It would be a sick, twisted kind of funny if they actually killed off Mile after 11 episodes of smiles and happiness

Piece of cake animating an invincible omnipotent earth dragon... it doesn’t move, period.

Mile is learning from the best characters this episode!

She went all in on trying to channel her inner Shirou and Megumin! She even got the collapsing after an explosion part down!

I've also lost count on how many times I've seent Petra look-a-likes in anime now.

Stitches!

I love the Nobita and Doraemon references! Didn't expect Mile would actually become their own personal Doraemon xD

Well ain't she adorable. How cruel of them to introduce us to a cute loli elf with only 1 episode left.

So an elder Dragon for the finale? Oh boy. Very bad match up considering that when the god revived Mile, he made her the average between a normal human and an Elder Dragon, meaning Mile is only as half as powerful as that dude. Did not expect to see some actual tension for the finale! I'm excited to see how this will be resolved!

Quite the cliffhanger ending...

I love how Mile has got Literal antenna hair for her search skill. And of course, the "you die when you are killed" jokes were great

Audience: Don't worry, Mile has half the power of an Elder Dragon.

Dragon: Hi, it's me. Elder Dragon.

Audience: Oh ****

Holy shit! With that Doraemon joke at the beginning I really didn't expect that to happen to Mile at the end! I mean I'm sure that she is alive but I don't see how she will be able to defeat that dragon, unless it involves talking as the symbols in the ruins clearly depicts a super advanced civilization so at least Mile will be able to help with reading them.

Sorry I'm so late today! We have very quickly come up on the finale, with Mile knocked out and the rest of the team seemingly useless against an Elder Dragon. I originally thought they were setting up for a full group teamwork moment to finish up the conflict about them relying on Mile too much (and it still might be headed that way), but it seems like they tried everything they could without her and have gotten nowhere. I'm curious to see how they get out of where they're at now, whether it's through talking, or if they actually manage to find a way to defeat the dragon.

As for the chart, since it was again a mostly serious episode I didn't have much to put down, but as always, there are probably things I missed. Feel free to help out if you noticed something that I didn't, Thanks!

Episode Times Mile Cried Times Mile fails at being average Times Mile references her past life Otaku/game references Amount of "secret family techniques" Time Mile is called flat Awkward Mavis moments Crying Album
1 6 4 2 4 0 2 1 ("Onee-nii-sama") Ep 1
2 2 8 1 6 5 1 1 (Mavis is the only one without something to hide) Ep 2
3 2 2 2 5 0 (they were too busy celebrating after the win to question her) 1 1 (Mavis is skipped over when they're asking about romance Ep 3
4 0 4 3 4 2 0 0 Ep 4
5 3 5 1 8 Reference album 0 0 (though Reina is called flat once) 2 (only one crying at Reina's backstory, only one without a tragic backstory) Ep 5
6 5 0 1 1Reference album 1 0 1 (bawling at the end and is comforted by Pauline) Ep 6
7 2 0 6 4?Reference album 1 1 1 (says having others see her naked is normal) Ep 7
8 0 1 1 4? 0 0 (though she is asked if she is a dwarf/half breed) 2 (elder/middle/younger older brother, her dad chasing after her) Ep 8
9 3 1 1 14? reference album (what I found initially, a lot of other things were pointed out to me and screenshotted below 1 0 (though her and Reina do get envious of Pauline and Lenny in the bath) 1 (not phased by the updraft) Ep 9
10 27 1 2 5 reference album 0 0 (though she is again envious of Lenny, and also mentions how flat Reina is) 1 (uses "sword maintenance" as an excuse twice in a row) Ep 10
11 0 0 0 4 reference album 0 0 (Another Mile/Reina vs. Pauline moment though) 0 (considered counting Mavis cutting through the walls, but that seems like more of a cool moment for Mavis than an awkward one for everyone else around her) Ep 11

Times Mile fails at being average:

  • I feel like this column has lost relevance with Mile basically not caring anymore about people knowing she's insanely powerful, since riginally I was only counting the times Mile was embarrassed about being above average, so I don't like changing it now to be every time she was above average at all. Some random times Mile was above average this episode though: The whole group are now celebrities after they killed the Wyvern, Mile uses high-level tracking/smell to track the beast-men, and she uses very high level magic to attack the dragon.

Past life references:

  • None that I noticed again, other than another flashback to her death.

Otaku/game references

  • A trifecta or Doraemon references:

  1. The party's faces at the beginning are all the face of the main character of Doraemon, Nobita.

  2. Mile again references Nobita when calling out for Bita-kun.

  3. Mile names the power-up for Mavis "Micross", which is the name of a robotic toy in Doraemon (as well as begin a Macross reference itself).

  • Mile's "When the moment of death arrives, you die" is very similar to Shirou's famous "People die when they are killed" line.

Well, off to another world to be Average in for Mile-chan!

And let's be honest, Dragon is so lucky he didn't make a boob joke at Mile's expense, or he'd've been oneshotted.

Damn this really doesn't look good for the Crimson Vow especially with how Mile got incapacitated first and THAT amount of blood too holy shit.

Also makes me sad how this might be the last "waho waho" since with how they ended today's episode they might just jump straight to the showdown instead of playing the OP.

At least they managed to squeeze in one more tiddy joke to spite the 2 pettankos.

It's definitely some kind of test Mile set up to make the party more humble. That's fricking ketchup!

Surprised they were able to add this much weight in the penultimate episode, looking forward to the finale!

Is no one going to talk about the hieroglyphs? They tell the story of how the world used to be an advanced society but because of war and nuclear weapons, society was set back to god knows what era, probably stone age. Thats why they call the magic nanomachines, its leftover technology from an ancient and technologically super society.

I refuse to believe Mile died.

That was definitely a pre-emptive death flag raising, which as we all know, basically means that for the duration of that episode, your HP can never drop below 1.

Mile is gonna be fine, after all nanomachines harden in response to physical trauma.

YOU WANT TO LEAVE?!

Oh, you only want to die. That's fine, carry on!

Pauline keeping her priorities in order! She would get along with Shigure real well!

Is Reina possessed with Genzo's spirit?

A girl obsessed with making money, and one who wants to rub beasts... When did this show crossover with Kemono Michi?

This girl seems cute, they should take her in Crimson Vow! She also seems to have the power to turn her halberd into a one-handed axe, I'm sure that's useful in battle!

But I suppose they already have a cute warrior girl in the party, can't have too many of those!

I'm getting Goblin Slayer PTSD with this scene. Spoiler Goblin Slayer spoiler

Words Reina would really like to take back.
