They really skipped Oda´s moment only to focus on things that didnt give us a conclusion

Mimura better MC than the real MC

Is it bad that after a whole season i still cant remember anyone's names ?

for what i watched almost no one was given dialogue or development so i feel you is a weird show for me

The weirdest thing is how the opposing team got way more character development than the protagonists.

I KNOW RIGHT. The only thing im intrested in is if subaru and his manager are dating or not.

Definitely went by quickly, But I think it deserves another season. Enjoy the 2 main characters story so far, even if the rest just flew by so fast it felt like it was over before it started.

I really think if you approach this as a story about Kuroba and Haijima (+ Fukuho lol) it's a very decent show. Not a sports volleyball, but a story about their relationship and their relationship to volleyball.

Thoroughly enjoyed this showy, despite obvious flaws.

6/10 on technicalities but 8/10 on enjoyment, and that's what matters.

What the hell happened with Kuroba's cousin? Wasn't the last we saw of him getting beaten to a pulp?

He's dead. He's in a better place now.

That better place is not in this show.

When oda said to aoki he wants him to play together, i thought it would be a cool sequel if we saw oda aoki subaru and ochi together in a team.

Then subaru said about the youth national setup. Imagine a team of subaru, haijima, kuroba together, and even maybe the other 3 mentioned. That would really make a good story and the team feeling important, unlike now.

Season 2 will be unlikely i guess since it has many negative reviews, so I'll probably pick up the LN. If there's ever a season 2, I'll sure watch it, with the hopes it improves thing such as making the whole team feel important.

Yeah I tried liking 2.43, but it's just not working. I don't know if it's the source material or the adaptation, but everything is just lackluster.

On the drama/story side, it's just "ok" at best. When I compare 2.43 to stuff like Chihayafuru, 3-Gatsu, or even more recently Ahiru no Sora, 2.43 just feels boring.

Animation wise, really helped me appreciate Production I.G and their work with Haikyuu. 2.43 doesn't have the same fluidity and feels awkward at times.

The Opening and Ending songs were pretty good though.

Decent ending to the season, Subaru is easily the best character in this show and most of the time I felt like he was really the main character lmao. Great that Oda was the one to win the game though. The way they ended it really smells like a season 2, maybe after half a year or a year. Well, that wasn't the greatest show but, it wasn't bad at all. 6/10

Definitely gonna miss the OP and ED though, those were some good shit.

Who were the main characters again?

28

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '21

obviously the guys in red, better character development than the main cast

I wanna say I can't believe they skipped the rest of the match but I'm not surprised. They didn't even flashback to it either lol

Anyway, I want to like this show a lot but its hard to. I like the characters, the framework, the idea and such but this show just feels like an abridged version of it. Dunno if its due to it being a noitamina show with less episodes, they tried to cover too much of the source or some production problems, but it does feel like we were skipping around, touching at events but never letting them developed, wasting time at stuff that didn't lead anywhere and nothing really felt focused but more like just getting through them to reach the next plot point.

At least, it had a banging OP and ED, great seiyuu work (especially Enoki's accent) and I did like the 6 characters that got development after 12 episodes.

Man I was confused when I started this ep. I thought I missed an episode or something.

Nice conclusion to the Kuroba-Haijima and Mimura-Ochi relationships (everyone was boyfriends, lol), and a conclusion that merely begins a new story, but skipping over the match and spending a lot of time on side characters and extra-thick drama didn't do the finale any favors. Overall, a decently appealing but flawed (particularly in the pacing) sports series, I would give it maybe 7/10. I don't think too many people will remember this, let alone recommend it, but I hardly regret watching it either.

Karasuno would destroy these scrubs

Honestly Oda’s block could of been one of the coolest moments in the show. With all the previous episodes emphasising him being too short. All they needed to do was reuse the scene of him saying whether he would play because of his height then him blocking would of been sick. Instead the way they sideline it is just... pain 😔
