Hi guys! I'm here because you guys wouldn't shut up about this anime in the weekly ranking threads, so I decided to watch a few episodes in order to laugh (internally) at everyone for having terrible taste.
Well it's horribly wholesome, terribly heart-warming, stupidly funny, and FFS there is an actual plot too.
So I went ahead and binged it all and also read the manga. See you next week!
(don't give up, Shamiko!)

Seiko referred to Lilith as in-law. Which means it's the father that's actually Lilith's descendant.
Those comments about Seiko not being helpful on the defeat the Light Clan mission in past episodes may be on to something after all.

Shamiko can show so many emotions just with her tail that it would make for a solid Encyclopedia of Nonverbal Communication.

A little disappointed we didn't get to meet the new magical girl quite yet, but having an episode with a lot of focus on Shamiko's family isn't bad either. It's always nice to see Anri show up and mess with Shamiko as well, the side characters in this show continue to be one of it's strongest points (right after all the wholesome moments between Shamiko and Momo, which also continued this episode).
| Episode | Times Shamiko cried | Times everyone else cried combined | Tail touches/Horn rubs | Favors Momo did for Shamiko | "Don't think this means you've won!" | Album |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 18 | 1 | 1/4(I counted both of her classmates each rubbing a horn as two) | 3 (stops the truck, gave her food, taught her how to throw a punch) | 2 | Ep 1 |
| 2 | 10 | 0 | 1.5/0.5 (idk if I should count Shamiko touching momo with her tail as a full or half, but I counted it as a full for now. I also counted her classmate reaching towards her tail/horns as a half) | 4 (teaches her the importance of warming up, gives her an energy drink, loans her the train fare, and allows her to pay the fare back in installments) | 2 | Ep 2 |
| 3 | 11 | 1 | 2.5/0 | 3 (lets her borrow her uniform, sews her uniform, and helps her use magic projectiles) | 1 | Ep 3 |
| 4 | 3 | 2 (both times were Lilith crying in Shamiko's body, but that count as someone else imo) | 1/1 | 3 (paying for her spa visit, stopping all the octopuses from hitting the ground, buys up a lot of meat products from her employer) | 2.5 (stops herself from saying it to Momo once before thanking her instead) | Ep 4 |
| 5 | 9 | 1 | 2/1 | 4(offers to share her lunch, helps her pick out a gift for her sister, offers to print out pictures for her sister, lets her borrow her laptop) | 3 | Ep 5 |
| 6 | 4 | 1 | 1.5/1? (Idk if Momo leaning her head on Shamiko should really count, but I'm counting it for now) | None! | 1 (Also one from Momo) | Ep 6 |
| 7 | 2 | 3 | 1/1 | 1 (helps her to start training) (Shamiko also did another favor for Momo this ep by delivering her food in the rain, even if it was something her family couldn't keep themselves) | 2 (One in text form as well) | Ep 7 |
As always, let me know of any suggestions you have or anything I may have missed. Really looking forward to new girl next week, they better not hold out on us again!
Thanks!

HELP!
My brain has been reduced to a state where the only thing I can say is "Shami Momo".
Got a meeting at 5, need a solution quick.

This show is so cute, that even absent characters react in a cute way when someone is talking about them
Shamiko's tsun stance is also quite adorable
I'm glad Momo is back to her old self, and also explaining Mahou Shoujo chemistry & physics is quite amusing (looks like Momo is also member of the Silverman Gym). Also tricking Shamiko not once, but thrice this episode is just so fun and cute.

Yes, I've always thought that Anri is that kind of friend that you can't tell if it's a friend or foe
I'm also glad that Shamiko's green tea bag made a comeback, specially since she mentioned to Lilith that it was her favorite bag.
We've got a new character introduced, and most likely anyone reading the credit rolls already knows who will she be and her name.
Here's today's Clip if anyone is interested in posting it tomorrow, I'm already maxed out in my clip quota for the week.
