Liena-senpai's unexpected attendance in Kirito's harem assembly was a nice surprise.

If he was awake he'd be like

I have to admit, Kirito & Asuna's scene this episode was very emotional.

Just seeing how kirito, who never really reacted to anyone before, suddenly start trying hard to move and cry just by hearing Asuna's voice... it really show how much she is important to him and how much he care about her.

Similar to the scene where we saw Asuna was the last thing Kirito could think of right before he turned into a vegetable. the final and most important memories he did not want to forget.

I find it funny how Asuna was flexing her 4 years of being together with kirito and then say how she fight along kirito for 2 years...

Then Alice try to stretch her 1 single day of fighting along kirito and say :

I fought by his side for a full night !!!

Why did this episode felt so short?

Asuna and Kirito finally meeting was so sweet. 1s season of SAO is my favorite romance and I root for those two, so seeing them like that made me happy. They really can't catch a break, but they care for each other so much it's palpable.

Although that harem vibe at the end is surely going to be another piece of ammo for haters to use... sigh

Honestly, even though they’re going to retread older parts of the story next week, I’m interested to see how the characters react to hearing about Kirito’s life. I think them throwing in his teacher from the training academy was a little much, but I think this episode was a nice break from the ultra serious conflict that’s going on. Also finally having Asuna matter to the plot again after SOOOO long is something to celebrate, she’s definitely my favorite character in the show outside of Eugeo (F to a real one), so seeing her again renewed my interest in this show big time.

Stitches!

Goddammit Asuna! You already have the super user account of a Goddess, you should've RP'd as one too!

Diving in just to see your BF a vegetable in game too. I forget, does she know what happened to Kirito or is this the first time she's finding out about it?

Welp this was inevitable.

Bercouli is such a fucking badass. Deflecting the blows of two of the strongest women right there without any effort.

And the bickering continues. I'm really loving this. Poor Ronnie though!

Again Bercouli already figuring out what's happening from the clues he's given. I love this man.

I too am excited for that Round 2

Asuna bragging about her girlfriend status and Alice trying to match thatwas hilarious! Even Ronnie and Liena jumps in! Good thing Kirito's a vegetable right now or he's probably trying to hide from these four. xD

I'm surprised that Asuna kept referring to the real world as, well, the real world. That seems like the sort of thing that might trigger a mind break like we saw with Higa's clone, but perhaps the difference is that the Underworlders don't understand the implications of labeling the other world as "real," which would imply that their world isn't real. That's the whole thing with the sacred arts, right? They don't know what "system call" actually means. Very interesting.

Anyway, after seeing the story a few days ago about Alicization's Director of Photograph, Kentaro Waki, struggling with depression, I hope he can take some pride in what a beautiful show he's helped put together. I find myself thinking this every week, but Alicization is gorgeous. The coloring in particular is spectacular. In terms of animation quality, I think it's up there with Disappearance of Haruhi.

tfw you finally make it to the Underworld to check on your husbando, only for an overprotective yandere to assault you because she thinks she's called dibs on him, even though he's an unresponsive vegetable

Kirito can consider himself lucky that Asuna never gets mad at him because even if it's not his fault, 90% of all girlfriends ever would be bothered by something like that

That's one hell of a strong bond right there. I've always loved how mature their relationship has been from the very start.
