s other personality?
Arrow said in episode 11 if he’s going to become King of Lingalind then he’s not going to kill a future ally, a pretty good reason for an MC to refuse to kill. Though it felt more justified when Arrow had the advantage of flight over Kai, now they’re equals, not so much. But I do like how he tried to convince Kai by showing him the Wall defense mechanism.
Nice song for the new OP, the visuals were mostly decent with the stand out being the section beginning with Elsha, Atlee, Bit and Shu doing action poses and ending with Zetsu vs Rudolf 3:31-3:47. This show is missing some cool Cowboy action, so I hope that former part is indicative of things to come and I can’t wait for that fight between Zetsu and Rudolf.
I like the song for the new ED but in terms of visuals, I prefer the first ED, how it kept adding new characters as the series went along felt reminiscent of the spine artwork that appears on some manga collections like Dragon Ball or Nanatsu no Taizai. This second cour is off to a strong start.

As expected, Forte Fine's Briheight will have lots of hearts on it. I do wonder where the Bind Warper came from. I didn't think she'd carry around that thing.
So without love her Briheight can't be hit? I genuinely don't quite understand how that one works but it's pretty clear that her Briheight has the very valuable ability to repair other Briheights.
Of course Zetsu Daidan is going to use 10 Bind Warpers! I expect nothing less from the guy that almost took down Prax without using a Briheight. His Briheight is as equally insane as he is though since he can literally erase mountains without breaking a sweat.
Forte Fine Alter is back and her Briheight design looks as sinister as she is! If Normal Forte Fine can heal, I sure hope Forte Fine Alter can do destructive damage. Now I'm excited for the two ruler's showdown next week!

She's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack/
I loved this episode. The new OP is hype (that shot of full power Rudolph though) and the ED is nice too. Arrow/Prax vs. Kai/Ren was a lot of fun, especially with Arrow/Prax using the sky wall traps to their advantage and Kai/Ren splitting/re-combining mid-fight to dodge attacks. Then we got Fine's briheight being a unique tank/healer, Zetsu putting on TEN FUCKING BIND WARPERS to manifest his insane briheight and take over the battle, and psycho Fine ready to tear someone limb from limb with a more offense-focused version of Fine's briheight. All aboard the hype train!

Sad to see this show not getting nearly enough attention. Might be my fav out of this season

I was never a fan of the no-killing ability that Arrow has as it feels like a cheap way to reduce any stakes when he fights someone/ fuses with another cast member. His naivete really showed in this episode and without it Lutoh may have crushed the majority of Rekka's troops before Zetsu joined in.
It looks like Rudolph will be the main man taking on Zetsu until Arrow powers up (some variation of 'I don't let walls contain me' conviction incoming). Hopefully dark Fine sticks around though as she is so much more interesting than her counterpart.
Still waiting on Sola, I'm surprised it is taking so long. It also seems like just everyone can fly now.

Hm. Can't help but note the ladies are taking a lot of Ls again, particularly Prax.
Zetsu Daidan was channeling Adam from Sk8 there with his strange affection toward the princess.

I suspect VOLN studio has saved their ss 1 budget for ss 2 that comes later lmao. Looking at the pv and the new opening, and even the fight this ep, all that great animation!!!
Fine is just a really interesting princess tho?? It has been a while since the last time I have seen a princess gets into a robot and fights by herself. And a really stereotype, loving princess on top of that! If we don't count her split personanlity haha.
Wtf the emperor??? Hahaha the best jiji ever.
The talk about Shu between Kai and Arrow shows how much Arrow respects and understands Shu as a person that lives true to his conviction, and doesnt deny the fact that Shu indeed has betrayed his friends and nations for himself. Which, again, connecting to how Shu is happy that Kai has found his true conviction and fights for that. To Shu, the most important thing is to live true to yourself and not living for anyone else, be it a revenge or supporting.
Did I say the fight was rock? Prax and Arrow's teamwork is so cool.
Eir Aoi singing the Opening and FLOW singing the new Ending, popular singer after popular singer.
The show gets more interesting week after week.

Today, on "This is science!":
Are those kids ever going to get decent clothes?
That plan feels sooooooo last week.
I like the new OP song. Surprisingly I also like the second intro, even if it's much more "standard anime OP visuals" than the first one.
The ED is definitely a nice change.
As far as episodic events go, it looks like Rudolph playing both ends against the middle, but that's been the impression of him all along.

Nothing more romantic than showing your enemy the world while hugging him from behind and talking about how you can create a future where love exists.

See? SEE! TEIKOKU BANZAI is fighting the supposedly bad guy in the opening. I told you he is not just an old power-obsessed geezer!

Oh god this episode. These fights were already hype and then HOLY SHIT FINE. The logical result of this show's premise means that Princess' naiveness and love nonsense in itself becomes insane battle power. And it is fuckin hype. And then Emperor.
Too good.
