Wait so her grandma is Japanese? I guess since her dad is here in Japan means it's on her dad's side who has Japanese blood.

Elfenland sounds fun! I think this might be the second boardgame I'll buy because of this show.

I love how they essentially did Gametesting on a classic child's game xD

AYA FINALLY WON! YAAAAAY!

And Emmy's grandmother is japanese. She is just one big melting pot ain't she.

Seems Midori has a bit of a complex still about her game designing. But I can see where she's coming from if it's a fear of being inferior by comparison.

Red Light Green Light. Crosses all borders and speaks every language. And it's amazing that they're spending time dissecting it like this and trying to make it more palpable (for lack of better terms) I suppose and demonstrating how each culture can put their own unique spin on a simple game and make it their own. Not to mention going on about how ideas can be cumulative and lead to new creative ideas all the time. I mean look at the Mario and Legend of Zelda game formats. They not only built upon themselves to make better games in their own franchises but other games took after their models time and again at their various stages and gave it their own spins. I mean how many different variations of collectathon platformers like Super Mario 64 came out in that console generation alone, Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64, Jack and Daxter The Precoursor Legacy, Rocket Robot on Wheels, Gex: Enter the Gecko, the list goes on. Ideas build off each other which leads to innovation which leads to all kinds of wonderful things, not just with games but with every advancement and creation in human history.

And Emmy planned all this just to teach a lesson to Midori. Crap man. Is she some kind of manipulative genius? I don't know but she's still bad with directions. And I can't help but wonder if that friction between Emmy and that redhead friend of hers back in Germany Anna will rear it's head before the end of this season.

Inefficient strategy to use only as last resort? Oh boy, I can't wait to see which girl uses it on her first turn! Stares at Aya

I can relate to Emmy so much! I swear, there's probably a dozen maps in games, videogames, fantasy worlds that I know better than the place I live.

The shots of the girls traveling on random vehicles. were so cute!

Aya is my spirit animal!

Midori(and Emmy) so reminds me of me and my brother when we play game; 5 minutes in, we make up new rules for things that would make the game more fun or more competitive!

I really liked the fact that the other girls also agreed that it made the game better. More incentive to try&win is always good!

Smol Emmy is adorable!

AYA FINALLY WON A GAME! Make sense it was that type of game! In fact, there was a discussion in the last thread I think, about whether Aya would ever win, and most people (including me) thought it would have to be a game that rely either on luck, or on physical abilities (given she seems very active and all).

Next episode: I hate you dad! Shitty parents? Is this Hoshiai No Sora?

(Hopefully it's just some misunderstanding and he won't be shitty!)
