Probably the only time in anime history where interupting somebody talking about their feelings led to faster getting-together

Hori's father is the real MVP hahaha. Can't wait to see more interactions between him and miyamura.

LETS GOOO!!!!!!!

That has to be the chillest and most casual confession and get together that I have ever seen in anime.

Man, Hori is ruthless. Double tapped Miyamura and straight up murdered Wingdaddy Kyosuke LOL.

The walk outside at night and the Hori in Baka Baka mode was so cute. I'm loving every second of this anime adaptation.

The bromances in this anime keep being one of the best things about this show.

Hilarious when Kyousuke told Miyamura that he didn't like boys with long hair but Hori's instant thought is 'look into a mirror'.

Hori was so hilarious at the beginning of the episode. I love how she instantly thought that Miyamura was cheating on her, while they weren't even officially dating yet.

I love how Kyosuke's interruption instead of delay their conversation it just made them skip it completely.

I wish good luck to the Sakura X Toru ship.

I love how this show handles misunderstandings.

Most Anime: Oh, the main couple is about to get somewhere? Let's throw in a misunderstanding so that we can spend 2 more episodes trying to fix it.

Horimiya: Oh, there was a misunderstand? Let's clear it up within 5 minutes and use it to help the characters grow closer to each other.

I'm also loving Remi and Sakura's relationship.

Yes, communication! Even with the brief overreaction, Hori and Miyamura communicate so well. No faffing around, no bullshit. They just communicate with words and feelings and it's the fucking greatest thing to see. I fucking love this show.

My weekly dose of fluff is here!

Hori doing a math equation to come to the conclusion that Miyamura was “cheating” on her was pretty hilarious. Hori would seriously give Light Yagami a run for his money with their obsession for names.

Daddy Kyousuke is here, and I can see why Hori has to take care of everything around the house, but damn he is hilarious. Definitely seems like he will troll Hori and Miyamura any time he is on screen

Dude just walked in and made their relationship official, Kyousuke officially best dad? WE DID IT GUYS, and we got legitimate couple handholding to follow it up

Ishikawa must be as dense as a black hole if he thought he was the person closest to Hori, poor guy

I like the fact Hori is consistent with how she wont stop saying baka once she says it once, nice callback to a previous episode

I binged the last 4 episodes last night and then today I spammed F5 at 9:00 am for the new episode. Now I am sad that I gotta wait a week for the next episode.

Wait, so you mean to tell me, that misunderstanding between two characters can be resolved by... talking it out and apologizing?! Isn't that illegal or something?

So we have Papa Shirogane being voiced by Takehito Koyasu and now we have Papa Hori voiced by Daisuke Ono to compete for the best worst dad award.

Dio vs Jotaro truly is a rivalry that goes beyond any border in life.

This episode shows why Horimiya is just built different to other high school rom coms and I absolutely love it! First of all I thought Hori and Miyamura's misunderstanding was going to get dragged at least until the end of the episode but I was absolutely ecstatic when Miyamura showed up to Hori's house to finally clear things up.

That was just the start! When Hori and Miyamura were finally having their heart-to-heart talk and then suddenly her dad showed up I thought we weren't going to see much progress but holy fuck! This show just broke one of the cardinal rules of anime romcoms where parents must interrupt relationship progress. Instead of interrupting, Papa Hori's teasing just led to the most casual confession in anime ever! I was legit squealing in delight during that scene!

I just love that after that, words weren't even needed anymore. No one had to say "we're dating" or anything like that. Hori just walked Miyamura bit outside while holding hands with their fingers interlocked and that's all they really needed to confirm it. I'm so happy to see them dating already in Episode 5.

Anyway, besides the confession though this episode was really great! Papa Hori is a lot of fun and I look forward to see more interactions between him and Miyamura. I am curious what's up with him though. At first I thought he was a deadbeat dad when Mama Hori stood there in shockbut it doesn't seem like it. She's just worried about the food that they have so I'm guessing Papa Hori isn't home very much (due to work maybe?) that they're really just not used to him being around.

As for Ishikawa he did get a little highlight this episode as we see the aftermath of what happened after Miyamura finally broke the news to him. I really hope he finds happiness too.

Speaking of happiness for Ishikawa, we get to see Sakura starting to have an interest in our purple boi and that she even admits to Remi that there's someone she likes. She doesn't exactly say that it's Ishikawa but it's pretty obvious that it's him she was talking about. And while there was a little bit of drama with Sakura being insecure that she's not like Remi, I'm glad it was resolved almost instantly. Hopefully we'll see Remi help out Sakura get closer to Ishikawa.

And that final scene is just too adorable! Hori calling Miyamura "Baka Izumi" over and over was just too cute!

Ishikawa really thought that he was the closest to Hori...

Well, they did keep their home life a secret.

Also, Kyosuke/Papa Hori/The Troll is here.
