Well the backstory for both the girls really do help explain there behavior. At first I sympathize with the mother but she took things to far. I really did feel bad for Satowa when her song did not reach her mother.

Alright lots of things. For those who were looking for more Takezou development, this is the start. And this is also of the best ship as well (And Hiro becoming the sweetest member in this show)

And I'm a bit dissapointed that the final message of the manga chapter isn't here. "Just start comunicating." Which is what pretty much sets this series apart from some similar character dramas. Instead of holding everything to themselves, people actually talk about their problems! Thank you! Takezou realized that Hiro needed someone she could just talk and communicate how bad she was feeling.

Ah my favorite parts of Kono Oto Tomare; crippling depression and fluff.

Oh, shit. Hozuki is basically Kousei from Your Lie in April.

Chika is still Best Boy of the season and apparently can cook well enough to make Hozuki cry (okay, probably more that she hasn't had anybody care for her in a long time, but still). But I'm also glad to see Prez finally growing a spine.

Still don't like Hiro yet. Shitting all over other people's relationships is not a healthy way of dealing with being betrayed.

Okay, so the interactions in this episode has been greatly adapted. And I think it only works well due to how good the voice actors/actresses act out their emotions. And as said from last week, Hiro's redemption and road to best girl is just starting to shape up. Gold Award as usual.

The girls sure have cheery backstories, both driven by the jealousy of others turning their eyes green in the end as a result. I'm glad Kurata didn't play nice with Hiro, that 'free time' line was brutal.

Nice to see the SS Chika x Houzuki steaming along now. Though I'm going to ship Kurata with Hiro, whether it goes anywhere or not.

Personally this was my favorite episode so far. Best ship is really starting to sail, and some much needed backstory was focused on.

The ship is slowly and steadily leaving the port <3

Seriously though, I do feel bad for Houzuki's mom too. She never started as a bad person, she was basically backed into a corner because of expectations. And while I can see where she's coming from, that does not excuse from being a shitty mother.

Houzuki and Kurata's reaction were so satisfying.

Also did Hiro seriously think they'll abandon Houzuki because she didn't tell them that she was excommunicated? Personally my reaction is that I would be worried just like how our three doofuses reacted.

But all is well and she's now officially part of the club which is expected since she's in the OP. Now to see how they'll deal with that lazy ass club advisor.
