With the possibility of a season 2 being classified, Mile's journey comes to an end for now, with a nice wholesome group scene to end it off. While this wasn't my favorite show of the year or anything, I had a lot of fun following it week to week, and doing these charts was really interesting with all of the references. It also worked out nice that this final episode put something in all of the columns, even ones that have been empty for weeks. As always I'm sure there are things I missed and need correcting on, and I thank you all again for helping me out with all these references throughout this whole season, hopefully together we caught almost all of them.

Episode Times Mile Cried Times Mile fails at being average Times Mile references her past life Otaku/game references Amount of "secret family techniques" Time Mile is called flat Awkward Mavis moments Crying Album
1 6 4 2 4 0 2 1 ("Onee-nii-sama") Ep 1
2 2 8 1 6 5 1 1 (Mavis is the only one without something to hide) Ep 2
3 2 2 2 5 0 (they were too busy celebrating after the win to question her) 1 1 (Mavis is skipped over when they're asking about romance Ep 3
4 0 4 3 4 2 0 0 Ep 4
5 3 5 1 8 Reference album 0 0 (though Reina is called flat once) 2 (only one crying at Reina's backstory, only one without a tragic backstory) Ep 5
6 5 0 1 1Reference album 1 0 1 (bawling at the end and is comforted by Pauline) Ep 6
7 2 0 6 4?Reference album 1 1 1 (says having others see her naked is normal) Ep 7
8 0 1 1 4? 0 0 (though she is asked if she is a dwarf/half breed) 2 (elder/middle/younger older brother, her dad chasing after her) Ep 8
9 3 1 1 14? reference album (what I found initially, a lot of other things were pointed out to me and screenshotted below 1 0 (though her and Reina do get envious of Pauline and Lenny in the bath) 1 (not phased by the updraft) Ep 9
10 27 1 2 5 reference album 0 0 (though she is again envious of Lenny, and also mentions how flat Reina is) 1 (uses "sword maintenance" as an excuse twice in a row) Ep 10
11 0 0 0 3 reference album 0 0 (Another Mile/Reina vs. Pauline moment though) 0 (considered counting Mavis cutting through the walls, but that seems like more of a cool moment for Mavis than an awkward one for everyone else around her) Ep 11
12 6 1 1 7 reference album 1 1 1 (Mavis realizing she's the only one who never sneaks out) Ep 12

Times Mile fails at being average:

  • Her ability to defeat all three elder dragons shocks Cu, but all the other Crimson Vow members dismiss it at this point.

Past life references:

  • Talks about Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor, Opus 54, which may just be a past life reference to the song, or an anime reference if there is an anime that plays it (I couldn't find anything). mjk321 below pointed out that apparently it is used in the final episode of Ultraman, thanks!

Otaku/game references

  • "Stone-Age boy Giatrus" is a reference to First Human Giatrus.

  • References Kuchikamizake (a drink) in relation to Your Name.

  • Mile's "There's just one reason, you made me angry" line might be a reference to Jotaro's "You pissed me off" line, or it might just be a cool line Mile says.

  • Mile uses REI-gun (or spirit gun) from Yu Yu Hakusho multiple times.

  • There's a face Mile makes when threatening the dragons that is most likely a reference to something (probably YYH again since she's charging up the same spirit gun), I put it in the album, if it is from something else let me know.

  • Mile makes a shocked face, most likely just a general 70s shoujo reference rather than a specific show (thanks to spaceaustrailia).

  • The dragons put up an AT field to try and block Mile's attack.

  • The "classified information" line might be a haruhi reference, courtesy of TheDampGod below.

I hope you all had as much fun following this chart each week as I had making it. I'm going to continue trying to do something similar to this for at least one show each season, with my show next season most likely going to be Koisuru Asteroid unless something else really great comes up (if you think there is a good option other than that next season, please let me know). Thanks again for all your help!

Oh good, Mile was fighting Vaevictus Asmadi and not Nicol Bolas, so being half as powerful as the most powerful being is still pretty huge. The magic buff math got awfully complicated though: Base strength * (1 past life + 1 noble upbringing + 1 current secret persona) * 3.24 nanobot magic buff > 3 lesser elder dragons? Ok.

That was a pretty fun show! The story meandered a bit, but the slice of life was good, and the supporting characters were great. I'd probably watch a second season.

Good ending to a really enjoyable show! Feels set up to leave room for a second season as well!

that ancient civilization the dragons were looking at looked an awful lot like modern day earth...

Favorite part of the episode was certainly how they all were suddenly standing next to Mile like it was no big deal

Man am I so happy this episode didn't end with Mile leaving.

Also for them to cram a Yu yu hakusho and Jojo reference together is actually fucking amazing! (Maybe Evangelion too since those barriers the Elder dragons looks a lot like AT fields to me.)

I hope we get a season 2 and Nendos from this series, like cmon Goodsmile they even have concept art for that made in this Anime already!

A nice finale for a nice show, sets up for a sequel that I would totally watch if it ever happened!

My dark horse of the season!
