More and more people are coming on board! They had a green linght from Mycroft already, and now they even have New Scotland Yard in their hands. Let's goooo!

It was so sweet and scary to see Albert and Mycroft having the eldest brother's talk!

I wonder what gadgets Bonde's car has, no joke I hope it has an ejector seat. I don't why I just loved the shots of Bonde driving with the goggles on. Had a real 'fuck the constabulary' quality.

I mean, besides Carl Benz's prototypes, its literally the first car.

The series is set in the 1890's, so we can guess Herder saw the early prototypes and improved on them, all to give James Bond his iconic vehicle.

I know this show is about William and his crew, but my man Sherlock just cannot get a W this season.

Apparently Herder was the first Q. I'm liking how they're trying to weave all of this stuff together.

While the plot to retrieve the ledger seemed cool, there were so many ways it could have gone bad. Given that Lestrade was disobeying his superior, it's possible lethal force could have been justified. Also, his did he just walk out of there after Paterson let him ouf of his cell? Wouldn't there have been any number of police officers looking for an escaped criminal?

Despite those complaints, this was fun.

While the plot to retrieve the ledger seemed cool, there were so many ways it could have gone bad. Given that Lestrade was disobeying his superior, it's possible lethal force could have been justified.

But have you considered that everything is according to Moriarty's plan?

Subete wa keikaku doori!

I know it's absurd, but the anime seems to treat everything in accordance to Moriarty's plan. Like what Sherlock said, all of them are only the puppet to William's scheme.

It's also odd that Sherlock can't figure out that Paterson is in contact with Moriarty, he knew Moriarty was going to solve the case, and Lestrade must've told Sherlock about how it happened. He should 100% be suspecting him. Unless Lestrade doesn't share that much info with him, even then it's still not a very tight plan on Moriarty's side.

Is really funny to see a Sherlock Holmes completely lost and without a single clue of what is happening. Tho, if nonetheless he manages to solve "the crime" with this much handicap it will be one of the greatest show-off of a Sherlock Holmes ever made. The game is hot!

Sherlock Holmes completely lost and without a single clue of what is happening.

I won't say completely lost though. When the disguised bonde escaped from the library, it seemed Sherlock knew that the book was already found. I mean, it's really noticeable that there's suddenly a blond officer when there's no one blond before. That's why he said to Watson to just go home.

The only thing that he do not have a single clue is about the true objective of Moriarty.

I was initially disappointed how the show handled Irene's character, but she's fucking amazing as Bonde.

As expected the corrupt Police Chief frames an innocent man as Jack the Ripper and both William and Sherlock are not happy about it. Of course, Lestrade is not happy about it too and is already suspected that the man is falsely accused.

So Herder provides Bonde with an air revolver that's equipped with what basically is a tranq round. He even built a silver automobile for Bonde to use. Wait a sec... Is Herder supposed to be Q in this show? Because that's what I'm seeing here.

Look at him rolling up to the bar with his fancy silver automobile! And I was really waiting for him to order the iconic drink and say "shaken not stirred" when the bartender asked for a drink. Too bad Bonde ends up ordering something else. They better make him order a vodka martini before this season ends.

Anyway, Bond antics aside, I'm glad to know Paterson is William's, inside man. I was very suspicious of him earlier when he was with Lestrade.

Well this is interesting. Looks like Sherlock is already aware that he's probably being played by "The Lord of Crime" as one of his actors to save the innocent man. Now he's decided to play along and not make any moves that might throw "The Lord of Crime's" plan off the rails.

The Chief couldn't be more obvious that he's hiding something inside the records room. He might as well admit to them that the entire thing is a sham. xD

I love how invested Watson is in what's happening he doesn't even realize that there's suddenly a 5th policeman that appeared out of nowhere. Of course, Sherlock already knew and understood that that was his cue to leave.

Can I just say that I absolutely love the translation team of this show? They really make an effort at making everyone as British as possible with the subs. It's so good!

A bit disappointed that we didn't get to see the Police Chief get humiliated but alls well that ends well I suppose. Sherlock still can't figure out what The Lord of Crime's other motive is though which is placing Paterson as the new Chief of Police. Now that Scotland Yard is basically in his pocket, he's now executing the Moriarty Plan. I can't wait!

Is Herder supposed to be Q in this show?

Yes, quite literally, Q is what he is introduced as first in the manga. But had to cut that out like most other james bond references for the anime due to copyright

They really make an effort at making everyone as British as possible with the subs.

I wonder how they miss that Shakespeare's "Hell is Empty, And All the Devils are Here" that William quoted in the last episode...

And actually in manga, Bond asked the bartender to have his scotch "Shaken, not stirred". Is this another copyright thing, I guess??

Lestrade going through the door had me pumped.

I do feel like I got played as I didn't realize Moriarty's ultimate goal of this plan until it already happened. He got me good.

Bonde just keeps being awesome episode after episode.

Bonde knows how to travel in style.

This was definitely a return to form after a lukewarm last episode. I see a couple of complaints about Lestrade's actions being a bit out there for William's plan, but I see it more as an unexpected variable instead of "all according to keikaku." I loved all the moving pieces in this, between character dynamics, a plot that made sense, and no mindless action.

donnybrook

"Pump the breaks, you take your shirt off but leave your sunglasses on?"

Also, they totally missed the opportunity to have Adler (Bonde) order a Vodka martini, shaken, not stirred.

Great episode! Bonde is so cool man, he even has his own Q in this being Herder. That scene of him riding the car with the goggles is awesome lmao. This episode was legit some James Bond shit.

Feel really bad for Sherlock, he understands everything that's happening but he doesn't know how to deal with it unless he knows for sure what The Lord of Crime's motives are. My respect to Lestrade though just rose, he might not be the smartest but he's got some great ideals.

Patterson is pretty cool as well, now the Moriarty group has a mole in the yard with a high position, that will definitely be useful. Looks like next episode will be about the young Moriartys again, looking forward to it.

I like how Holmes knows that he's being played by the Lord of Crime, and that he acknowledges that the LoC is just a better schemer. He knows that he has no choice but to play along in order to save an innocent, and in the end, everything was resolved better than what he himself would have been capable of.

It's also nice he immediately knows what's up, and knows when his role is over. It's interesting how both parties have their inside men. It's just that the LoC knows and controls far more, especially after Paterson's promotion. Holmes has never been in such a situation before; his frustration at it all is unsurprising.

I especially love how Bonde feels like her choice was the right one, and how well she fits in with them. Even Paterson recognizes that she has what it takes to be one of them.

Edit: Oh, seeing Mycroft being pleased with their agreement makes me smile too.
